If you’re a person who likes to be on camera and likes to look good and be heard clearly this device is for you. What you get with this, an adjustable light with rechargeable battery, adjustable tripod, microphone, wireless shutter remote and the USB charging cable. Doing video calls using your mobile with this thing is a breeze. The phone holder was able to accommodate my Note 20 plus fairly easily. The tripod legs can be expanded into 5 different positions to adjust the height and they are also reinforced with metal so they will not break easily. Your mobile device will be about 9 inches tall from the flat surface. The ball mount will do miracles with your device, you can pretty much position it to any vertical or horizontal position. The light is where this thing shines. With the light on, the clarity of your image is very noticeable. Brightness can be adjusted from 3100K to 5500K and 25 different color temperatures. The light is also rechargeable and will last approx 16hr according to the manufacturer. After I fully charged the battery it displayed 9hrs @ 5500k and 1% brightness. The brighter the light the more power it will consume. At the highest setting the battery will last about 1hr. All that information is easily available on the easy to read LCD screen that’s on the battery pack behind the light. Moving on to the microphone. When we do any video calls or recording it is very important to be heard as clearly as possible. The microphone included in this package does exactly that, it is not perfect but it does the job very well. One of the things we notice about recording sound with mobile phones is that we sound like we're in a tin can, and the mobile mic picks up almost every background noise from your surroundings. The microphone included does a very good job masking those sounds and actually focusing on the primary voice, and the cable is very long too so you can move around easily. You also get a camera shutter that connects to the phone via Bluetooth. There are two buttons one for IOS the other for Android. They both actually worked on my android but did the same exact function. You will have to place an imaging app either to record or to take pictures, the remote will act as a start/stop or camera shutter. It is very easy to use and to pair with your mobile device. Overall this product is very useful and beneficial for those who's on camera all the time. It is easy to use and is travel friendly and it doesn't take much space and is very light and its functionality is outstanding.

For those looking to take their video conferencing, Zoom call game to a better quality, this is a solid option. It is excellent for basic conferencing as it comes with a tripod, phone mount, lavalier mic, and the prime feature, the versatile light. First, the overall pros and cons: PROS - Light is very bright - Solid tripod; has phone clip and threaded mount included - Audio adapter is also included - Light is adjustable, has controls for both color temp and brightness, plus is rechargeable CONS - tripod clamp mouth barely fit my Galaxy Note 10+; can't imagine anything larger fitting - Remote shutter is not user friendly; took quite a bit of trial and error to get all the settings right - For newer usb-c phones with no audio jack, you absolutely need both an audio to USBC adapter,, as well as Bluetooth ear buds to hear the person you're chatting with. - Audio quality of Mic is not good -- there's almost no noise cancelling effect at all The main thing I am taking away from this is the sturdy tripod and the versatile light. It even comes with a slide one diffuser (which I found extremely necessary as the light is so bright, even on the lowest setting). A noise cancelling lav is paramount for video streaming though, so for that I would say pass on this one. However for everyday video conferencing or recording, this would be a solid 4 out of 5.

