Returned this computer for a R7 5800x and 3070

If system thermals are of concern, you can prioritize cooling by opening the Alienware Command Center application that came pre-installed with your device and select the 'Cool' thermal profile. Keep in mind that our G5 follows Intel performance design guidelines, which can lead CPU temperatures to reach 100°C to output top in-game performance. We fully warrant the product under these conditions. We do recommend contacting us when you see CPU temperatures rising beyond 100°C on Alienware Command Center.

Great off the shelf rig for gaming

Its great for gaming. I do wish that there was room to install bigger case fans, it runs a little hot when gaming at high settings.

So far it has been a hit for everything we've asked of it. Gaming on the PC is great and my son loves it. We looked at a few but this one was the right choice for sure. I will look to Best Buy for future purchases as well.

You would have to replace case to upgrade power and the power supply is limited, as well as having aother board with proprietary power connection, so if doing a GPU upgrade will probably need to replace the power supply,case, and motherboard. So very little to no upgrade abolity

Keep in mind that your G5 supports up to 225W for graphics which should be more than enough for a strong majority of graphics cards. Please refer to the power and space requirements of a GPU in question prior to upgrading your G5. If you have any other questions, feel free to visit the support page for your G5 gaming desktop.

Better System and Better Customer Service

One thing that was particularly impressive was that the tower was a lot smaller than my previous desktop which made it a lot easier to maneuver it around in the tight space that I had to place it.

For a prebuilt gaming PC excellent did have to upgrade the cooling for the CPU. Ran a little hot at first without having to turn the fan on wide open. Upgraded to “be quiet CPU air cooler” and it never runs hot. The fans are super quiet. Would recommend this produce for anyone trying out the gaming/business desktop. This is a good one.

I get a message that says not enough memory when I try to play Tiger Woods Golf. While these games are pretty old as computer games go, I still would think this computer would play them

Rest assured that with the specifications included, your G5 is designed to handle even the most demanding modern titles with ease. Based on what you described, the software may be experiencing difficulty recognizing the modern hardware of your system. We suggest referring to the recommended specifications of a title to determine if your PC will perform adequately. In the instance of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 (the latest release) the game recommends at least 2GB of RAM. Provided your system is outfitted with 16GB, it should be more than enough.
