Great gamer laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great gamer laptop with no frills exterior. It can very hot during use. The 1060 graphics can support VR which is very good considering the price.

Great computer for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read a lot of review before I purchased this Laptop. Has plenty of Memory and storage for me and probably most users. Keyboard is compact but very functional. The speakers are fair if you are doing light duty things., such as Youtube or Netflix. Bluetooth some external speaker you will be much happier. Screen brightness is fair, it could probably be a little brighter, Overall for the money around a $1000 I feel it was a pretty good deal.

EXCELLENT VALUE & PERFORMANCE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this laptop for about 2 weeks now. My honest review is that this machine is FAST! I use it for school and casual gaming and this thing holds up to ANY task I throw at it. It's not as bulky as I was expecting and the blue keyboard looks fantastic. The only downside is the thick bezels around the screen, but I can live with that. You're easily getting the specs of a +$1600 laptop for this great price that Dell charges. I highly would recommend to anyone looking for a powerful laptop at an excellent value.

AWESOME LAPTOP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Dell ever and it has more than surpassed my expectations. I am a casual gamer so I do not need the highest end gaming computer, but this computer has it all!! It has 1TB hard drive + 128GB SSD which is a nice bonus. The fluidity of the screen and refresh rate is amazing. Having 16GB RAM really allows for multiple windows and applications running all at once. If you want a nice middle of the road price wise gaming laptop with great performance then the Dell G7 is your laptop too!

Excellent Machine, bit expensive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was for my niece, who wanted a power pack for her graphic designs. With its 16GB memory and GPU memory hardly 50% gets used. The build is great, very robust, however for outdoor use additional battery may be advised as the total battery backup is not more than 6 hrs of working time. For college students this may be a little challenging. Also it is bulky with the vent fans almost looking like a pick ups radiator vent. One surprising thing is Dell has NG reduced this price at look

Good product with few issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the laptop but was not able to use it on a daily basis. So my experience and feedback will be based on those times when I used it. I like the laptop, given the specifications, it is worth the cost. However, after installing an anti-virus software, it already identified around 3 - 4 malwares. Though they were cleaned by the anti-virus software, it made me less comfortable using it and question why would a brand new laptop have malwares inside. I did some research before buying the laptop, so I am aware with the heat issue it is currently experiencing. Though I think this is a better product than the cheap HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop, know that when I plugged it the first time, the fans started spinning at max speed with the laptop sitting idle and no apps opened. After a few use of the said laptop, I notice that the fan runs less frequent but it will still run regardless of what it is doing (even if it is doing nothing). I did not update the BIOS as suggested by other users since the update will only prevent the laptop fan from running which will generate more heat to your laptop Overall with my minimal usage of the laptop (so far), I think it is ok for my intended use. I also like the easy access of the back panel for future upgrade plans and the USB-Type C Thunderbolt port I would still recommend this product but with caution

Got this Gaming Lap Top for my Son!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Son was looking for a good gaming lap top and we checked out several stores and web sites before he decided on this one. When we went to Best Buys we didn't think they would have much for him to consider but we were wrong. This Dell G7 had all the bells and whistles he needed, was a newer model, was on sale and he also was able to apply for a Student discount through the Best Buy web site. He is very pleased with his choice and he got it at a pretty good price/value.

Product meets and exceeds expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous laptops were dying, so I needed an upgrade for both gaming and video editing, alongside other miscellaneous tasks. I can happily say this powerful laptop has done everything I needed it to do and then some. It is crucial that you download all the updates for drivers and software, but do that and you have a solid machine that can handle basic video editing and play most video games to around 2017-18 and older at AAA quality.

Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for running large programs such as ArcGIS, RStudio, and World of Warcraft and it has yet to let me down. It runs really smooth. The graphics are amazing. The only reasons it can't get 5 stars is because the file Explorer freezes if I try to use it and also you have to be crafty with where you save your files because the C drive fills up quickly and doesn't automatically spill over into the D drive.

