Receiver fine, app garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned Denon for a long time, so I was comfortable going back. I was excited about the network access and the ability to control it with my Android phone. The receiver works just fine and I'm happy with how it sounds. But the Android app is an absolute joke! It doesn't work at all even half the time, and when it does, it is very buggy. Controls don't show up, navigation is unpredictable, it crashes frequently. It's disappointing because of there's one thing people know to do these days is write good apps. But this one is like some 8th grader wrote it, and didn't bother even testing it. I can't say enough bad about it. I'd return the whole system if I could but it's been several months now so I guess I can forget that. And to top it all off, the receiver can no longer connect to Pandora. Junk.

Some features don't work

In DHCP table only some items allow the name shown to be changed by user to identify items in the table. 2. In network map the same is true. Some items can be changed and on others any changes are ignored. Asus says to return router to store-so that's what I'll be doing.

Disapointing Power--Failure in three months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Denon - AVR-X1200W in October 2015. Complete failure by January 2016. I sent the amp to the warranty center at my expense: $36. I was anticipating the amp to put out more sound when it returned, surmising that the amp had a short that contributed to its demise. Upon return, after five minutes out the box, the unit cut off again at volume level of 65%. I have not tripped the amp since as I have not had the volume past 58%. There is a you tube video on how to reset the Denon when it trips: Good to know, but I wish it was not necessary. All features work well. The signal is distortion free. The 1,200 watts amp performs like 50 watt amp. All in all if it fails again I will not bother sending it back for warrenty work. I will take my losses and buy another amp.

Randomly restarts when using "Online Music"

Unfortunately it's 3 days beyond the holiday return window now and I just discovered that the unit will spontaneously restart while using the "Online Music" input. Also, it's sometimes necessary to power cycle it to get audio from HDMI sources.