FANTASTIC LIGHT KIT FOR PHONE CAMERA WEBCAM ZOOM

DIGIPOWER - THE INSTRUCTOR - 8.5" TRIPOD PROFESSIONAL VIDEO KIT -WORK, TEACH & LEARN FROM HOME - BLACK MODEL:DP-VLX100 Best Buy Tech Insider Network FANTASTIC LIGHT KIT FOR PHONE CAMERA WEBCAM ZOOM VLOG The star of this show is the DIGIPOWER light unit. First, you can adjust the temperature between 3100 and 5500 Kelvin (yellow to pure white). Next, you can adjust the brightness output from barely there to “land a plane” levels of brightness. Finally, all these settings are easily changed from the built in display on the back. I’ve used several budget similar lights and none can hold a candle to the DIGIPOWER (pun intended) The additional accessories (tripod, remote control, lapel mic) included in the DIGIPOWER - THE INSTRUCTOR are the icing on the proverbial cake. PRO’s - Amazing Light - Included Tripod can be used with a phone or camera - Long Cord on MIC - Remote Control SETUP and USAGE Everything in the DIGIPOWER - THE INSTRUCTOR was well packaged and seems to be of reasonable quality. It was easy to test and setup everything without the instructions. To pair the remote to your phone, just go into settings and add it like any other device (it shows as a keyboard on my android). You do have to stretch the phone bracket pretty hard to fit in a medium or larger phone, but it is very secure. I was easily able to use the tripod, light, and mic to record some short videos and even take still pictures. I enjoy the longer cord to allow me to stand up while recording. The mic does a good job overall. The clip on the lapel mic does not quickly spring back into shape, so it keeps falling off my collar unless I wait a few seconds before letting go. I assume it will correct itself over time. The light takes a little force to attach to the stand, and is very secure. RECCOMENDATION The DIGIPOWER light is fantastic (did I mention that), THE INSTRUCTOR accessories are good for every day video use. The tripod is a versatile desktop unit. The phone/camera mounts is simple and sturdy. I can recommend DIGIPOWER - THE INSTRUCTOR for person vloggers, creating instructional videos, and anyone who just wants some better lighting for videos, photos, and web conferences. I will be using the kit for my daily calls at work where I can never get the lighting just right.

Great Kit for Shooting Professional Looking Videos

The Digipower Instructor, Video call kit, is a cool piece of tech for anyone that wants to add a professional feel to their videos. The Kit included a tripod, Bluetooth remote, wired 9 1/2 Ft. microphone, and a rechargeable studio light. All the components are well built and are made of premium feeling materials. The tripod is very sturdy and has two 1/4 inch threaded screws for securing your camera and the studio light.in my use it easily held my Pixel phone, iPhone and GoPro. The microphone also works great. I tested it 2 feet away from me and then at 6 feet while clipped onto my shirt. In both circumstances it made my voice sound a million times better than the built-in mic on my phone. However, it did pick up a lot of ambient noise, so make sure you are in a quiet room when using it The Bluetooth shutter button was a handy tool for starting and stopping video. It easily paired with my phone but unfortunately, did not work with my Gopro. As for the studio light, it is the best part of this kit. It has a 1500 mAh battery that lasts anywhere between one to nine hours, the color temperature is adjustable and even in its lowest setting it is still very bright. Overall this is an excellent kit and I recommend it to anyone that wants to create more professional looking videos.

Adds the right color and brightness to my video projects and meetings. Adjusting the color of the LED lamp only requires a push of a button, from 3100 Kelvin (warm) to 5500 Kelvin (almost sunlight). So too, is the brightness of 112 LEDs. Can be used with or without the snap on diffuser. The tripod is a sturdy accessory for mounting the lamp and your camera or cellphone. Also included is a hi grade lapel microphone. Too often we watch video chats with poor lighting and strange shadows. The adjustable tripod puts the light where you need it and keeps it there for 16 hours thanks the the rechargeable built in batter.

Great, Fast Improvement to Video Conferences

After this last school year being a hybrid of face-to-face and virtual, I knew I was going to need to level up my virtual setup. I didn’t really want something bulky as I wanted to keep it portable to take it back and forth between my classroom and home. This little guy fills that need perfectly. Essentially you are getting a very sturdy and well built tripod, with a cell phone holder, a customizable light, remote, and wired mic. I have been using this on my iPhone so haven’t used the microphone, but the built-in iPhone mics have done a great job so far. The tripod is very steady and has some great mobility to get the right angle. It also allows a short extension to make the tripod a little taller. The cellphone holder was wide enough to hold my iPhone 12 Pro Max without a case. The area that grips your phone also has some foam pads to keep you from damaging your phone. Above your cradled phone you have a slot to attack the light. The light includes some great customization, including being able to dial in the brightness and how cool or warm you want to white light to be. There is a small screen on the light that allows you to customize the light, give you battery status, and gives you an estimate of how long the battery should last. The kit also includes a remote that you can pair through Bluetooth. This works well, but I have yet to really find a need for it. I have normally used my Apple Watch, and its remote camera feature to frame shots and take them remotely. All in all, this is a nice kit to make some significant improvement to your online meetings. The tripod holds everything steady and at a great angle, and the light is great. With the light’s customization you can really dial in how you want to be lit to look your best online.

