After my HP laptop decided to run it's own course... the search was on for a new computer. Did some research on line and decided it was time for a change. I've had HP for a while and longevity seemed to be a problem, so hopefully Dell is the solution. My primary use is for photography... needing speed, clarity, and using multi-programs simultaneously so far it's been a good choice plus the photo editor program that comes with this product is very good. My choice for awarding only 4 stars is kind of bias (being a HP user), navigation is a little difficult...

I did not get wrong on buying my desktop. Excellent!!!! I'm very happy with my new toy!

First of all, when I opened the computer the hard drive was out of place. Some other issues are that the internet sometimes disconnects , also the computer restarts with no warning. Overall the computer itself was great and not bad for its price. Finaly, I gave this 2 stars because of the issues.

We are having so many audio problems with this computer, hubby is ready to take it back if possible. But, cosmetically - that red bar of light is not only ugly but having just been through a fire, I can't look at it without thinking something is burning. Would love to disable it if possible.

The is great computer with more than ample storage and memory. Its compact box allows it to fit in the smallest of space. The speed is incredible. I am very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this model to a friend.

I had to return another computer one hour after purchase, and then decided to go with this one. This one was initially my first choice but thought the speed would be a factor. However, my second thought of a purchase had to be returned due to failure out of the box, so replaced it with my "original thought to buy". Was a great idea. This computer is pretty much loaded and the speed is more than adquate.

I had to unexpectedly buy a new computer when my 2 year old HP's motherboard decided to stop working. I was so upset. I had purchased that HP to replace my old Dell that still works, but was just slow and a little outdated. When we searched at the store, I gravitated towards this Dell. I had a great experience with my last one so I was comfortable with it already. This computer was the only thing comparable or better than the PC that I was replacing that was still reasonably priced. I am a photographer and graphic designer and this desktop has been great for that. It is fast and easy to use. I was disappointed that it does not have a built in CF card reader but those are getting really hard to find. I have not done a huge batch edit of pictures yet(my real test for a computer) but so far I am VERY HAPPY with this PC.

I bought this computer for my home office to run Microsoft Office, Quicken Turbo Tax etc. I did not buy this with the intent of playing games (although that is not out of the realm of possibility). So far it has worked flawlessly and I have to add that I like Windows 10 much better than Windows 8. If you're looking for a productivity computer - this is a great buy.

This machine fit exactly what I need. Speed, OS, drive size, and memory mixed with the price made it an ideal purchase.

Dell - Inspiron Desktop - AMD FX-Series review: this has got its good points and bad points. it is quiet running. seriously quiet. i thought at first i had not pushed the button fully and it hadn't booted until i turned the monitor on and saw it was indeed, booted up. any house noise masks the sound completely. at least, so far! it is still new. i've only had it a couple of weeks or so. it is not as fast as you might think from seeing it has 3.2 GHz. it just plugs along, nothing flashy. however, on the plus side, it multi-tasks like crazy and i've had 14 tabs on the internet open AND 3 microsoft word docs open AND a wordpad doc open AND an excel sheet open AND solitare open all at the same time and it still went at the same speed. it didn't slow down, or get sluggish. so the speed you get is the speed you get. it doesn't bog down with heavy multi-tasking. (a huge plus for me as heavy multi-tasking was number one priority for me). the design is sleek and stylish, and therein lies some problems (for me). you can't tell where buttons are! and some things aren't buttons at all. i actually had to call best buy and ask where the button was for the silly dvd player, and get my flashlight out to see it. on the shiny black surface of the front edge of the computer, you push, and a small area depresses because that is the "button" - tho of course, once you know where it is, that's all you need. i don't like the usb port placements. they're behind a well-camoflauged flip down panel that doesn't stay flipped down, you must get your fingers in there so your hand continues to hold it open. plus, i need a flashlight to see back far enough to aim where i'm plugging in the usb stick. the ports are back about 2 or 2 1/2 inches into this totally black cavern, and i found it hard to see in and difficult to get the darn thing at the right angle to get it in. it is set so far back that once you see where you're going to aim and put your hand up there to insert the usb stick, you can no longer see and have to hope you got it right. the smallest usb stick i have got (one of those that are about a half inch or so long), i couldn't get in at all. my fingers were too big, the depth was too far, the visibility wasn't adequate, or some combination of those factors. i finally went to the back of the tower and used one of those ports which are right there and no cavern to cope with. with this computer, i won't be buying those really small usb sticks anymore. of course, if you depend on the cloud for storage instead of a usb stick, this won't be a problem for you. so there are the good points and the bad points as i found them. for my needs, this is a good buy.

When shopping around for a new computer, the things I looked for most were quality, speed, and storage. This computer was everything I wanted and more! Also, I got it for a much better price than I had planned to pay. I've always bought HP but this time around I went with the Dell. I'm so glad I did! This is one awesome computer!

I got this for my son since he has been complaining that his laptop was slow (and it was) so I got him this one that has 16GB of ram. Fast! It just died a week after we bought it, but Best Buy gave us a new one no questions asked. I got it on sale for $579.00. Good deal for what you get.

Great Computer! My son wanted a computer for gaming, but it has just about everything under the hood as an affordable gaming computer does and he loves it! No more lagging or freezing up. I was a little afraid of Windows 10. I'm still using an older computer with Windows 7 and that's what I'm more familiar with, but surprisingly Windows 10 is pretty user friendly and easy to learn! Very pleased with my purchase!

Easy set up. Great running computer. Lots of space and speed for any project I will need it for a while.

I was looking for a desktop with good specs and a good price. I got an open-box item for 25 percent off and it was already marked down, so.... it was really good for me. Sixteen gigs of memory and a 2 TB hard drive means that I have enough storage and RAM to do all I need to do. I also got a discount on Microsoft Office and this is a great plus for me. I was a bit apprehensive about the AMD processor instead of a Pentium, but the sales associate assured me that the chip in this PC was a "gaming" chip and comparable to the Pentium i5. So far in the few days I have had the machine I am very pleased. I am comfortable with the Windows 10 OS too. Still checking things out, especially the new Edge browser, but I feel like I got a great deal overall and a computer that will do everything I need and carry me into the future for quite a while.

Unfortunately the first tower I purchased was defective - it had something lose in the case. However, Best Buy immediately replaced it. The second tower is performing well and the compact size is a space saver. 2T hardrive is great, especially as it is not partitioned. A great bonus was the built in wireless! Also, even though it does not say so on the box, the computer comes with a small keyboard and mouse. Tower has a cool red light at the base - if you like that sort of thing.

This computer was bought to replace an old computer for my office that has a ton a data (1 terabite) on it that was bogging down the old computer;therefore, I purchased this Dell and have loaded everything onto and its still just as fast as it was with no data on it.

Computer is fast and easy to use. Whisper quiet. Barely know that it is on

So far it has worked flawlessly. I've used the CD burner as well with perfect results. I was worried about set up, but even THAT went very smoothly.
