Initially I bought just a type A micro to type C adapter but it kept falling off or sticking inside when I unplugged the device which was a pain. With this the adapter always stays tethered and can't be lost or walked away with in the device. It's a minor but nice convenience.

Decent value for the money

I wanted the tethered USB-C adapter because I know people with Samsung S9 phones that need USB-C, but nobody has used these cables for that yet. Good choice if you need to connect both Micro USB and USB-C devices, otherwise kind of pointless.
