I had Destiny for my Xbox 360. When I decided to upgrade to the Xbox One, I thought I might as well get the Legendary Edition so I could have all the new content as well and it was worth the money compared to buying vanilla Destiny for a similar price. Countless hours of fun, decent solo mission experience, and great multiplayer combat, whether it's cooperative or pvp.

This is a good expansion for the original Destiny. Since it also includes the original, it is perfect for a beginner since you don't have to buy the game twice like me ($60 when it was first release, $60 for The Taken King). That is my only complaint. I willing paid $120 for this game. Now I'm sad and go play my $120 game to cheer me up. PEW PEW PEW

Destiny is a great game with a hours and hours of replayability. With the Taken King edition, all current DLC content are available to play, which makes this purchase much more worthwhile. Gameplay is like any typical FPS shooter with a leveling system that is also typical of an RPG game. Boost to level 25 is a plus. Overall would recommend this game.

Graphics are really good. Feels more like watching a movie. Good story line too.

If you love First Person Shooters and especially enjoyed Borderlands, you will love this game. Its basically a persistent online mmo version of borderlands. You get a ton of content for the price which is awesome. I wish the voice chat was a bit better, it feels clunky at times with random disconnects but overall the game is great.

I enjoyed the story and quest missions early on and have loved the end game suff nonstop. The game keeps changing and gives you more to do so it keeps you constantly interested. You constantly want better armor and guns and have to work tirelessly to get them but it's so worth it when you do! Nonstop and never ending fun!

I've played all the Halo games by Bungie so I had high expectations going in. This game met all of them and then some. The only negative I can think of is Activision's influence is apparent and it does make me a little sad. Hopefully they'll give Bungie some more space and let them do what they do best, make great games.

This is great first person shooter with MMO elements. I both love and hate the online. I think it's awesome to be able to meet with other players in the open world, but I just do not like they if there is not internet there is no game. However, I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for something new to try.

Previously I had Destiny for Xbox 360, and even though they are promising a way to play on Xbox One, I went ahead and purchased it for the One platform. Plus it included all the add-on campaigns that I previously paid for. So it was a good deal for me, who didn't want to wait for the cross platform compatibility.

Destiny's latest expansion, The Taken King, and the year two updated, 2.0, has turned Destiny into a game with tons of potential but failed execution into a game that is one of my favorites of the year. Long after you finish the main story you will still be coming back for more. Great game, worth the money, especially if you have never played Destiny prior.

But this version The Taken King, establishes what Bungie Studios should have originally came out with in respects of content. This game is now a bit more complete than it was before. This game has NO STORY. You can try all you want to go online and figure out at Bungie's website who and what everyones motives are, but at the end of the day this game is all about farming points till level 40, and getting better gear thats constantly recycled. You will have the same gun and armor about 30 times until you reach level 40 where you start to actually play the games featured content. Until you reach Level 40, the game is literally grinding out how quickly you can finish missions. I do not recommend this game at this time, I cannot justify paying 60$ for a temporary online only game.

Brought this game for the grandchildren and they love it. During the week they come over the house they have to complete there homework 1st then they get to play. It is a great motivator to complete their school work. They are A students.

I havnt eve started any of the raid of DLC content yet on this but the game plays as smoothly as you could ask, and the ability to jump in and out of play groups is smooth as butter. I love that combat scales to a players level. Playing with high level players does not give anyone an edge in campaign.

I was hesitant with buying this game, but they made some great improvements from it's original release. Ended up trading in the original Destiny game so I could get this one with all the additional content. Worth it! Try price matching, especially since it's been out for awhile now. Happy hunting!

Destiny has greatly improved this time around with this add on to the Destiny universe. Very impressed with the gameplay feel, the range of depth and animations they put in. Despite going through the past upsets, they definitely reclaimed some respect points and credibility on this one. Good job.

I played the demo version of this game for a year on the 360. I was iffy on whether or not to buy, but ultimately decided to pick it up. The game itself is fun, but after a few runs through it you can see the flaws in the storytelling and presentation. There is a LOT that got cut or reworked prior to release. It's not the same game as when Bungie announced it a few years ago. Still a good game, but it could have been so, sooo much better. It's smart to wait on buying anything put out for Destiny. This game was $60, which includes all the stuff previously released. There's no way to buy just The Taken King part of the game: you have to buy it all. So those that bought the vanilla game at launch last year, and then bought each of the expansions as they came out, were forced to re-buy content they already paid for. Bungie/Activision gave no excuse or compensation for this. All in all it's worth buying, but only now. The vanilla game was not worth $60 last year, and both expansions were already done and one the disc: you just had to pay to unlock them. So in the future, wait until anthology editions or bundles are released, like this version, then buy.

The Taken King Legendary edition is a great deal for anyone who hasn't started Destiny yet. All of the year one content is included, and the new Taken King story line is very fun to play. Considering it's around $140 worth of expansions (including the base game) it's a fantastic offer.

Destiny succeeds in many ways but falls short in others leaving you with a product that is clearly a labor of love on the part of Bungie, but riddled with issues and evidence of greed. This edition of the game is the best one to get and jump in with. Destiny is still a good game, despite failing to deliver the promises it made.

My husband had bought the first Destiny and played it for months. He got rid of the game after he felt that he had done everything he could do with it. He then saw this expansion come out and once again purchased the game. He has been playing it now for awhile and seems to enjoy it.
