I wanted to like it but the power was underwhelming. I set it up as a 7.2.2 Paired with All Definitive technology Bp-9080X Fronts, CS-9080 Center and BP7006 for the surrounds and SR-9080 as the rear. I had a STR-770 from sony that had 140w per channel. The sony outworked the Denon by a mile but the denon sounded better. I since have returned the denon and went back to the sony. Was thinking about getting the Denon AVRX-6500H but with HDMI 2.1 around the corner, I'll think I'll wait instead of dishing out 1800.00 for old tech within the next 2 years.

phenomenal sound beyond expectations. Previously a pioneer elite owner and was immediately taken away by the difference.

I recently replaced my older 7:1 receiver with this new Denon unit and really found that it was easy to setup and calibrate the surround sound and the results are wonderful.

This thing rocks! This is the brains of my home theater and pairs nicely with my Klipsch speakers! If you want Dolby Atmos done right you can't go wrong with this avr!

So far I love my Denon Home Theater. Easy hook up and the remote is very friendly.

This is my second Denon desk and I will never use anything else. It works great, no snags. I love the features and their placement.

ARC is buggy, after update maybe it might fix the switching that occur sometimes when going to another device

I've been a HEOS user and fan for years, and moved into a house with numerous rooms having built in speakers. Luckily I found this unit which handles both surround sound for the TV on Zone 1 and the rest of the house with Zone 2. I already had a Niles unit to send the signal to the various rooms, and a pre-amp which I am not sure I even need. The setup assistant was easy to follow and worked the first time. The only reason for the 4 is that I bought this as Open Box with supposedly all necessary components, and several accessories were missing (Bluetooth/Wifi antenna, etc.)

I upgraded my previous Denon amp to include more modern connectivity features and 4K capability. A really nice clear sounding amp for the money.

I replaced an Onkyo RZ620 with this guy. There is no comparison. I'm running a 5.2.2 set up, with my towers bi amped. I like that I can hook up a power amplifier down the road. My SVS subs came alive with this receiver. HEOS works flawlessly. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this! This is my first Denon and won't be my last.
