This computer was of great quality. From the backlit keyboard to the beautiful casing. Unfortunately, the battery was bad straight out of the box. I have since purchased another Dell. It is nowhere near as nice as this one is. It has the same internal components but doesn't come close with the quality of the case or the backlit keyboard. I would highly recommend this computer. I wish I had bought another one rather than choosing a different one.

Geek squad "painstakingly and lovingly tested"

I ordered this laptop from Best Buy, it was refurbished by Geek Squad and the description stated "painstakingly and lovingly tested." When the laptop arrived, a card in the box was included with the statement "your laptop was meticulously inspected by geek squad to work perfectly right out of the box" Well, long story short, the laptop had a dead battery on arrival. Right when you power it on, it states that battery is not detected. that seems a little too obvious to miss on a meticulous test! The battery is internal and it is not something you can just swap. Took the laptop back to best buy and they wanted to ship it out for warranty instead of refund, I told them I am not waiting 2 weeks for a repair on something that didn't work from day one!!! A guy from PC sales stated that he had the same one with the same specs in the back that's an open-box item and that he was sure that they can do an even exchange on, that seemed fair and I was ok with that, the guy went to the back and 2 minutes later the store manager shows up instead and tells me that there is a miscount and that open-box item is no longer available.(this is a store in Houston, TX - Willowbrook location.) He recommended that I upgrade to a laptop that was 400.00 more that the one I purchased, I told him no thank you and took my refund. This is the last time I will buy a geek squad item. I am not gonna say I will never shop at best buy again, because I appreciate the products they sell, but I know not to trust the people working there, or at least the management team.

Do not buy any best buy refurbished products. Waist of time. Mine arrived with no Microsoft product key to activate windows and best buy/dell/Microsoft could not help out getting it. Best buy supervisor on the phone said only option is to return the product to get a refund. Total waist of time. He could not even find a close by best buy with similar product for me when asked. Buy at your own risk!

Currently having the same problem as Alex. Windows is not pre installed like promised and nobody seems to know why or how to fix it.
