I really like the laptop and it preforms very well. It is fast and can run a few games and lots of apps smoothly. My only concern is the battery life. I am only getting 2-4 hours of battery life before I have to charge it. Occasionally it takes a minute to recognize my face, but other than that it is a great laptop.

I went into bestbuy because dell no longer carries the xps 13 with usb and sd ports. i found this that very night. it may be the perfect computer. it messed up for the first time today. i was working with a peripheral and all of a sudden the screen went white and said file explorer, but wasnt populated with anything. nonetheless, i love it. yes, the other reviews are correct and the battery life is terrible. i am guessing the battery (which you cannot replace yourself) will give out before the computer does.

The laptop wasn't set up so had to go through that process. Not sure if it is completely set up now. Seems to work ok.

I have tended to pick up open box or refurbished computers mostly. This is a good size, reasonable cost and enough ports to be useable, while being nice and light. The battery isn't great, but it is reasonable and would have been pretty good 6 or 8 years ago when batteries were not expected to last all day.

It provides impressive imagery on the 13.3 screen but the heat emission is quite high even when the machine is placed on hard flat surface. The battery life of this machine is quite low between 3 to 4hrs during normal surfing and usage.

Love this new laptop, very satisfied! This is the second one we purchased for our teenage daughters. Our oldest got the same one about a year ago and she was very happy so we purchased this one for our younger daughter.

This computer is everything I needed and wanted plus more. It works great. It turns on quickly and runs extremely fast.

We purchased this for my high school senior, she loves her new laptop. It is very user friendly and great value for the money!

I wanted to love this computer. With the 16GB of RAM and Core i7 processor tis thing is FAST. However, the horrible battery life ruins this computer. And by horrible, I mean 4 hours or less. I ran a battery report through admin command prompt after having fully discharged the battery and it showed an average battery life of around 4 hours. In fact, once the laptop hit 25% battery, it suddenly drained all the way to 0% and the computer shut down (and this was while the computer was in battery saver mode!). I returned the computer because of this, as $1000 is way too much to spend on a computer that won't even last half a day.

At the time I purchased this computer, I was doing a lot of work with graphics, as I was the editor of a newsletter. This computer fit my needs with the amount of RAM and the processing speed. These days, I mostly surf the web and write emails, so I probably don't need that much processing power. But I like the features, the touch screen is great. It had the features I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. I've already recommended this computer to a friend.

Bought this for school. Very fast and flexible. Love the touch screen. Only bad thing is it tends to get warm.

Just bought this laptop for my son who is going off to college. Great price for the specs, but the battery didn't last a full day and he wasn't even using it. Also runs extremely hot. Almost to the point where you can't comfortably hold it on your lap. Looked at all the reviews which also state some of the same problems we had. So, I tried changing the settings suggested by BB tech support but still works the same way. I'll be returning it today for something else. Severely disappointed with Dell!

Caught this when it was on sale and during student deals. Quite an improvement over the older model, which we also own. The power button on the new model is no longer on the side where it is easy to hit in tablet mode and put the computer to sleep. My only complaint is the fan gets quite loud sometimes, but I have read there may be ways to reduce it. Overall a great value for the money in terms of processor, ram, and SSD hard drive.

I bought this laptop for college. I chose it because of it's small size and light weight. I fits easily into my backpack without weighing it down. It has all of the latest bells and whistles that I wanted. I wanted an 8th generation i7 processor with 16 GB of RAM. I also wanted a SSD drive. I got all of these and more in a compact size for way less than the bigger size laptops. It is fast and very quiet. I highly recommend it.