Excellent portable tripod/light for video rec/call

In my post-retirement life, I have taken a position as an online instructor for a graduate leadership studies program; as such, I often find myself needing to either a) make video calls for real-time student/instructor interaction, or b) record/produce personalized videos for inclusion in my online classroom. During my audition of the Digipower Instructor Video Kit, I found this setup to provide that extra bit of professional polish for either activity, and all from a pretty complete, compact, and user-friendly package. The tripod is a reasonably standard 3-legged affair offering a mix of metal and plastic components that clocks in at just under 8.3 ounces. While the weight is not burdensome, it's heavier than it looks and should easily stand up to a mild battle with the elements without blowing over. At minimal extension, the distance between feet is about 8"; when fully extended, the feet are roughly 10" apart from each of the other corners of the equilateral triangle that the legs form--so take that real estate commitment into account if you're working at a cramped desktop. The slide-out legs are not infinitely adjustable but instead offer 5 extension lengths that click into place; the slide release buttons are thoughtfully on the INSIDE of each leg making it unlikely that you'll accidentally collapse one of the legs while moving/reorienting the tripod--nice! The slide-out clamp securely held my iPhone 12 in place...with a much wider 6S Plus, the fit was still secure, but the MUCH tighter resistance on the mechanism meant I was at very the end of the clamp's extension--I cannot think of any modern cell phone on the market today that would be short enough to mount vertically between the jaws of the tripod clamp. About the only niggle I had with the tripod's design was that the threaded mounting point sits precariously close to the jaws of the phone clamp. If you happen to lose the little rubber cap that normally covers the threaded mount, you may to be very careful when you slide your phone into place (especially if you're also wrestling the clamp open with a great deal of force), or you could damage your phone or scratch the case as it passes by the metal threads. The included lavaliere mic proved to be a necessity for any video I recorded from more than a few feet away. Sadly, the microphone's hardware is not noise-cancelling, but it is omni-directional, so you'll have to consider making your videos in slightly more quiet surroundings lest you pick up many a stray sound source in the background coming from pretty much any other direction. However, the improvements in recorded audio quality, volume and clarity vs. using the phone's built-in mic (again, especially at a distance--the cable itself reaches out to 10 feet away) was significant and immediately noticeable in both recorded videos and for my video call participants. However, once I opted to use the lavaliere mic instead of the phone's microphone, I had to don a set of Bluetooth earbuds to hear the caller because the mic requires the use of a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter, which then mutes the built-in speakers (I imagine Android phones without an audio jack will need a similar dongle for the lavaliere mic). This may not be a problem for those simply looking to use the tripod and/or light to spiffy up some otherwise plain-vanilla phone-sourced video/recordings, but you should be aware of some of the hoops you might have to jump through if you want to use the complete package during a live video call. The included Bluetooth shutter remote helpfully started and stopped video recording (or snapped a photo when I left the phone in 'camera' mode) and includes buttons for both iOS and Android--strangely, both buttons worked flawlessly on my iPhone 12 so I'm not sure what to make of that--other than it wasn't necessary for me to fumble around or look down at the remote to find the correct button to use...YMMV. Finally, the big draw of this kit is the rechargeable and adjustable LED light. Construction feels substantial and high quality as it is mostly metal with an informative LCD screen on the back to indicate the currently selected color temperature, brightness, battery charge, and estimated illumination time remaining. The power button doubles as the mode selector (temperature or brightness selection) while two other buttons handle +/- adjustments. The color temperature ranges in 100K increments from a warm, almost pale orange candlelight-type glow at 3100K; to a more cool white, near daylight-looking 5500K. Brightness adjustments run from 1-5% in increments of 1, and then by 5s up to 100%--the difference in brightness is definitely noticeable, though the contrast between 50% and 100% brightness seemed far less stark and noticeable than between 1% and 50%. These differences were also reflected in the run-time variations we observed. With the light pack fully charged, illumination at 1% brightness was estimated at more than 8 hours; at 50% brightness, run time was estimated at just over 1.5 hours; and at 100% brightness, estimated run time was only about 50 minutes. However, even at 1% brightness, the light is very effective (read, VERY bright) and can be difficult to look at when you're using the entire setup in close-quarters, though the slide-on/snap-on diffusion screen does help soften the harshness of all those LEDs in your face. This light kit is definitely geared towards "regular" video use as only variations in white color temperatures are supported--there are no RGB type lighting effects. You can also use the light separately from the tripod kit as the light screws onto an individual shoe that a) slides into the top of the tripod's own phone clamp shoe mount, or b) accommodates other cameras and video recorders that feature a shoe mount of their own. About the only things missing here are a small carrying case or bag to help keep everything together, and a few memory slots to store some commonly used lighting presets. Between the 25 color temperature settings, and the 24 brightness level adjustments, and the possible inclusion of the diffusion filter, you essentially have 1200 lighting combinations to pick from. For the average consumer, that might be a few too many granular lighting options depending on how many different types of lighting environments are commonly used, so a few shortcut settings saved to memory would definitely be useful. Overall, however, this is a great/flexible little kit that really has the potential to elevate the quality or production values of your phone-based video calls and recordings without feeling like you have to cart around an entire studio's worth of equipment.

