This laptop is a great value for the money. It does not try to be a laptop and tablet hybrid. It is a laptop with a touch screen. The screen does not detach, but rather it folds completely over to allow use as a touch screen device. I bought this for school use and I have not been disappointed. Battery life is fine, screen looks good, keyboard is small, but functional.

I purchased this laptop for business use. I tried 4 other laptops prior to this laptop, but some were slow, laggy, bulky, hard to carry. When someone reccomend me this one, first i thought its small for business use, but i have to tell you guys, you will not be able to find any laptop like this. I love this laptop : it is very light weight, SSD, super fast, love the lights on keyboard for night time, touch screen is great..Overall, I love this laptop and i will get one for personal use as well.

I bought a Lenovo returned it, bought an HP returned it slow, low resolution, cheap keyboard. None lived up to my expectations. Purchased this one and I love it. It's superfast and has great color, nice keyboard for heavy typers. Only dissatisfaction was the sale rep. told me it was 3.1 pounds and its actually closer to 3.6-3.7. Otherwise easy set up. Great connection to Wi-Fi

I am loving my new Dell! I wasn't sure about getting a 13" screen with the solid state memory but I am getting used to it! What's really nice is no humming, no heat while I'm using it! I work with lots of windows open at once with no problem. The screen is easily big enough for office work and pleasure. The key board is taking some getting used to because I create documents and it's smaller, so my fingers are adjusting! The touch screen is cool, I go back and forth between mouse and touch screen. The function that makes the screen zoom sometimes activates when my fingers are loitering on the mousepad, annoying but I can dezoom on the screen really easily. I would easily recommend this computer for internet play and work, maybe not for writing a book! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the smaller keyboard, otherwise this is a great laptop!

The size and weight is perfect for people on the go. Pleanty of processor power and memory to run pretty much anything. Solid state hard drive makes it even faster, run a lot cooler, and I don't have to worry about head crashes if jolted. Windows 10 is easy to use compared to Windows 8. Touch screen is nice when software is designed for it. Otherwise the good old mouse and start menu with clicking works like it should.

My sister recommended a 2-in-1 and I agree that it's a good fit for me. Of course, I had the helpful advice from Kevin at the Brook Rd (Richmond/Glen Allen) store who got my info on my needs an recommended this machine. This great fit is why I rely on Kevin! Machine is fast and the touch screen make not using the pad to maneuver so much better. Getting used to the basic parts is a work in progress. Trying to find Control Panel takes a while! Am glad I got this computer. It fits my needs and I'm actually enjoying it.

I use the laptop for work and play. I have created multiple PowerPoints, watched tv shows, emailed, created newsletters, business cards and played on a favorite app. It's fast, has decent battery life, good volume and very nice resolution. The average non-techny should have no problem navigating the interface. The screen size is perfect (and I don't where my glasses). It has a good feel and is easy to hold and maneuver. Tablet mode is effective and convenient. The touch screen is immediately and consistently responsive. With new technology daily, there are probably some feather-weight laptops of similar size, but it's definitely not heavy. I compared laptop weights before purchase because of back and neck concerns. So, this is light enough to carry around comfortably without thought. It does NOT bend back ALL the way in back half for tablet mode. There is a small gap...not a problem, just fyi. There are no adequate hard case covers made for this laptop, but there are some silicone keyboard covers. The battery life has been reduced but not significantly.

I did a lot of researching before I decided to buy a laptop but finally decided to stick with dell. My previous laptop was a Dell laptop and after 3 years of hard labor the hard drive wiped out on me. I purchased this laptop on Black Friday. Though I spent a little more than I intended on it, I am well pleased so far with it's durability, speed, slick design, and lightweight feel. The screen is also the perfect size for homework, writing papers, and even watching Netflix. I love it!!

My daughter needed a new laptop for school so we searched deals. We were leaning towards a MacBook, but for what she needed, this was great! Fast enough 8 gb, small touch screen, i5 processor, and flips 2 in 1, so she can use as tablet. Not a lot of internal space, but she has a sea gate 500 gb for extra room. Great deal as it was on sale and we like dell.

