Overall I am happy with this computer. This is a good economical buy for personal use and for school. The touch screen took some getting used to, but I like it. It works like a tablet. The mouse can sometimes be a little too touchy. It stays cool and doesn't run hot like other laptops. I work a lot with it on my lap and it never feels hot. The battery life is good. This is important since I tote it just about everywhere. It's light weight for the size. The speakers are terrible and crackly (for lack of better words). Good thing I bought a warranty. I have to get them checked :-(. I have only had this laptop for 3 weeks. Now I have to make an appointment with the Geek Squad.

I really like the Inspiron. The screen is large, easy to read, but I am not sure how to use some of the features. Definitely a learning curve if you are not familiar with the Windows 8 software. The battery life has been good and the laptop stays charged for a decent amount of time.

Much more user friendly than my hp that cost a lot more and then turned faulty one year after purchase.

Very good screen for not being full HD. I am only hesitant about the AMD A6 processor. Other than that, with 8GB of ram and a 1TB hard drive, can't be beat.

Much better than my old computer but when the computer wants to have its updates, then everything will freeze and won't work til the updates are finished. Other than that, computer is nice.

This Dell notebook has met all my basic requirements. It has plenty of ram, 10TB hardrive and a touch screen for a low price.

This is a fantastic laptop that has 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive. The touch screen is great, and the 8GB of RAM allows me to multitask without the laptop slowing down.

This was bought for my son. He wanted a touch screen & also use it for gaming. He LOVES it!!

Its great, it does what I need it to! Sound could be better and louder.

I bought this to replace an old computer. Got it home, set it up and unfortunately had to leave town for a few days. When I got back, got everything updated (HOURS!) it began crashing for no reason. I attempted to find out what was wrong and couldn't find anything. Best Buy terminates their warranty after 15 DAYS! I was at 16 days. The Geek Squad pointed me to a troubleshooting program on the computer so I ran it. It was supposed to take 30 minutes, but ran for THREE HOURS and told me nothing was wrong. Went to Dell's website, downloaded and ran two more programs which said nothing was wrong except 250+ bad registry entries, which it fixed. I THOUGHT things were okay till today and it CRASHED AGAIN! I have loaded NONE of my own programs so it's NOT ME. THIS IS TOO MUCH WORK FOR A BRAND NEW COMPUTER!!!!!!

Easy set-up and easy to navigate. Not a fan of Windows 8 though....

settings on this unit change without any reason, it locks up and has to be hard powered down to get it to reset.. icons on the desk top will rearrange themselses from day to day without any reson and also the appearance od them change also

Works well for everyday household tasks. I haven't had any problems with it.

Pros: + Solid build, good quality plastic, doesnt collect fingerprints, hinge is very firm. + Touch screen is quite precise. + Fastest CPU and GPU in this price range. + Display is good for a TN panel, colors invert only if viewed from above or below. + Small charger, its nice for travel. + Not too much bloatware, can be easily uninstalled. + Having a DVD writer and webcam is also a cool addition. + 3 USB ports. Cons: - Terrible slow HDD, should be changed if you dont have years to wait after each click. - Clickpad (trackpad) is not that firm. I thinked between this and the $300 HP, and I didnt regret my choice. Best buy around $300.

I feel this is a good laptop so far.I have the 15"screen and just love it.

Everything I wanted and needed. Love the apps and touch.

its starting to run real slow, not sure whats wrong with it
