I wanted to like this game being a huge fan of the series but I just couldn't. It actually made me very angry playing this game. Now, I am very sad Square Enix can't even provide us an ending to this waste (which btw doesn't exist in the main game) that was supposed to be released as future dlc. SE have canned this and probably have canned the series as a whole because of the mistakes they made with this game. Well what is wrong you may ask? Well the game is a bit of matrix nerd cheese mixed in with extremely too much going on with far too many choices and the most convoluted and confusing story line ever! Save yourself $20 and don't get this. The End.

It's really good, but there is a catch

The Good: Deus Ex Mankind Divided is a very good game that has excellent storytelling and characters. The gameplay is relatively smooth, except for the occasional drop in framerates when running around the multiple locations. I feel the levels are well designed and give the player a multitude of options when completing objectives. I found myself constantly exploring and more often than not being rewarded for that curiosity. The Catch: The story ends very abruptly. It feels as if the story was intentionally left open to later be addressed in DLCs. My advice to game companies would be to release complete stories in the core game and introduce "NEW" stories in DLC. I hate being left on the hook with plot-lines on TV Shows and movies and I hate it even more in $60 video games.

Long loading times, average story, great gameplay.

Like I mentioned, this game is fantastic when it comes to player agency and an immersive world. The same can't quite be said about its story or slight technical problems. Long loading times and very occasional slowdown happen between world hub transitions and in some areas. The story is somewhat blunt and in-your-face in an unflattering way. It also feels somewhat lackluster toward the end, when looking at the bigger picture. However, when it comes to gameplay, immersion, exploration, and world building, the game is fantastic and still definitely worth it if you are tolerant of its issues.

I never had the chance to play any of these games because I did not own a PS3. However, I own a PS4 & I watched some of the gameplay for this game. I am amazed by the content, character development, story & action shown. This is one of the many games that I am looking forward to this year.

This game was one that I had heard many good things about so I decided to give it a try. One thing that I am not a fan of is first person shooter games. This game is a pseudo-hybrid as it has elements of first-person and also third-person views. I mention this because I might have stayed away if I knew it was going to be first-person shooter-ish. That being said, the game is very good. The graphics are good, the game play is challenging and there are a variety of ways to complete many of the missions. The power ups for weapons are pretty decent too. The game reminds me of a cross between Metal Gear and Bioshock. The negatives are few but must be mentioned. The voice acting is ok for the most part but the lead character is very bland and since he has so much to say it can get annoying listening to him speak. I also noticed some issues with the sound track cutting out during some scenes with dialog. Also the sound track was pretty uninteresting so don't look for anything special here. Many have said the story wasn't as good as the previous game was. I think the story is good as far as stories go for video games. There are branching paths as well so your experience may vary from someone else. Since I haven't played the last game I can't offer a comparison but I can say that this story has some meat to it. All in all this is a great game with some replay value as you may want to try playing through a different way for a different outcome. I think the game will take roughly 15-20 hours to complete depending on you level of experience with these types of games.

I have enjoyed the Deus Ex games since the first PC version years ago. This game feels more balanced than its predecessor. Enemies do not feel like bullet sponges. The story is well done though the ending leaves something to be desired. The graphics on the PS4 version are great and I am looking forward to see what the PS4 Pro can do with it. Overall great game. It does lose a star for me for an abrupt ending.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a nice RPG stealth shooter. The story, game play, and graphics are more than worth the $10-$15 sale price.

I was very excited for this game to come out after playing the first one in the series, Human Revolution, a few years back on PS3. This one did not disappoint with the feeling of being able to go through the game however I felt like it (stealth, action, dialogue) in order to complete each part of the game. My only real complaint is that the story of the game. It felt rushed with many holes that I do not feel are answered as you complete the game. The side missions are great, and are very in depth for being so few of them. Also the only real boss fight you can encounter is the final piece of the game, and when it gets to that high, the game ends, which was a bummer, but the ride there was amazing,

Eidos Interactive has created a worthy successor to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The gameplay is polished, there are good side missions, and the main story (while short) is well-written. New augs, good stealth, and overall a delight to play. The new Breach mode is fun to play, if somewhat dependent on microtransactions. However, and this is huge, the publisher Square Enix decided that a single-player game needed microtransactions. You can pay for Praxis Kits (which are already plentiful) and credits (even more so) with real money. Compounding this insult is the fact that any microtransactions or pre-order bonuses (except guns) are one-time-only use. You can use them in one save file and never again. The game itself is a 4.5. I reduced my rating to 3 because this new form of microtransaction cannot be rewarded.

    Fantastic Addition to the Series

This game could have easily achieved better ratings if the ending did not feel so rushed. In fact, the story was only fairly decent. However, the side quest missions were fantastic. The lack of boss battles also felt very puzzling to me. Although I did enjoy the final battle, minus the rush to credits. Another aspect that I could not stand is the fact that this game (especially in the final chapters) requires a lot of backtracking. I won't spoil the ending chapters, but backtracking during this segment becomes very stressful and seems like a poor design choice. That is not to say that I did not thoroughly enjoy this game. The AI is pretty smart on higher difficulties, the abilities are awesome, the stealth mechanics are better than most other stealth action games, and the graphics are fantastic. Despite some of the issues this game has, do not skip on this game.

Following in the footsteps of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divided continues the story of Adam Jensen navigating a politically divided world of Augs and Naturals, all the while trying to find out what the Illuminati is planning and uncovering secrets about his past, specifically in the time after the incident at Panchaea. A great stealth/fps with an interesting story and beautiful visuals, definitely pick this one up if you are a fan of the series or of these types of games in general. The one drawback, in my opinion, was that the main questline was shorter than I'd hoped. Also, I wish there were more locales to explore. Nevertheless, I still really enjoyed this game.

Good story, characters, atmosphere, immersion, locales, etc. Looks great, plays very good. Awesome music, sound and voice acting. With all of that said, a few problems. First, you can miss side quests which is unacceptable to me. Second, you have to choose which way to go in one mission which eliminates the other path which I also hate. Third, the abrupt ending is just out of nowhere and feels like the second half of the game was deleted so it can be saved for the eventual sequel in two years. Gameplay is very good and if you can get past a few of the problems, it's an enjoyable game.

This was a great game but it was short for an action rpg. Graphics, sound, gameplay were all 5 stars. Controls are 4 star. Story was 3 stars due to the game being short and it seems the developer is going to make game’s story episodic.

I played the previous deus ex and this don't disappoint. There's a great story line, interactive conversations, lots to do, and areas to explore (which is good for credits/upgrades), plus the graphics are pretty impressive.

This game has it all, stealth, action, great story with good character development. Geo-political themes and lots of exploration of future technology. This and Metal Gear Solid have a lot in common.

Deus Ex : Mankind Divided for PS4 a Hit

Deus Ex : Mankind Divided is the latest installment in the Deus Ex franshcise. We are introduced to the latest exploits of our favorite Aug, Adam Jensen. The story telling is rich, the graphics are superb, and with the 'New Game+' feature, replay value is excellent. My only gripe is that this game seems much shorter than Deus Ex : Human Revolution. I would have preferred a much longer story line. Otherwise, its worth every penny.
