Was looking for a gaming laptop with some muscle without breaking the bank. Found the Dell G7 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 and 8th Generation i7Core Processor and the GeForce GTX1060 has 6 GB GDDR5 dedicated video. I'm not what you would call a hard core "gamer". Wanted it specifically for my Golf Simulator and Software that runs some 4K graphics and didn't want any lag. Also for Course designing and playing directly from the laptop. This meets all the demands. Very happy with the purchase.

Purchased this for college and is performing well so far. I am an engineering student and run several programs and to date have not had any issues. I have also played the PC version of Fortnite on this laptop and not had any problems. Overall the value is great for the price as compared to other devices. The one con is I have noticed the battery life is not lasting as long as when I purchased but this could be due to the heavier loads will keep watching to see if it worsens.

This is a values laptop. The price is reasonable compares with other gaming laptops. The speed is great with the SSD, consider to upgrade to bigger ssd in the future.

The laptop is a great deal for what you get. The top of the line with speed and storage. It allows me to do what I need. Great replacement for a desk top.

Upon returning to school last fall, I told my dad that I needed a laptop for my freshman year of college and I told him this would be a great choice. The best buy sales rep thoroughly explained the differences in the specs and the capabilities of each laptop, leading to my decision to buy the Dell G7. I am so far pretty happy with my laptop, but there is one thing I’m not psyched about, which is the fact that the laptop runs and plays games way smoother and faster when CHARGING. There is literally no point in trying to play games like PUBG, Fortnite, etc if the laptop isn’t plugged in

Its a very good notebook for its price, the only thing that could be better is that it gets too hot while playing and make a some noise, the rest its just perfect.

Overall good, solid state memory make the operative system run smoothly. The RAM and graphic card allows me to play everything in highest quality.

For a gaming laptop it’s really convenient and lightweight. Not many light features compared to the alien wares, or over clocking function software. Mostly a good spec laptop with few extras. One complaint as everyone is the display. I have an older laptop running vista. The display is by far better. To note the graphics card is a slim version. So it’s a mediocre 1060. I ran a couple games on ultra and had some tearing and lost frames per second. Gets kind of loud and hot at the top of the keyboard where it vents. For the price though you can’t complain.

Good laptop for the price, does everything I need. One downside is that it does get pretty hot, more than I expected.

Bought this for my son who is an avid gamer. The laptop is powerful and able to most games. Build quality is nice. Only one issue which recently came up when we were looking at connecting the Occulus Rift S VR headset to this laptop and that was that the USB-C output is not connected to the GPU directly and neither does the laptop have a display port. So we were unable to use the Occulus rift S and had to return it. Other than that, a fantastic gaming laptop. This could have been made better by providing a Display port.

I am loving my DELL G7, I am not a gamer, but I am a researcher and a need a good computer. The computer is very fast and easy to work. loving it

We bought it for our highschool child. He seems to be utilizing it very well. He likes its speed and performance.

The item came quickly and was just as described. The build is great with amazing graphics and speed.

First of all, I'm not a gamer...so, I can't really speak to that. I can say that our 23yo son, who IS a gamer, was extremely jealous when I brought it home and unboxed and set up ;) However, I purchased for photo and video editing, etc. The specs are similar, and this G7 seemed like a great way to go! So far, it's done everything that I've needed with outstanding speed. As I've only had it about a month, I can't vouch for "longevity." But, thus far, I've been quite pleased with the performance of this machine.

Love the new G7. Not a gamer, but watch lots of streaming video and it's perfect for this. The ssd drive is fast and I would highly recommend it.

Fast for video editing and Oculus fun. Able to use seamlessly with Sony Vegas video editing software, Video Game design creation and Oculus Rift

So far so good. Nice and fast. Only problem is the corners of the laptop are sharp and a pain while using keyboard playing games.

The graphics are absolutely stunning, the laptop runs very fast and handles video games at max quality with ease. Love this product!

Fast and powerful claptop computer. Good for online gaming and plenty of storage for work and school.

games all working well, speed isn't an issue, speakers are nice. the power cord is a little loose, though, so keep an eye on that.
