This computer was purchased for my mother and it works great for her. You will have to purchase Microsoft Office and other software for it, as it is a starter model. It comes with Windows 8.1 and a touch screen, these will take a little to get use to. I prefer Windows 7. Overall it's a Dell and priced right for everyday use.

I was nervious about the jump to windows 8 but the touch screen on this laptop mad getting used to it a breze!

Nice new laptop, an upgrade from windows 7. I like the screen, the keyboard, appreciate the disk drive, and the media slot is conveniently located on the side. A couple of cons: two weeks after I got it I took it back to best buy for what I thought was a malfunctioning touch pad, turned out to be a problem with the hard drive. BB replaced hard drive free of course, but an inconvenience I wasn't expecting. The second thing is the touch pad; it feels cheap, rattles, no distinct left or right button to click on. It works, just feels so ....... cheap.

This great touch screen laptop was so worth the $ 400.00. Compared to the prices of a MAC, its outstanding. If you're looking for a cheap laptop, easy-to-use, on-the-go laptop. This is it!

Good all around laptop. Love the backlit keyboard. Clear screen picture. Perfect for all around general use. It's a good laptop, this is my first Dell laptop and I got to say I'm happy

The laptop was very quick to initialize with no problems. The touchscreen interface is very accurate on touch locations and easy to use. At the low price point Dell and Best Buy set, it is a very high value, would highly recommend it!

Do not like windows 8 however it is better with this touch screen. I tried a touch screen a couple years ago and did not like it. I now love the touch screen and I think it is because everyone has a touch screen cell phone. perfect amount of memory for a student in high school or college.

Got this one actually as on open box item and got a great discount. Does everything it needs to do for a college student. Dont know if i like it more because i got it for a 30% discount for being an open box item.

Great laptop for the price range. Sufficient RAM and drive space for moderate use. Has a DVD drive, which most do not come with anymore. Wish it included a version of MS Office though.

I needed the laptop I purchased that day. They found me one at another store and except for the one hour, fifteen minute drive I got what I needed when I needed it. The staff was very helpful. The only thing that could have helped would be if the pick-up line was clearly marked.

I like it especially the new touch screen technology. for this price , it is very good deal.

I used to be a Toshiba fan as I my last laptop lasted 10 years. I started using the Dell and I am very pleased with the product quality. I got good value for money. One word of caution, 4GB is not enough now a days windows needing a lot of memory,
