Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I am really enjoying this computer. I don’t do any gaming so I am not affected by any lack of power. I came from using an all-in-one, which was nice for the touchscreen but as a desk top I really didn’t use the touchscreen that often. This is also nice because there is room for expanding.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Picture is awesome! I have it on energy saving mode and that's a great picture! I can't imagine how even greater it would be with all the options on but I need to save $ so I don't want to be tempted. The price was even lower at Best Buy than at Sam's Club. Great purchase. Very happy.

A Workhorse!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to give this machine a good 2-week workout before I gave my review and here it is. The Dell Inspiron 3670 with the Intel I7-8700 CPU with 12 GB of RAM, 1 TB HD, and n NVIDIA GT 1030 video card. I have an Asus gaming computer and so I didn't want to compare apples and oranges. This computer to me is more suitable for business use. I have a home based business and this machine really does do it right. I have multiple screens with different applications going on all at the same time. It works great and I have been impressed with its abilities as a business machine. The price is below $1,000 for an I-7 workhorse. I have 2 monitors both with HDMI inputs with this machine and the video card is just awesome. Can run multiple apps all while going wireless and the wireless is great. Never has any hiccups or stalling apps. That's why I-7 processors are so great. I highly recommend this for business use and she can handle anything you can throw at her. I give it 5 stars for business use and 4.5 for gaming.

Solid desktop, but software issues w/ Win 10 Home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this desktop for about a month now and been hesitant/waiting to write this review until my software issues have been resolved, but Win 10 Home updates are still giving me issues with various driver conflicts and sound issues. Hardware wise, this desktop checks all the right boxes, and for the price, is a good value. It has a solid, if boring case, decent RAM (12GB), decent storage (1TB HDD, but a SSD would be nice), decent 2GB discrete graphics (good enough for video, not really great for gaming), and forgettable accessories (really Dell, why even bother with including a throw-away keyboard and mouse?) The one hardware complaint I have is why they only have wireless-n Wifi instead of wireless-ac? This is 2018! At least there's gigabit ethernet. Win 10 Home doesn't really make sense for this machine, given the specs and what I intend is the target business/home-office customer. Just go head and pay the extra $$ to move up to Win 10 Pro. Also, I've had nothing but weirdness with the Win 10 Home license and updates to version 1803. All of the usual Dell unnecessary crapware is included too. Just do yourself a favor and upgrade to Pro and start with a clean install on a formatted drive.

Lots of power and potential!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I’d like to share my background. I’ve worked in IT for years, preparing PC’s for employees, testing, and choosing ones I think are efficient enough for the productivity required. I am also a speed enthusiast and love building my own PC’s, however this one seemed to be a good fit for a shared family PC with different needs. The Dell Inspiron Desktop (i7 model) came packed with power, more than most standard users will need, but I like that. 6 Core processor with 12 cores hyper-threaded and 12 GB of RAM. This was surprising to find to say the least as in my previous experience finding a PC with a punch like this at a retail store can be slim, props to Best Buy for stocking a PC of this caliber. The PC is very lightweight, especially for such powerful components, this was nice moving around. Mouse and keyboard were standard, was impressed the mouse was able to work on glass as many optical mouses (or is it mice?) have trouble. Well aside from looking good on paper, how does it actually perform? The initial load up seemed good and going through the Windows Setup was standard. Was able to connect to wifi (AC Band) network to quickly stream downloads and updates right. I’m very particular about lag when it comes to my PCs, so my goal was to push this PC with some multi-tasking to see how it could handle it. First I updated Windows. The computer crashed during the initial update process. I didn’t see the need to blame the PC for this as Windows can be a culprit most of the time. I also noticed a very clean desktop, only the Recycling Bin on was on there. That is nice not to have my new PC crowded with a bunch of software I won’t use, however I did uninstall McAfee and Dropbox seemed to pop-up trying to get me to sign up. My first 2 installs were Microsoft Office and Steam/Counter Strike (Video Game) to see how the PC could handle it. I ran both installs simultaneously and it seemed slightly sluggish while downloading and trying to move around. Counter Strike is not a graphic intense game by default, so I wanted to see how the GT 1030 video card could handle it. After having to reboot the computer due to stalled installs, they both installed smoothly. Took a little longer than I expected, along with some other multitasking I was performing, but this could be a bottleneck by the Hard Drive. I’m accustomed to SSD (Sold State Drives) and every PC or laptop I use, I install them for the performance increase. I’m going to assume this is the reason for the lag I’ve experienced. The game ran fine with default graphics, so thats impressive. Microsoft Office ran fairly smooth through opening several programs from the suite. The video card has two ports, HDMI and DVI. The downside to this is that the two monitors I hooked up both support 2560x1440, but DVI only supports up to 1920x1080, so my second monitor was shorted on the resolution. Dell includes a Support Assist Software, as they do with most of their PC’s. This is very convenient especially for someone who isn’t tech savvy. It’s a one-stop shop for driver updates, hardware scanning, file clean-up, tuning, and optimization. It also has a section for troubleshooting and support and lists the warranty end date. Conclusion: Overall this PC is impressive with its specs and size, but does seem a little slower than I’d expect for the hardware. Again, I’d initially look at the hard drive as the culprit and would definitely recommend installing an SSD drive as a replacement as they are much faster and pretty cheap these days to really maximize the power of this PC. You get a decent video card which is big for teens wanting to play games like Fortnite without having to spend the extra bucks on an expensive video card. There are 2 convenient USB 3.0 ports, Card Reader, and Headphone Jack located in the front of the PC for ease of access. Recommendations: Upgrade to SSD to get the most out of it, you can use the 1tb included drive as a second hard drive for additional storage. If used for gaming, get new mouse and keyboard. The mouse and keyboard that come with it are decent and have a good feel, but not ideal as some of the responsiveness didn’t seem fast enough for gaming needs.

Amazing what 5 years can do
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been five years since I've had a new desktop and it was showing. Dell has been good to me so I decided to stick with it. For the price, it is amazing all that I can do with so little effort. Space is more than adequate for my daily routine; author.

I have always had good luck with Dell Computers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this new computer because my Windows 7 OS will be obsolete early next year. I chose Dell again because my old Dell computer is almost 8 years old and still working fine. I am very pleased with this purchase so far-I just have to adjust to Windows 10.

Great for the home office
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Appears to have solved all of the issues that were a problem on the machine it replaced. Discovered, after unpacking, that it has built in support for 3 monitors, providing you can use VGA, DVI and HDMI. All three are currently connected and working well.

Fast, balanced...but
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast and nicely balanced with i7-8700 and 12gb mem, but 2 hardware concerns were the hdd placement screwed directly onto the chassis base, and only 1 fan possible on the mobo (the cpu fan, no other connectors). I installed a sata ssd (or M.2 possible) to replace the 1tb hdd. Otherwise very nice pc!

Great System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a fast computer for work. I'm not a gamer, but I rather do a lot of database stuff and my old i5 machine was not keeping up with the processing demand. This i7 system has enough processing power and then some.

Good computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good computer. I think with what it has boot up should be faster. It was pretty slow at setup honestly, took me like over 3hrs to get it booted up. Wasn't connecting to my router properly. Eventually got there and running smooth now
