A back up battery for a point and shoot camera is a necessity. This battery fulfills the need.

My camera battery has a great capacity already so I bought this as a backup. I never worry about not having enough battery life left. Charges easily and relatively quickly as well.

Holds a charge well and is quick to recharge. I also purchased a stand-alone charger and additional battery, as I don't wish to get caught without a charge and have to wait to recharge in-camera.

this battery has a long life usage. it is small and be misplaced in a large purse so you need to use it with a container that you can locate it easily in.

This extra battery was part of a package deal for an in store promotion for camera purchase (Canon SX50). It really provides peace of mind to have an extra battery when going out to shoot photos or video. I'm probably going to get another to have 2 extra batteries on hand.

The battery does the job on lifetime when using the camera, but still does not compare to the original that comes with the camera. If you need to have a spared one as emergency, that works pretty fine.

I have two of these batteries for my camera and they work very well. By using a car charger, I always had a fully charged battery available even when I was taking 600 plus photos per day on a recent vacation. They last almost exactly for the 330 photos for which they are rated unless I did a lot of previewing of the photos I'd taken. Then they did not last as long. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a decent backup battery for my Cannon camera. I took it on vacation, taking photos on and off all day each day from around 8am until sunset and beyond. The battery would last a little more than two days per charge. I'm not sure if that's good, but I knew just one battery would not do the trick for my vacation. I take way too many photos, and I constantly review them on the camera screen.

After a long charge it lasts a long time even in colder weather. I recommend keeping it covered when not in use.

We had a long awaited vacation planned, and I was taking my canon sx50 along as a back up to my DSLR. I tend to be the "be prepared" type, and even though the sx50 was going to be a backup, I didn't want to go out without a backup battery. Good thing I did, we put the sx50 through it's paces and was glad to have the backup battery available.

Purchased this battery as a backup to Canon battery for trip to China. So no difference in battery life during extensive use.
