This is a great movie for the parents who have to painfully endure many of the "kids" movies that are produced today. This is actually a film that the parents of kids will enjoy equally, if not more than their children. There are many grown-up inuendos that will go over the heads of the kids, while making the movie much more parent-bearable. The multi-format selection of this movie also makes it very convenient to make it mobile in today's media selections of mobile devices.

While Dreamworks productions may not be instant classics as many Disney movies 'attempt' to be - titles like Despicable Me and How to Train Your Dragon are changing that in my mind. The writing for this movie, and it's execution are fun for both children and parents - and heck even adults who want a funny movie. This copy is pretty complete with all the normal extras, DVD, and digital copy. I'm pretty happy that I have this now in my ultraviolet collection.

Despicable Me......this isn't just a kid's movie. The plot ,acting and over all movie has something for all ages. If you keep an open mind you can learn that when you least expect something or someone it can happen. Gru found that with 3 little girls. They changed what he saw, how he was and what he stood for.... Which was himself and being the best villain he could be. Yet he found he's a good guy inside and out. All I can say is watch it and you will enjoy it.

DESPICABLE ME is a beautifully animated and entertaining movie, just as long as the lovable villain Gru stays in the front and center. Having Minions about for comedy relief outside the main story arc is great, but even the trailer for MINIONS failed to be appealing unless you can't get enough bathroom humor. With two sequels and one spin-off, you can see why this movie would come recommended.

We got this movie in response to being gifted Despicable Me 2 first; Must. Watch. Movies. In. Order! Hilarious, even for adults, and everyone loves minions, even when they're only supporting characters. There are some scenes that caused my son to be concerned with the violence, even cartoonish, but overall it's a good movie. He has not added it to his favorites list yet, but it's one worth repeating.

A family friendly entertainer that thoroughly captures beautifully all the innocence, vulnerability and wonder of childhood with complete conviction. Steve Carell adds much to the character of Gru, who is loopy and droll. Catch it if you are looking to have a good time.

This is a great movie. It is funny, and it suitable for all ages. I really like the transformation of Gru, the main character, over the course of the movie. Very good character development. I also love how, during the part where Gru is trying to get into the other guy's base, the sheer amount of destruction and weapons reminds me of some of the old Looney Tunes cartoons. Highly recommend.

After watching the first one with my son, he asked if they was a second one. And until the second came out, I had to tell him not at this time. But when the second one came out and he watched it and started to sing along with the music, he wanted to watch the first one again and a second viewing of the second one as well. It is fun watching his reactions to things, makes me feel good.

My Kiddo like the minions a lot so owning a copy of despicable me was always on the cards. I was planning to get my son to watch the Minions movie and right at that time I saw the offer for Minion movie cash from Best Buy. So the DVD was priced at 4.99 and I got movie cash worh 7.50 so a win win situation for me :) . I got the DVD and also movie case to get my tickets.

I was hesitant to see this movie after it came out in the theaters, but after watching it whenever I did see it, I loved the animating & humor it had while mixing it with other crazy moments that were thrown in. Simply a fun & crazy animated movie that I LOL at everytime I watch it, and I got it for less than $5. Despicable Awesome Fun! Yes! I love it.

I think the story is great, the animation stupendous and it's just the right amount of quirky. With the little bit of violence there is in it, I wouldn't recommend it for any younger than 6. The little bit of adult humor make watching it myself pretty enjoyable and for as goofy as it is in the first place, I still managed to laugh out loud to myself. A few times!

Love Dispicable Me and the minions. Purchased as Christmas gift for my 3 yr old son. DVD, Blu-ray plus digital copy all in one is a great buy, especially for a Black Friday sale. He uses the DVD in the car, we keep the Blu-ray for the house and can put the digital copy on our phone or computer for planes or while out and about.

You might think this was a Pixar Disney movie. No it was not but it could have been because it was clear and well scripted. This guy was all cloak and dagger until he was forced to use three young girls for his next caper. Of course he got to close to the girls and they helped to change his perception of life. Well worth watching.

Hilarious, touching AND Minions?!? Our whole family loved this movie from teens to adults. My only complaint is that after watching movie, no real Minions were available for me purchase. My kids would not dress up in overalls & yellow and indulge my every whim, which was very disappointing. But Movie was amazing!

We got this for our 2 boys, a 3 & 6 year old, and they loved it. So much so that we had to go back to Best Buy the very next day and get Despicable Me 2. Seriously. Great family entertainment, and with the UltraViolet Digital Code, we can watch it anywhere on any device, which if you have little kids, is REALLY nice!! ~PopCulter

Despicable Me blu-ray for only $6.99? YES! I don't think I'll ever get tired of this movie. It's very funny & the Minions steal the show. It was great to see the change in Gru throughout the movie. The girls grow on him and he realizes that they are what he has been missing in life to make him happy. Loved it!

After watching Despicable Me 2 in movie theater I had to watch Despicable Me to find out how Gru, Minions and girls all came about. So I decided to purchase Despicable Me on DVD and so glad I did! It is hilarious! It is a funny family movie. It had us all laughing!! Great story line and very heartwarming. Would watch it again for sure!

This movie was a good sequel to despicable me. He sound track music was great and storyline good. My children as well as me enjoyed it very much. Steve carrel is very funny. Our favorite characters were the minions. Especially the song "happy" by pharrell Williams. Overall we rate this movie an 11 on a scale of one to ten.

After seeing this in the cinema with my granddaughter, we could not wait for it to come out on DVD. Now we pluck it out and usually watch it back to back with Despicable Me 2. Both were a great price at Christmas time. Too good a price to use as a stocking stuffer and who could wait to watch them anyway?

I only say great price 'cause I got it on sale. However, this blu-ray is loaded with features. The three short films are a joy to watch. Features include commentary from the director AND the minions? HA! There are a lot of features on this disc which makes a great value for you dollar.
