Read reviews online for this game and was not disappointed. I haven't played any digimon games before, but was nostalgic to the series as a kid. This game has so much to offer for a $48 dollar game (thanks to Gamers Club Unlocked) and I could see myself putting in at least 100 hours.

The original Digimon World (ps1) might be my most played game. This game feels like a good remake with much more to offer. They keep the core basics with how to raise your Digimon and to obtain more Digimon to increase the city size. But they have added so many more Digimon this time around. Anyone who is a Digimon fan, this is a must have.

It has been almost 10 years since we had a world game in the states and this one does not disappoint. It has the feel of the original from PS1 with a bit of a twist. The story takes some time to get into and it's a steep learning curve but all in all it's a solid game.

A very good game to tug on your nostalgia strings if you played the original or enjoyed the show. There are quite a few familiar faces that you will see along the way. The only downside is that all your hard work in getting the mega you want will be wasted in early-game, since they will die of old age after 3 or so days.

Essentially if you liked Digimon World 1 from waaay back when on the Playstation 1 you'll love this game. However newcomers may be intimidating by the complexities to the game as well as the length of the RPG. Essentially this game is a tamagatchi JRPG, requires alot of time and patience.

A Fun, But Often Slow Reboot

Digimon World 1 was a unique and fun game for Digimon fans to adventure through a world of their favorite characters and rebuild a city with the help of a trained partner. The reboot perfectly captures the feeling of the first, improving on many of its flaws (bathroom locations, training times, combat), but still requires quite a bit of repetition when one of your partners dies. The game is still quite a lot of fun, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who is looking for constant action.

This game's real weird. Even on easy, it can be frustratingly difficult, it doesn't really give you that much information, and to get anywhere you pretty much need a guide. That having been said, it can be incredibly engaging when everything's going well, and there isn't really anything else like it available, so I guess you take what you can get. If you have any nostalgia for the original Digimon World on PS1, I'd recommend this game. Everyone else might wanna wait for a sale, though.

This game is similar to Digimon World 1. if you like that game, you'll like this one as well. The battle system is not as good as Cyber sleuth to me.

Overall the game is great if you like digimon. It can be repetitive for leveling and such but it still is a game you can put lots of hours into. It's also nice if you pick up the Vita version because then you can continue on the go!

Had fun playing it just don't expect it to be anything like cyber sleuths. Definitely felt like the first digimon world. Took awhile to get used to not training both partners the exact same way but it works out in the end.