the Best Portable Zoom Setup, Professional Quality

The Digipower Instructor is the best portable Zoom setup I have used. Digipower calls it a "Professional Video Kit" and I believe them. The build quality is superb. The 8.5" trip is top quality, metal, and (see photos) has notches so you can lock each leg of the tripod independently. This is GREAT when you are setting up your phone/camera on an uneven surface. The tripod has a ball joint mechanism, so your phone can be set up in horizontal or vertical (see photos). The light attaches with a camera shoe adapter (included). So the light can double as an always-on flash on a standard camera. Digipower has really thought ahead on the light. There's a small screen that shows you the remaining battery, color temperature, and brightness. At peak brightness and temperature, the light is blindingly bright. In my recording tests, I kept the intensity at 1% and always used the (included) diffuser. Honestly, the light is just so good it puts those ring lights everyone else uses to shame. I like that the display also lets you know the remaining battery life. FYI, the light is rechargeable using USB. Included is a clip-on omnidirectional wired microphone. The quality is very good. To use it with iOS you will need to use an adapter (not included). It's worth using the microphone if you're recording a lesson, etc. as the audio quality is superior although you probably don't want to use the microphone for Zoom calls. Also included is a shutter remote that pairs to either iOS or Android devices. It's a small battery-powered Bluetooth key ring size dongle. It's nice to have but not really necessary. Overall. It's very impressive. Digipower has really put together a professional quality package. If you need a portable setup for recording videos with everything you need, you can't go wrong. Recommended.

Doing meetings and classes from home has been the “norm” for the past year-and-a-half. What I’ve noticed was despite being in a well lit rooms I still come off a little dark. Now with this Digipower, the lighting has been fixed and the accompanying mic set up has made video meetings a better experience. In the box, you have the tripod, microphone, wireless shutter remote, and LED light. Set up is pretty simple as the phone holder on top of the tripod folds upward with adjustable clamp to hold it in place. The LED light slides on top of that. The tripod legs can adjust from 6.5” to another 2”. The mount can be adjusted further though the ball movement for easy swivels. My only issue is the screw cover right in front of the phone can easily be lost as I fear that my phone, if not properly clamped may fall and land on that screw. The 112 LED light gives you a nice bright fixture to enhance your video quality. Per their website, the 1500mAh Li-Poly battery provides you up to 16 hours of battery life. I’ve used it for my morning rounds on the lowest brightness for 1 hour for the past 2 weeks and so far I priced about half the battery life left. On the back of the light you have the settings screen where you can adjust brightness and color temperatures, and view the battery life. The the right side is the Power ON/OFF button that can also double as the color mode and brightness level switch. Below that are the increase and decrease buttons. The included microphone has been a good addition to my video/sound quality. The windscreen helps minimize background noise and sounds as I do video calls either at home or when at home with the kids and dog being loud. Overall, this has been a great addition and enhancing experience to my video calls.

