Husband bought this for me as a gift. Seems to be a problem with keyboard connectivity. Keyboard sometimes would not work and numeric keypad never would type digits onto screen. Ended up returning product. Not a big fan of combining tablet and computer. I prefer my separate devices

It had glitches in it's system and even though it was linked to the internet it would not recongize it. When I brought it back to the store the manager said "well of course becasue you have it in flight mode". I never put it in flight mode it had done that on it's own after I down loaded several work programs from on line. Then the unit froze in flight mode and neither I nor the manager could get it out of flight mode. What a waste of time and I lost three days of work because of it and not having a functioning computer to work off of.

Terrible Wireless / Dell Support atrocious!!!

Everything in my house connects to wireless w/out issue. My brand new $1,000 17" Dell Inspiron needs to be sitting NEXT TO the wireless modem to work. After 3-months of the wireless working about half the time everywhere but next ti the wireless modem, I called Dell. The tech connected, downloaded a free spyware trial app, ran the scan and declared it a "software problem!" that he could fix AFTER i purchased a Dell software contract for $150. This thing is 3 MONTHS OLD AND NEVER WORKED!. He didn't care. According to him, the trial Spyware program found "87 potential threats", and this bozo said the virus is detecting my laptop moving more the 5' away from the wireless modem "then affecting the network - that's the virus". #I told him to find me a trial spyware app that DIDN'T find "threats"#. An hour and a half and placed on hold 5 times, and he comes up with that. #He also said the network driver is corrupt #although he never tried a new one# BUT, like the virus, the corruption ONLY occurs 10 or more feet away from the wireless modem. I didn't care since I tried a new network driver the day before which did nothing...
Do yourself a favor - if you think you'll EVER need Dell support, look elsewhere. They are not trained to fix anything, they are trained to find ways to sell software support.

The connectivity with this laptop sucks big time. It's horrible...it will connect on the first attempt only 25% of the time. Our wifi is rock solid and we have issues ONLY with this laptop. And if you're using the laptop and the cursor gets ANYWHERE close to the edge, the sidebar menu and time/date on the bottom pops up and you can't use your cursor until you remove them. I totally dislike this laptop and wish I'd taken it back when I had the chance. I kept it thinking I'd get used to it because it was the ONLY 17" laptop Best Buy had. So sorry I kept it.
