Great system, especially when I converted it into a dual boot system by adding Linux.

So far my daughter has been able to navigate the PC very well. She is excited about having her own and not having to share.

Right out of the box this unit is sleek and appealing, as well as lightweight enough I had no trouble lifting it and moving it around. Setup was quick and easy, made even easier by connecting it to established accounts, such as Microsoft and Google. The computer is very fast to begin with and this was the fastest and easiest set up of any computer I've worked with to date, whether for my own use, for work, or setting up someone else's system. The 12 GB of RAM is great, beyond the needs of the casual computer user, but more dedicated users will find this a significant benefit, especially when coming from a CPU with less memory and a slower processor. It took no time to acknowledge the peripheral devices, which I had already connected before starting the computer for the first time. It comes with a corded mouse and keyboard, and the one recommendation I might consider is switching to wireless devices. I would really like to see how it connects with them, as well as to WiFi, which I have not tried yet. I already had an ethernet cable, and just hooked it up to that, so it had the internet connection immediately, and no setup was required for that. I'm not a big fan of Windows 10, but am adjusting to this. I'd rather have Windows 7, but that's not likely to come preinstalled on any new device. Dell products have proven reliable in my experience, and this computer is no different in that regard. I have no complaints with this unit at all, would very much recommend this device for home or business use.

A solid computer for everyday use. The fact that it was on sale made it even better.

I have work on many brand name computers for years and Dell is a Top Choice to make.

For a new user, it took me a little bit of use for me to be able to operate it efficiently. Not the computers fault.

Desktop starts up fast and great for what I need!!

For reference purposes, this desktop was paired with a Dell 27" S2719DM monitor. Pros: The desktop comes equipped with 12GB of DDR4 RAM, a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, and 1TB hard drive loaded with Windows 10 Home. I have used this desktop exclusively for home office use and find it to be very productive. While working I also stream live news video applications and find no issues in video clipping or flickering. Cons: This desktop is configured to mainly support business application and less intense gaming applications. So if you are into fast paced gaming applications you should consider a different desktop. In summary, this desktop is great for business applications and not so much for intense graphic gaming applications.

The Dell Inspiron Desktop is a good mid-tower machine with plenty of memory and a decent hard drive. Speed of boot is good and internet access/download/processing speeds are more than functional. Streaming audio and video is very nice with this setup. Initial setup was simple and 'pain free.' Hooked this up to the Dell - 27" HDR IPS LED QHD Monitor, which I will review shortly, and was very pleasantly surprised. Only two minor disappointments/wishes (for the desktop package, NOT including the monitor)...1) Make the hard drive SSD and 2) Ship with wireless keyboard/mouse combo. With those two changes, I would rate this machine at 5 stars (100% satisfaction)
