The old is faster. Its has 8GB memory vs the new one 16GB. The old one has a I3 processor vs the new one I7. The old one has all my graphic software programs vs the new one which has half. Maybe this new laptop is a lemon.

1. Close all open windows.
2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
3. Click Control Panel.
4. Click System and Security.
5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.

However, the speakers have blown out in only a few weeks- I can only listen with headphones. Prior to that I would have given 5 stars. Too bad.

I had seen them as adequate, but not something that was ever put on my list of brands that I would made sure I looked at when buying a new computer. This laptop, however, makes a strong statement that I should start considering Dell again. Out of the box, this computer feels solid. VERY solid. I have had a 2-in-1 convertible laptop before, and within months it started having issues with the display that was related to a failure in the hinges that made the computer all but unusable. This experience led me to stay away from convertible computers, but I have confidence that this computer will not have any issues like that due to its quality construction. After opening the computer and turning it on, you can really admire the aesthetics and beautiful screen that this computer has. This computer, despite being as sturdy as it is, is very thin. This is great for portability, and also looks really good. The display is amazing clear and vibrant with color, making sure that this good looking laptop also looks amazing when its actually being used too. On to performance. This laptop performs. Plain and simple. The processor is fast and smooth. There is enough ram to make sure that you are productive, and anything, other than gaming, will be handled well by this computer. I have put it through a flogging, running both practical and simulated test with this computer and it had performed very well, blowing my expectations out of the water. With that being said, I did not have high expectations for this computer when it came to gaming, Although there is a component that handles advanced graphics for this computer, it is not up to par to handle moderate or serious gaming. But that is not what this computer is made to do. Now some things that you should know if you are considering this computer. First, this computer does not have an ethernet port or disc drive. Also, this computer is not easily upgradable. There are no bays to add ram or another ssd like a few other laptops I have been able to get my hands on. And again, this computer will be great for students, great for office professionals, and great for anyone wanting to lounge around and surf the internet. What this computer will not be great for is gaming, but that is not the intended market for this computer. If this computer had the port for internet and easily expandable memory and storage, this would be a 5 star review all day long. But minus a couple small inconveniences, this computer is fantastic.
