I bought this unit to replace an older Denon AVR. The older unit was a HD unit but could not do 4k pass-thru. I started looking at Denon AVR's and this one came on sale so it was a no brainer when comparing it to the competition. Good power output to all channels, 4k passthru, arc, wireless, bluetooth, and smart home enabled. The sound coming from it is spectacular and can do ATMOS and IMAX. It really livened up my surround sound! The old unit was so quiet on the surround that it was more like background noise and kind of disappointing; not with this unit! Movies and music alike sound much clearer and with better range.

The price can't be beat for the features you get. I'm running 5.4.2 Atmos and it works great. The Audessey set up microphone makes set up a breeze and the receive recognizes all my hdmi inputs. My favorite part eArc. My Oled tv puts out dolby atmos through eArc and the receiver automatically switches to TV eArc when it senses me issuing the smart tv apps. My last receiver was a Denon and I think I'll be a fan for life.

Upgraded from a previous Denon receiver that was 15 yrs old! Needed a 4k receiver and decided to stay with Denon. This receiver has delivered! This is a great all around receiver. Setup was easy for the entertainment room with speaker configuration and the power has what I need for movies, gaming and music. It is reasonably priced and the Magnolia rep was great with helping me decide which receiver I needed.

Sounds great and the ability to do 7.2.4 (w/ an external amp) is nice. Don't care for the remote and the LCD display is lacking, but that's nitpicking. Just wait for when it goes on sale.

I replaced a lower, older model Denon with the receiver. Set up was easy until I got to tailoring the acoustics. It wouldn't find my speakers when doing the setup. I ignored that and finished the setup. I use a Harmony remote and have had no issues with the remote programming. Sound and picture have been very good. Recently nothing would output to the TV. After switching it around some I had no work around. It is currently in the shop awaiting repairs.

I bought this receiver to replace an older non 4K model. The older receiver, still in excellent condition was not a good match for my 4K television.
Set up of the receiver is simple using the supplied Audyssey microphone, it does take some time but worth it.
The Denon and Heos app both work well, it is nice being able to make system adjustments right from my cellphone.

I exchanged my pioneer elite model for this one, as Geek Squad indicated the Pioneer had issues with eARC and ARC, and recommended a Denon or Yamaha Aventage.
I truly enjoy this unit. The sound never cuts out like with the Pioneer. The sound is balanced and crisp all throughout. Plus it has HDCP 2.3, all the bells and whistles, ALLM and VRR.

This is an upgrade from my 20 year old Sony STRDA2100 receiver. It is amazing the advance electronics in the Denon. Easy to setup and everything works. I am using Martin Logan speakers on the front and center and Klipsch on rear and surround. I have DirecTV and a 4K Samsung blu-ray player. Also, it the volume works with my DirecTV remote.

Excellent unit, I'm replacing an HK 125 watt per channel unit and this 105 watt per channel unit pushes the towers and sub even harder than the HK. I'm using this to run a home theater system That's set up as a 7.1 atmos. Everything is clear and I couldn't be happier with the purchase

I have been extremely happy with this receiver. I have had about 5 different receivers in the past year trying to find the one I like. Everything from Yamaha, to pioneer, Sony, and Denon. This is About as future proof for me As it gets With the ability to assign channels and expand how many channels it can process with an added external amp. Trust me you won't regret this purchase.

I had been doing research on a new receiver for months. Kept coming back to this. Was hoping it'd come down 10-20% but then our old denon (20 years old!) bit the dust and needed to order. VERY happy we did - worth every cent. Our speakers FINALLY sound like they're supposed to. Amazing machine.

I upgraded from a denon avr-x3200 which was still working very well. I have the speakers and the room for a 7.2.2 setup though so wanted the extra maps on the 3600. Also, my TV offered eARC which the 3600 supports. So far everything is working great and I am very happy with this purchase.

This is an excellent upgrade from a 10yr old av receiver. I can hear sounds that I was not hearing on my old unit when watching movies. Set-up is a breeze. Really enjoy the app and it even controls my bluray player.
