I bought this computer when it was $100 off and for the price, I don't think you can beat the 2 in 1 capabilities and the small design. It is relatively lightweight for a laptop and very easy to store and take around with you. I have not seen any issues with speed and the product feels very durable.

The Inspiron 2-1 13.3 laptop was the perfect switch from my 17 inch laptop. It was a pain carrying the big laptop to school and this laptop is really easy to carry around. The touchscreen is a nice feature to use, but you have to clean the screen fairly frequently.

I liked the Dell, especially after comparing it to the price of the Lenovo Yoga 3 (which I had read has processor issues dealing with the high-end monitor). I love the 2-in-1 feature which makes it really cool to have it set upright ('A' style) on a desk. It isn't particularly as comfortable to hold in your hand than a normal tablet. Being able to set it up on a table is great . Just keep a buffing cloth handy as you will be wiping fingerprints off for any kind of demonstration or presentation where you use it. Note: You will have to upgrade to Windows 10 on this model, unless you purchased the similar model that has it pre-installed. Back-lit keyboard is great and I love the vertical view if I'm reading an article. The latter comment is more a function of Window 10, but it is still nice. Battery life seems ok (more like 4 hours a frequent use) but nothing too out-of-the-normal. I enjoy the quick off-on button, which gives it more of a tablet feel. Several things to be aware of: 1. (THIS was the biggest one:) The Home/End and PgUp/PgDown keys are integrated into the arrow/directional keys. You have to use the 'Fn' key to access Home or PgUp. This sucks for anyone using Excel or Word or that likes to use keyboard shortcuts to move around. The arrow keys are very small, so it is easy to miss what you are looking for. 2. The function keys are default to the particular actions (brightness, volume, etc.) . You will need to go into the bio at start up to change them to the normal F-keys as you have on a standard keyboard. 3. There is no rear-camera as you would expect on a normal tablet. Really takes away some of the reasons I have an iPad. 4. Microphone: I've had some people complain while on Skype or Facebook Msgr that they cannot hear me. I've had to play with Microsoft's microphone setup a couple of times to really get it to work. Seems like a sturdy machine, a little on the heavy side when compared to Lenovo Yoga 3, but a great laptop replacement. Get ready for some of the nuances of Windows 10 when you upgrade.

This laptop was exactly what I was looking for. It's lightweight. Plenty of speed and memory. The touchscreen is great. I hadn't really had much experience with these new 2-in-1's but they're pretty cool.

This laptop runs smoothly and even smoother once i upgraded to windows 10. Im glad i dont have to deal with windows 8.1. Cons are battery life, staying around 4 hours, but it's not a big issue since i dont want to be on my laptop for too long. Makes it easier on me to take breaks for my eyes and prevent eye strain. Another isssue is the trackpad doesn't scroll as smoothly but im still refining the settings to my liking. Im coming from a 2008 macbook and im enjoying my IPS display as well as slightly bigger screen. Sounds on the laptop are decent at a low to regular volume. Does become slightly distorted at higher volumes sometimes but at that point i always connect to my externaL speakers if i want big sound. Overall a very decent laptop for its price.

This is a great product. It is fast, lightweight, and very portable. I take this 2-in-1 with me on all business trips. It's just the right size and the built-in keyboard feels like I'm using a traditional keyboard.

I dithered for quite a while over which computer to buy to replace my dying Dell laptop. I tried an HP with touchscreen but it was so full of bloat and ad ware that I returned it. This little Dell worked great right out of the box, with a minimum of set up. I use the desktop for work-related tasks and the tablet side for streaming video and the like. It's great for watching TV in bed, although it's a tad slow when first loading Netflix or Amazon video. The picture is great and, when I connect to my 17" monitor, I don't lose any of the sharpness. I had to order an external drive for some software I have on CDs but those are cheap enough. Overall, I'm very pleased with this laptop and hope it lasts as long as my previous Dell.

We recently purchased this laptop for a business run from our home, but requires meetings around the city. The main issue was size and portability which are both amazing for our needs. Light weight, compact, yet just enough screen space to do the job it needs. The HD screen is amazingly clear. This was a great purchase without paying the higher price for a Mac.

I love computers, and this lap top is light, just the size I need, the keyboard lights up, which makes it easy to type at night if I need. The screen definition is really good.

I was reluctant to buy a Windows 8 device, but the operating system has proved to be worth the effort of learning new tricks. Touchscreen functionality makes for a whole new PC experience. We use this machine to run the Microsoft office suite, video conference, and stream multimedia. This Dell does all of it very well. While it's cool in theory to fold the laptop into a tablet, it makes for a huge tablet. Best to you use this machine for what it is: a laptop.

It's a lap top. It does it's job. I previously had a Mac and I just think I prefer Mac system over Windows 8. I never thought I'd be that person but apparently I am. I will say that when you have too many internet browsers up, they start to flash and you have to close them and reopen. That is annoying. I don't use my computer for anything specific, so this will do for now. When it dies I will go back to Mac.

This is a fantastic machine and exceeds all others in battery life. I have purchased two for the doctors working in my clinic. They would be so much faster if they had an SSD Drive. Once they start up, they work just great. However, the startup time is still very long.

Bought at #767 Estero, FL. Had a processor issue with a floor model that was discounted. Was traveling in WV for 2 weeks and was not able to get to a Best Buy. My frustration level was soon defused when GM Tim Hutchens offered to give me a store credit for a new laptop rather than go through all the protection plan repairs. Steve M. in the computer section helped me pick a replacement. Jay & Stephen at the Geek Squad made my exchange stress free. They also removed the information off my computer and put it on my new computer. My vivid memory of just 30 days loading ALL my stuff onto a new computer was daunting, overwhelming and very time consuming. Tim Hutchens, GM facilitated the entire efforts of his team. I had my replacement laptop in 24 hours. Because of Tim and his team's service to me, my boyfriend bought a laptop and package within 48 hours. I am also planning to purchase a larger monitor to attach to my laptop. I would recommend this location because of the staff. I am not at all impressed with Windows 8.1. I will be happy to install the upcoming version next month!

    Great laptop

Let me start by saying that I've been a loyal Lenovo customer for over 20 years. I needed a replacement because my Lenovo had multiple problems (hardware & software) and decided to give Dell a try since I'd had a great experience with my desktop. I walked into the store knowing the specs of what I wanted and was not wed to any brand (although I wanted to steer clear of Lenovo and ASUS because of poor customer service experiences). This laptop is a winner. The I5 processor gives me all the speed I want. The 8Gb of memory is more than enough, and the 500Gb hard drive is plenty now that I'm using the cloud for storage of documents. The HD screen resolution is actually so high that I needed to dumb it down a bit to be able to read everything on the screen. The overall weight, design, and styling are great. A friend saw it and was so impressed at the ability to use it as a PC or tablet that he bought one the next day. If I had to criticize anything, it would be the lack of an RJ45 jack. This is not a big deal but there are times that I would like to take advantage of download speeds at home or the office in excess of what WiFi can handle. This problem was easily remedied with a quick trip to Fry's where I got a USB to Ethernet adapter for $15.