Great gaming laptop for casual gamers!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a console gamer for years, but due to recent life changes (for the better!), my console game time is GONE! I've been trying to figure out a good way to still play all the new games I want. I thought about getting a Switch, but the third-party support for that isn't all that impressive and the screen in portable mode is 6" which might be ok, but thinking about games like Diablo or Borderlands on a screen the same size as my infotainment system in my car sounded like it could be rough. I was originally thinking I would just give it up, but then I read some other articles and sites that convinced me that a gaming laptop might be exactly what I need, and it is! Reviews have talked about how heavy the laptop is and how dim the screen is, but I'm mainly hooking the laptop to a TV and playing with an XBOX controller, so neither of those are concerns for me! I was frustrated at first because I tried running a game on it and it ran terribly, but it turns out the reason was because it was still trying to use the onboard graphics instead of the dedicated graphics card. I read an article that explained how to select what adapter is used for gaming in Windows 10, and once making that change, I was quite happy! I only have 2 gripes, but they're both to be expected by not buying one of the higher end laptops: 1) I benchmarked WWE 2K19 and was getting between 45-55 FPS. Still playable, but there was noticeable lag. Side note: Benchmark means push the system as hard as possible and see how it does. In this case, it was a 6 man tag match with all graphics settings set to max. Fortunately, in my actual playing, there's never any lag, and about the only difference is that I only have maybe 4 people on screen at once. 2) The screen is only 1080P. I was thinking it'd be cool to have 4K so I can see if I really want to invest in it for my TV.. Side note: Keep in mind what you're playing your laptop on if you connect it to a TV like I usually do. I had the game settings maxed out but this is in my office with a 720P TV, so there's no sense in using maxed out settings. When playing on the laptop itself though, then I do all maxed out.

Okay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for my son and he hasn't seen any issues yet. I played overwatch on it's best settings and it runs smooth. Good for a first gaming laptop or if you have a nice pc set up and want something on the side. Can get a bit hot after 2 hours of gaming but not too bad. Can't recommend this as your main gaming station but if you want something extra and you can nab it at a good price then go for it.

Solid laptop for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop when it was on sale and used a student discount. For $999, it is a good laptop. It's best feature are: good thermals, does not look like a "gamer" laptop, graphics card is good for current games. Worst feature is probably the display but at this price point, it is acceptable. I did swap out the display with a new 120hz more color accurate panel ($90) and now I think it's pretty perfect for a $1000 laptop

Solid choice for a laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As far as a laptop goes this is a great choice. For everyday work, school work, browsing, typing this laptop passes with flying colors. Excellent speed. For gaming I have no complaints I'm not a hardcore PC gamer but the computer holds up nicely with the nvidia 1060. Battery life is super short while gaming but pretty decent outside of it. If you're looking for a starting gaming laptop this is a solid choice.

Love my laptop
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my laptop so far. It has worked great and does everything I need it to. I'm not a gamer, I specifically bought it for editing videos in Adobe Premiere. The memory and graphics card is plenty sufficient. I just wish it wasn't so heavy and was more portable, but it's a gaming laptop so that's what you get. Any other laptop would have cost doubled the amount.

It's a decent gaming laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop met my expectations when it came to the quality and specs, but the battery life on this (not playing games and on battery saver) was roughly 5 hours. After using the laptop for a couple weeks, I found myself very annoyed with the super loud fan that this laptop has. My brother's G5 didn't have a fan like this. I also loved the blue color scheme on the laptop. It was refreshing.

Solid gaming laptop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dell is not the most prestigious brand when it comes to gaming. However, this laptop is pretty good for the money. It has good specs and performs well. It has a sleek design and black and blue is nice. Also, I like how the screen looks. I'd get this if you want to shave a couple hundred bucks off of getting an ASUS, ACER, or other similar brand with the same specs.

Great gaming laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G series is great for gaming, yet keeps the price low. It has performed very well so far, taking on games at high graphics settings, though it can get a little hot at times. Also great for daily use. The keyboard is nice and key spacing feels great. Laptop body is made of plastic, but that doesn't affect performance in any way.

Great Entry Level Gaming PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly think Dell has done a fantastic job of optimizing the power to price ratio in this laptop. I recently replaced the standard HD with a 1TB SSD (on sale at BB) and I was so amazed by how easy the process ended up being (thanks to a one screw design and open access to components). This laptop eats up everything I throw at it. *flies away to play Anthem*

Fast and Powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this for about 2 months now and haven't had any issues except for a couple start up hang ups. Probably related to Dell updates though. I've run 3D modeling software while watching videos and listening to music with no problem. Boots fast and runs fast. Haven't had the chance to play any games yet but graphics look great everywhere else.
