So far so good. I can say it doesn't feel like an expensive laptop, however that was a tradeoff I was willing to make to keep my budget to around $1k. I am trading from an i7 Yoga Pro 2, so the first thing I noticed was the significantly lower resolution. Which wasn't a deal breaker for me, because I use a second monitor for most my work anyway. Battery life seems OK at best, doesn't seem like I will be getting more than a few hours of use, although my definition of use is constant note taking and working inside of large PPT files. So far the performance has been quick, however this is brand new and will change in time. I would highly recommend the i7 with the solid state, its $100 more for this model over the 1TB 5400RPM drive and with the i7 and 8gb ram, that set up seems a little pointless IMO. Pros: Value 5th gen i7 lots of specs for the $$ Cons: feels cheap screen resolution keyboard is just ok

The laptop overall is good, the speed and looks. The booting speed is quick and even the over all performance. However I do get weird sounds of motor running when I use it in tablet mode and gets heated up fast.

It's a nice laptop. It boots up really fast. You can use it as tablet, and having Office is nice. It is bulkier than a regular tablet though. I use my iPad air 2 most of the time as my tablet.

This computer has everything I want, i7, solid state, it is lightweight which I love because I'm always on the road, and it is the most ergonomic laptop I have ever laid my hands on. Usually when I rest my hands on the keyboard, the edge bothers my wrists, but not with this laptop, it is soft and curvy at the edge, I just love its chassis. In fact this has the same features as one of the special editions of Inspiron 13 at the Dell store, but those special editions have a different, non-ergonomic chassis. So I thought this was going to be the perfect laptop for me. Unfortunately, it came with a defective network adapter and I have to return it. No way to connect to wireless networks, and I could not troubleshoot the problem with an ethernet cable because there's nowhere to plug in an ethernet cable on the laptop, I'd need an external connector to plug into the USB port. What a pain! So I'm taking it back but I am planning to replace it with an identical one. Hopefully I'll have better luck next time. I would still recommend this laptop but...it's a risk, like with many new computers I suppose.