The Digipower Instructor video kit has been a useful tool for me. I like to make videos for blogs that I do on various forms of social media. Being able to have a sturdy tripod that stands at 8.5" allows me to place it securely on my desk or countertop. The provided items that come included are a clip on omnidirectional microphone which has helped improve my audio clarity when speaking. Since I have an iPhone XR I utilized my lightning adapter to connect this to my phone. Also I'm impressed with the LED light this comes with. 112 Bi-color LED light goes from a yellow tint to a bright white light. You'll get 24 different brightness settings and 25 color temperature settings. The digital LCD control panel display shows your color temperature and your lighting control setting, along with the estimated battery life time. You'll also get a remote that comes with this that connects via bluetooth allowing for you to control the camera and video. My iPhone XR with a case on it fits well into the tripod and it holds my phone securely. Overall I'm pleased with this Digipower Instructor video kit for it's functionality and simplicity. I can take it with me on the go and vlog with the comfortable handle/grip. I am also able to use it in my indoor settings and ensure that I have a great lighting situation with the LED lights, and great audio clarity with the wired microphone. Helpful investment for someone like myself looking to do more videos on social media or for work/school scenarios.

Great for video blogging, WFM, selfies, action camera use, etc. Super easy to setup. A lot of mounting options. Compression type for cellphones and screw mount for other video devices.. tripod easy to use. Easy to adjust. Nice feel. Lighting is nice. Warning it is super bright. I had to pull it down to the min even with filter on. Only suggestion to manufacturer is the increase the filter as it can be blinding if you are filming yourself and look at the light accidentally. Other than that the light has a lot of controls and lasts super long. Would highly recommend it this product for what it says it does. Nice job.

    Decent, Cost-Effective Video Kit

We have moved into a world where video conferencing and remote learning have become the norm. The overall experience in these settings can be greatly dependent upon the equipment and setup used. This is where something like the Digipower video kit can make all the difference. This kit arrived well-packaged and has an overall above average build quality. It feels relatively solid and not cheaply made or designed. Sound quality, in many ways, can make or break a video conference. As backwards as that seems, there is great frustration that comes from not being able to hear what is being spoken. Many high profile YouTubers will tell you, if you can only choose to have great video or great audio, choose great audio. People are more willing to overlook video quality than sound quality. The included lav mic with this kit goes a long way to do just that. I needed a dongle to connect it with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. There is plenty of cord length to allow for movement and distance from the setup. Ambient background sound is decently filtered, and voice quality is more clean, clear, and crisp. Setup was straightforward and not difficult. The clamp easily accommodated my iPhone 12 Pro Max and securely held it in place. The multi-position tripod is easily adjusted for both desktop and handheld use. The rotating swivel allows for virtually endless positioning. There is an included fob to control the camera shutter via Bluetooth and connected app. Connection was easy and consistent. Simple in use and design and controls the shutter as intended. Nothing over-the-top or advanced. Lighting - this is where the Digipower shines. Yeah, I might have intended that pun. 1500mAh battery, over a hundred LEDs, adjustable color temps and brightness, a diffuser cover - this light is BRIGHT and definitely improves the video quality. This is a yellow / white only light - no color variants. The rear LCD display lets you see the settings and remaining battery life. Speaking of which - is really great. Obviously at full intensity battery drain increases and you will likely only get an hour or two of use. But with moderate settings you can easily get a few hours of use. So what is my verdict? This is a great setup for beginner to average users. Cost-effective, well-built, and easy to use. Take your videos up a notch.
