I bought definitive technology floor speakers, center, bipolar and subwoofer. All are amazing and the sound experience is changing the way I watch movies. I would recommend them to anyone that cares about good clear audio. Using them to play music is fantastic too.

Originally purchased the 9020 and opted to upgrade to the 40's. With price match, received a great deal. Added this to a surround system and these have delivered all.

Im so impressed with the sound from the speakers that i came back and purchased the tops to them that mimic ceiling speakers and i am blown away. What a wonderful setup.

Great speakers but feel like they are missing some mid range compared to other speakers I heard. Probably good for movies but less favorable for music. However, all comes down to individual liking.

After buying the wrong kind of speakers Mike referred these speakers. We needed 1 more and he found it for us even though we had to drive to another store so we could have it that night. I’m really amazed how great they sound.

So there are definitely better speakers out there, no question about that. But you would be hard pressed to find speakers that sound as good as these for this price. I was between these and CM10s (different price point) and I chose these. Not that CM10s sound the same because they do not but because they are more than twice the price I opted for these until I could save up a bit more. The subs could be a bit bigger but that's what the 9060s are for. I think in my room two 8 inch subs sound great. I'm running these in stereo off of a Denon X4200.

Bought for my husbands birthday and could not have picked a better brand to start his home stereo setup. We only have 2 towers and a center channel and the sound is epic.

What an amazing speaker. Those in the back add to the depth. This sound much better than a lot of other brands. The hi fi dynamic is sure to impress.

I researched these speakers because I wanted to replace my existing home theater with something that supported Dolby Atmos. The demos at Best Buy did not go well with various receiver and playback issues however I decided to purchase them and give them a try. Best Buy shipped them directly to my house via Fed Ex and they were well packaged and in perfect shape on arrival even though they were quite heavy. Once I got them installed and operational I tested them with various sources and was very pleased with the results. My biggest fear that these speakers would be bass heavy were not realized. They have great high and mid ranges and because the speakers have individual bass control in the rear you can pick how much bass you like. So I am very pleased with the results thus far.

Replacing my ten years old theater with this pair of BP-9040 tower speakers, center CS-9040 and SR-9040. Amazing system.

I've got 2 BP9040's paired with a CS9040, currently driven by a lower-end Yamaha receiver. Even with the low-end receiver, these things sound great!

Tested many speakers and didn’t think these were best looking speakers but were the best sounding. My friend bought these after hearing them too.

I bought a pair of these to upgrade my existing fronts in my home theater system. What a HUGE difference they made. The 8" powered sub in each really fills out the lows across my entire front sound stage as it should be. They are not that big size wise, but they pack tremendous sound. I paired these with the 9060 center and a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX503 AV Reciever and I now have the front soundstage I have wanted. Def Tech recommends not using the auto sound setup of AV receivers on their towers and centers. I wiped all my settings and inputted the distance using a laser measuring tool and set the channel levels via a db meter. My system has never sounded as good, much less better.

This is my first tower speaker and I love quality of the audio. I really like the fact that the tower has a subwoofer that is not overpowering.

Wow.. these things hit hard with crisp delivery.. a definite must to add to your home theater or musical likings...

Great sounding speakers and they look good too. I had heard them at my parents’ house before I bought them. They set the scene in my media room

I bought these speakers as rear speakers and so far I'm impressed by the power they give out. Next - I'm buying the A90 speakers that go on top to add Atmos.

I wanted to upgrade our home theatre speakers, and these were a perfect fit. These speakers deliver great clarity, fantastic bass response, and an immersive sound stage in a beautiful design. The AV receiver driving this setup is a Denon AVRx4500. Another plus: I retirer two external subwoofers, since the built-in 8" units add high impact for music and movies.
