Good reciever for watching movies and listening to music

Exceeds the expectations. Easy to set up. Lots of features

Great device for the price, love the wireless capability.

First off - I love the receiver. The quality, the sound, and the functionality (two zones, multiple inputs, etc are the best I've heard in a long time! I run this receiver for my main TV surround sound and my pool and patio deck. Being able to manage the settings and all options and functionality from my iphone was the real reason i upgraded from my Yamaha receiver. and I love it! However, I would rate the toll free support line from Denon as worthless. I had a situation where my iOS app (to manage the settings) was continuously crashing when I tried to open it. Silly me for thinking it was an iOS issue (recently upgraded to 9.3.1) so I called Denon support to report the problem. 1st - the agent had no idea what i was talking about, then he moved to the position that this was a "known problem" and that I'd have to wait until "Apple solves the problem" (which is nonsense since app development and updates are the responsibility of the app developer - NOT Apple) Given my utter frustration with that answer and no lifeline of any help from the manufacturer - I took things into my own hand. So, using my very technical background (not really) I tried unplugging and re-plugging in the Denon receiver itself. 2 minutes later I had a fully function iOS app and receiver - no issues at all! Gee, thanks Denon for your :"outstanding customer service" - poor! Despite the problems, with manufacturer support, I still love the receiver and am very pleased with the purchase. This would be a 5 star review if not for the abhorrent service I received from Denon.

Big fan of Denon so this did not disappoint. Love Atmos.

It's a nice receiver but exchanged it for the avrx3200w

I purchased this unit for our local high school baseball audio system. It has generated that stadium sound we had hoped for. I'd highly recommend this unit

Upgraded from my 5.1 system. Did not believe the difference would be as significant as it was. Pleased with this purchase.

This A/V receiver replaced my old McIntosh. Didn't think for the price I would get the same quality, but I was wrong.

I love it! It works quite well and dependable. Unlike some of their cheaper receivers, like the AVRS700W, this one doesn't have issues like HDMI handshaking and fuses blowing out. It has many incredible features. For some reason, though, Best Buy put this warranty and purchase credit under my mother's account (she's also a member), so it's quite frustrating that she's receiving these emails from Best Buy about my product.

It sounds great and was an easy install. It fits perfectly and works well with my remote.

The sound is great through my Bose surround system.

This is a typical Denon receiver with intense setup options. Audyssis setup does not seem to work well in a small 10x15 room with cabinets, aquarium, computer desk, couch and entertainment center. So I idd a manual setup. Once setup it worked well but I found the need to tweak the center volume on each movie. Also seems that it asked for an update every 4 months. After the last update it would not turn on! Somehow it feels like the update killed it! At this point in its life the repair would cost more than buying a used one which I did. The one I got was one up on this one. I also have a Pioneer Elite which I think is easier to setup and does not need tweaking on each movie watched.

I got the receiver along with the Definitive Technology Pro Cinema 600 for a less than $1k. The set up on the receiver was very easy. The best part of the set up is when you plug in the receiver, it helps you to plug in your devices. I used the microphone which is included in the box to calibrate the receiver and speakers to maximize the sound in the room. I used to own an Onkyo N609 receiver which is much heavier than the Denon. I really like the Bluetooth capabilities on the Denon. I can use my tablet, I-pod and android phone to listen to my music. I surfed "YouTube" with my android phone and was able listen to the music. It would be totally awesome if the image or video would show on the TV also but it did not. Perhaps, there is a way to do so. The Pro Cinema 600 speakers and subwoofer sound great too!. I hooked up the six speakers, subwoofer and an additional subwoofer (Pro Cinema 800) and two Sony speakers that I had on my entertainment system making it a true 7.2 surround sound.
