The laptop design and performance has been great but the battery had to be replaced after only two years. Seems like my Mac Air battery has been going for more like six years of similar use.

Easy to use, sturdy laptop. A little more expensive than some models, but seems to be worth it. No problem setting it up, has excellent features and a family member without a lot of computer experience is happily using it every day.

We tested several 2-in-1 tablet computers and found the Insignia model to be the best alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Pro tablet 2-in-1 for about 1/4 the price. Only has 32GB of storage, but has a SD card slot if you need more space.

I'm a graphic designer and I switched from Mac to PC because of the difference in price points and Apple's stagnant technological advances. I purchased this Dell 2-n-1 touchscreen and it's PERFECT, I love it. It works hard for me and looks great, plus it's light and fast. If you're in the market for a powerful PC that gets the job done, this is it!

When it works it's the best I've ever had. I gave it 4 stars because when it turns into a brick when the HardDrive commits suicide after a software update then that's not so fun.

Glad we purchased this labtop. I haven't used all the features yet but i like what it does for me so far. The only downfall is that the battery life is not up to 12 hours as advertised. It only lasts up to 4-5 hours.

There is an inherent problem with Dell computers. Specifically the Dell Inspiron hinges. I just did a lot of research and many, many others have had the exact thing happen that I did. Just like all of the other customers, my computer made a slight clicking sound when opened and like the other customers, I didn't think too much about it. Suddenly the whole side popped out at the hinge--just like all of the other customers detail here: https://www.dell.com/.../Dell-Inspiron-15.../td-p/4783141
AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO GET IT FIXED reasonably because it cracks the chassis when the hinge blows out. A computer should last beyond 3 years being taken care of (which mine was--I handled it more carefully than I did my kids when they were babies.) This is just a bad product and design.
Dell knows this is a design problem and put out a well-hidden policy called the "Dell Laptop Hinge Policy Updated 5-3-2018". Yes! Just updated. Updated this month after customer after customer had a problem year-after-year. My hinge popped out right about the time that Dell put out their updated policy for this design flaw.
https://www.dell.com/.../Dell-Laptop-Hinge.../m-p/5077521
And this was Dell's response: "...Hinges are mechanical devices and are bound to fail at some point in time. Since we are an in-warranty support team, our support is limited on this issue."
Dear Dell,
Some point in time does not include flawed design or construction. This is the case with these hinges--and Dell knows it thus their Updated 5-3-18 policy on these hinges.
My advice to anyone considering purchasing a Dell computer is don't do it. This hinge is an example of the very poor workmanship and design that Dell is putting out and putting out year-after-year. Doing the research on this issue, I found that I am not an isolated case and this has been brought to Dell's attention for several years, but they continue to ignore it and sell these computers that fail.
One of the flaws is that the screws are not held in place with an adequate amount of "glue". This allows the screws to dislodge and come out making the other hinge bear more weight and ultimately failing. I found a screw on my desk. Started looking for where it came from. It was my Dell laptop. It kept coming out. I checked the screws on the hinges and lo-and-behold it did not have enough of that "glue" as the screw was only partially colored.
Do not risk having this happen to you as so many others did. DO NOT BUY A DELL. laptop. Save your money and spend it on something more reliable. It is not just one model. It appears to be all Dell Inspiron laptops.

I love my new laptop. I have only one issue ,it does not have number keypad and no disk drive.. I had to buy one separately ,but that is not a biggie. It has great storage and windows ink is awesome. No issues what so ever .I do all my college work which is a ton .I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The Dell Inspiron laptop with touch screen and 1 TB hard drive works well and seems to be sturdy. I was concerned about the lack of an internal CD/DVD but have been able to work around it.

Its taking me a little time to get used to this model, it was on sale as an open box deal, so I thought I would chance it. The speed is great, the scrolling pad is very sensitive and I close or move things without meaning to, just the slightest touch, but for our needs so far so good.

Bought this as a replacement for my company laptop that is going away. I like it so far. Good display, seems pretty quick, solid build. My first 2 in 1 and have used the touch screen more than I expected. Speakers are fine, although volume adjustment not as precise as I expected.

I love this laptop. This is my first touch screen laptop and I am glad I made this selection. It gives me the option to just touch the screen if I don't want to use a mouse or the scroll feature. It also has the feature to allow it to be a tablet which is excellent!
