My five month old Onkyo was so buggy and finally stopped working, so rather than live without an AVR for a couple of weeks, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Denon. After a quick connection to the SAME system, I immediately noticed a drastic improvement in sound quality. The bass was especially more pronounced. I am patiently awaiting the DTS:X firmware, but Atmos soundtracks sound fantastic. This receiver is simply wonderful.

As a person with a PhD in Biophysics from Harvard, I am very critical of technology. For the money, I believe that the Denon - AVR-X1200W is the best receiver on the market. At 1200 watt output, it has far more power than even the more expensive receivers, The TV screen set-up is easy to follow and one gets great results in terms of adjusting the speakers in one's surround sound system. I highly recommend this receiver!

I love this thing. This was my first time to buy a surround sound and the sales person recommend this receiver. After doing my homework I went with this one and I have no regrets.

Bought the receiver during Black Friday; and it's been impressive. I no longer have to plug in an iPod or laptop in to get my playlist...plus I can use Pandora. Pretty good setup and configuration. A really good buy.

I am enjoying this one. A major upgrade to my old system and I still haven't played with all the bells and whistles yet. Well worth the money and future proof in every way.

Plenty of input options and a ton of nice features. Replaced an older Yamaha receiver that had finally gave all it had. So far, about two weeks of use, I am very pleased.

I am very pleased with this receiver. After doing all the research, this one came out on top. It has excellent sound and surround capabilities. I highly recommend it.

I bought this to complete a 7.2 surround sound setup, using a mixture of Polk audio speakers and a Klipsch sub, and at first I had an issue with it where it wouldnt play sound after shutting it off with the power supply "auto off" system (turn tv off, all components that would only be on when TV is on goes off). I struggled with it, by every time turning the TV on I did a power off/on on the unit to get sound. This went on for a month. I FINALLY called Denon, they had it fixed over the phone in 10 minutes. Lesson learned: just call when you have issues. Great product and great customer support.

I updated an older Yamaha receiver with this one. This was much easier to set up than my old receiver. This was a deal I couldn't pass up at $100 off on sale.

Sound quality is good, enhances all my other components. I am by no means a tech person but I was able to set this up myself by reading the instructions. Took me a few hours but I got it done.

The last time I purchased a receiver was when I was in the military back in 1986. The technology and power in this this receiver is mind blowing. Blu tooth capability means no more hassling with multiple wires. HDMI hook-ups for everything is fantastic along with no more pinching speaker wires either. Connect with either banana clips or Blu tooth. Such a great price too!

We purchased this after our last Denon receiver stopped working properly and we're thrilled at how easy it was to hook up and how well it works!

Quality system. Paired with definitive technology pro 600 speakers. On screen graphics viewed on tv seem very cheaply done. Other than a big upgrade from old Sony surround system

Out of the box the soundwas weak but the moment you EQ the system with Audyssey XT it's a game changer. Clean sound and tight bass!!!

This is a great receiver for the price. Plenty of power for each channel, ability to have a second separate zone for outside/another room for music while watching a movie or other music on the main zone. Note that this receiver must wire speakers of 6 - 8 ohms only. I have taken one star off as I am waiting for an update for pandora to be fixed to be played directly through this receiver.

Nice receiver and excellent sound Little pricy but worth it. I have not looked at other brand but I am happy with the performance

It has given me exactly what I was looking for I have 12 speakers in my house and I get a beautifull sound on each one.

I bought this to replace a Sony receiver as I had bought a new 4K Ultra TV and 4K Ultra Blu-ray and wanted the best receiver to handle both. It has great sound and easy to operate. Remote is big with easy to read buttons which I like. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great receiver.

and it has performed very well. After running speaker wiring in the walls and putting banana plugs on the ends it was easy to insert them into the jacks on the rear of the receiver.. The receiver in tandem with an Epson LCD projector and a fixed screen works very well in the theater.