Had a Sony touch-screen computer which was nothing but trouble from the start. I should have returned it, but thought I just needed to get used to it. Two years later, it was worse and worse and finally quit. So I wasn't sure I wanted another touch-screen computer. After talking to the sells person about quite a few computers I picked the Dell Inspiron. This computer is fast, zero problems in the couple months that I have had it. I love it and am extremely happy that I bought this computer. Dell is reliable anyway, we still have my husband's Dell and it's about 8 years old and running great. We've had many different brands through the years to include Sony, Dell, HP and Toshiba. Bought on sale too, even though the sell price was not as great as some other brands were at the time, I went with Dell because of their reputation. Very happy that I did!

I recently purchased the 5th gen with 500GB HD variant less then 30days from this was being released. Long story, short. If you did the same, i highly recommend exchanging it for this one.
With the new 6th gen CPU and 128GB SSD this laptop is really fast! Even though i purchased my own 512GB SSD which is much better then the pre-installed version, it will still be a very fast laptop.
For the price, the hardware, toward the competition, you simply cannot beat this Dell laptop. The weight and thickness might be a bit higher then the others, but in the end price matters, and this laptop delivers!
This variant also fixed the sound issues from the previous model that i found very annoying, so once again, this was a much better purchase then the old model.
Get this one, its very good, fast, and reliable, Dell did a good job this go around.

I got this for my mom for her birthday. It's surprisingly attractive and very well built. Metal and soft touch plastics abound. The backlit keyboard is also very nice and triggers automatically based off of the ambient light sensor.
The screen is gorgeous! Great saturation and sharpness. General operation is also excellent and speedy.
The WiFi gave me some headache. It was working out of the box, but dropped and I was unable to get the laptop on any kind of wifi. What I had to do was download and install the driver off of a USB flash drive from another computer based off of the most recent driver on Dell's website. This fixed the WiFi problem.
Overall, highly recommended as long as you can get that new WiFi driver installed!

I always used a high grade business class laptop until I bought this laptop before Thanksgiving 2015. I was used to smooth operations and no problems. For the price, this is a great laptop. It does hang sometimes. But most of the time, it runs steady and well. It is super easy to use, and was super easy to connect to WiFi and my InstaInk printer. Dell made this laptop incredibly user friendly. Great machine

I like the backlit lights on keyboard and the screen is nice. Speed seems faster than my year old computer I was replacing.
My display driver keeps saying it drops which I am not sure if it is my computer or the router which we are having trouble with.
I like the metal casing - my last computer mostly melted in a hotel fire. Not that the same thing would happen again, but it feels more protected.
The computer does not have a CD drive which I somewhat miss. I like to watch DVDs on my laptop sometimes.

Needs a better trackpad

Overall, this is a solid laptop and perfectly capable of handling day to day activities. The battery life is reasonable, screen looks very crisp and the computer just generally works. My biggest issues with the computer are the power button and the trackpad. The power button is very small and you really have to push down hard on it to get the computer started. This is really annoying and Dell definitely could have thought of a better placement for the button or not made it so small and difficult to push.
I use a Macbook at home as well and the trackpad on the Dell does not get anywhere near the trackpad on my Macbook. The cursor tends to get lost and is not nearly as precise as the Macbook. This probably isn't a problem if you plan on using a mouse, but for those who like to use their laptops while on the couch you may want to look around for a laptop with a more responsive trackpad.

I have only had it for a few days but I am enjoying it. It is very fast and the small features like the back-lit keyboard and tablet mode are absolutely useful! I updated the drivers almost instantly, but the update removed the Maxxaudio software that it came with and instead replaced it with a generic audio driver. Anyway, the speakers still sound good. The system had a graphics crash but I updated to latest driver and the problem has not shown up again. It is essential for the buyer to update everything in order to enjoy a stable and fast system such as the Inspiron 7353! You wont regret if you purchase this system (unless you get a lemon.) It has a beautiful aluminum design around the keyboard and a soft plastic on the outside.

While not the thinnest laptop, this dell 13 7000 special edition isn't thick by any means. It is thin enough to qualify as an ultrabook. It also isn't super heavy but not light enough to use as a tablet for extended periods of time. The computer is quick and can even do some light gaming (Naruto storm 3, Rayman legends) at 720p. The display is gorgeous. The battery life last all day (around 6-7 hours with wifi off doing web searching and typing). It is easy to upgrade the hard drive and ram if youre worried of future proofing and with the newest skylake processors, this computer should run smoothly for years to come. Its also affordable which makes it the best college laptop in my opinion. I got it on sale for $650 on best buy with 128 gb ssd, i5 and 8gb of ram.
