I moved and had to replace some definitive in-wall reference speakers with these. They are head and shoulders above, particularly for music. Plus, they were 1/2 off!!!

I bought these because Best Buy stopped carrying the Klipsch reference premier line. I didn't want to go with the old reference speakers or have to upgrade everything to the newest wireless Klipsch so I was forced to look at other brands. The sales price sold me and the speakers looked great but when I hooked them up one of the speakers on one of them was distorted. They are big and I didn't want to have to return them but for that amount of money I paid and hearing the distortion I had no choice. The speakers them selves were fairly loud but what was impressive was the bass. The two 10inch woofers along with my 12 inch sounded amazing! ultimately they had to go back. I'm sticking with Klipsch and going elsewhere for the RP line

My dad has seven sets of Def Techs....I have always wanted a pair, so I just pulled the trigger. I am glad I did.

The sound quality is amazing, and the bass is good enough for the room I have them in. Unless you are trying to fill a very large room or if you just really love a lot of bass then you absolutely do not need another subwoofer. These things make you feel the noise with the bass on halfway and they are not sloppy whatsoever. Great buy.

I love my 8060 towers! I thought about getting the 8040, but worth the purchase!

When this speaker was hooked up, the base rattled the floor and walls.

It does make a difference in sound quality when you buy a complete system vs a miss matched group of speakers. The sound quality is much more evenly spread out now that I have 5 matching speakers.
