This was recommended by the employee of Best Buy. I bought for my wife. After the first time using the Dell it went to some kind of recovery mode. The second Dell I bright home was very slow. It would not work when my wife tried to go from file to file. It was already locking up.

OS crashed thrice in less than a month. Keyboard keys felt shaky in less than 3 weeks. Contacted best buy: said keys looked ok to the official. OS is slow and has several issues ...

I'll be honest, when this laptop first arrived I wasn't thrilled with it. The touchpad seemed slow and not very precise, the screen wasn't particularly vibrant even at the highest brightness setting, and things weren't moving as quickly as I anticipated due to the 8GB of ram and the SSD. But then I updated a few drivers (including one for the touchpad) and after I plugged it in and let it do its thing for a while it was almost like a different computer. The touchpad is still not as silky as that of my MacBook Pro, but that is to be expected given the $900+ price difference. I am a big fan of the SSD. I will be using this computer for travel and working remotely, so it's going to be moved around extensively and it's nice not to have to worry about a HD sustaining damage from accidental bumps. It also boots up very quickly. I have not found any similar configuration from any manufacturer for this price. Do I wish the processor was at least a Core i3? Sure, but the 8GB of memory tipped the scales for my hesitancy about the processor. I've had no problems switching between applications, Word, Excel, and web browsing. I'm storing my files to OneDrive to conserve space and have purchased a 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive for added storage. The touch function is excellent and the hinge feels very solid when flipping to and from tablet mode. Overall, this is a versatile, lightweight, well-built computer and this particular model is a great deal.

I recently bought this laptop mainly because of the size and 8 GB RAM. This laptop is small size, very comfortable keyboard, nice big track pad, comfortably switches between tablet mode and laptop mode. Windows 10 much better than Win 8 but does have some initial issues with Wifi connectivity and DNS issues. Price could have been much lower and the hard disk could have been of more capacity. Have good speakers for such a small laptop. I am please with this purchase.

Thus far it seems alright. It's been a long while since I used a laptop or a desktop, so I have to relearn. I have been having problems finding the correct info about this machine, since it seems to be a special edition. I have no idea which of the other model numbers to use to find accessories for It. It did not even come with a manual. I cannot even find basic information like how much storage capacity can this media reader handle. Then the final blow is the price. I've had this machine for just 3, 3! days. But now it is $100 less than what I paid just earlier this week.

    Worst Dell Product

2 hours after purchasing this laptop for my wife, she receives the BSoD with a "Driver Power State Failure". After Windows ran the restore, we updated all the software and drivers through the Windows Update, thinking this would fix it. A day later, BSoD happens again....I go online to Dell/support.com to update the drivers (again) and BIOS, enter in the service tag to find the necessary updates, and the model and service tag can't be found. While at Dell/support, I try to find help topics for “Dell Inspiron 11-3152”, which doesn’t exist. So I couldn’t find help from Dell and was using forum posts and other websites for troubleshooting/fixes….eventually I came to the realization that I’m spending way too much time trying fixing a brand new laptop. This will be going back to BB, as it’s within the 14 day return policy. One more con is that the mouse pointer would stop working (which was a major problem with Windows 8.1, I couldn’t find a permanent fix for that either). While it did work for my wife, it was a decent laptop. It was exactly what my wife wanted, a laptop, but one she could also sit on the couch and use as a tablet. But I would not recommend this laptop to anyone.

I've owned the previews version of this laptop and this one with its new 14nm cpu and dual channel memory runs circles around the old one. It will play 4k video off of YouTube with no problem and edit photos in Lightroom 6 much better than the older model. The battery life is great and the screen is ips and very accurate from the factory. The hard drive is easy to get to and up-gradable. I will be doing more testing and will update my review soon. For on the go the size, weight, battery life is top notch

I was excited for the size, battery life, and price point. However, when the laptop arrived it was clearly not new, as Windows was already set up and a profile already existed. I thought that was pretty lame, but figured it wasn't worth my time to raise a stink. The real problem arose when it would hang up on the boot sequence. I would just get a black screen, and would need to hard reboot it by holding down the power button. This occurred too frequently to let slide on a "new" machine, so I ordered another. The second one was at least legitimately new, but on the second screen of setting up windows (maybe 20 seconds into using the new computer) I get a "Power drive failure" message and it reboots on its own. A quick search of reviews on bestbuy.com shows this to be a common problem. So now I'm returning it and getting something else. Best Buy, you clearly are selling a faulty product. Knock it off!

This is my 3rd Dell in a month. lol

Okay, the first Dell I purchased wasn't a touchscreen. It was a 15" Inspiron 8GB ram. Within the first 24 hours, the touchpad kept disabling at random #forced to restart#. Then here were the freezes. It was lagging a lot. Within the first week, it was sporadically overheating. After 2 weeks, half of the keyboard went out #left side# and became totally disabled. SO lucky for me, I needed something smaller, with more responsive keys anyway. I realized 15" is just too much laptop for me these days. I was between a Dell, and a Lenovo- both contained solid state hard drives. I chose this one #reluctantly#. The other was out of stock. I thought it had a great appearance. It has a great keyboard, nice screen responsiveness. Quiet. So what made me get another a week later? I'm going to describe my experiences on both laptops. 24 hours: BSOD #Blue Screen of Death#. Touchpad times out. Not forced to restart because the touchscreen still carries on flawlessly. When the touchpad times out, you lose your mouse pointer completely. It's not fun when you're an up-and-coming developer to lose your mouse. My little finger has only a 70% accuracy at putting the cursor where it needs to go on the first time. I love Spotify, so it's not fun when the sound card decides it wants to go out and turn my music into something creepy that will haunt my next dreams. The fan has a poor location. It's angled underneath the far end of the keyboard, aimed right at your knees. If you like to cuddle in bed with laptops like I do, you won't be amused by how hot your blanket gets. But hey, a laptop's gotta breathe right? I just sit it on a binder now. Problem solved. Or is it? That BSOD.... Driver_State_Power_Failure? Kernel Failure? It's a "Best Buy exclusive"... So they cut back on the gHz processor power which they desperately could have used. That probably explains most of my issues with it. I'm torn because I like the laptop, but the issues are just beyond my patience sometimes. Dell has great support and they're good at fixing laptops in a fast, efficient manner, so I expect this thing to go out at around 4 months and I'll let them make it like new. I had a 15" Inspiron 4GB Ram from 2012. Within 4 months, the hard drive completely defected and crapped out on me. It was back home in a week, running like new, and probably would have nearly forever if it weren't for my little bed-wetter.

Just bought this an hour ago and it won't connect to wifi. It says "Windows can't detect networking hardware". Called Geek Squad and the recommendation was "Return it." I am so annoyed because this is my first bad experience with Dell.
