In order for me to have enough camera life, I would probably need 3-4 of these batteries for most of my trips in order for them to last long enough for my needs. In my opinion, the additional battery life falls well short of where it should. This, however, is not the fault of Best Buy and it is the manufacturers who need to step up to the plate.

itsnice to have n extra battery but it doesnt hold a charge as long as the one that came with the cam. should get a better one in the bundle than this

I purchased this battery at the recommendation of a Best Buy sales associate. It was to be used as a backup battery to the Canon battery that came with my Canon camera. I had been very clear that I would be traveling to South Africa and would need to charge this battery. I initially charged this battery in the U.S. prior to departure and it functioned on first use. However when I tried to charge it in South Africa it would not charge. Almost immediately the charger would shut down. The Canon Battery that came with my new Canon camera charged both in the U.S. and South Africa without any problems. Big disappointment as on numerous days we were away from our lodging for many hours without the ability to recharge - thus making a backup battery critical. I thought I had my bases covered - not the case. I regret that my second battery was not a Canon Brand.

Bought this as a backup - seems OK - you may be able to beat the price elsewhere

if you need a backup battery it will do when your in a fix but don't expect it to last long

I never go anywhere without having at least one back up battery for my gear. This battery seems to perform at the same level as the Canon battery that came with the camera. No complaints and a good price.

This battery was part of a bundle (SD card , battery and case). If you own a camera you should carry a spare battery

I paid $40 for something I could have purchased online for $19. I bought it to supplement my 5-year old original Canon battery on a vacation trip. I used the Canon batter the first 3 days and it was at 1/2 power so I put this one in (which was fully charged the previous week from brand new) and it lasted 1/2 day. Going for a refund today.
