    I think this product is useful in keeping the DVD player running smoothly, I do not know how effective it is in bringing equipment back from really not running well. I have an older DVD player that sometimes does not play my DVD's and purchased this to try to play the ones that it would not play. It did not help.

    I bought it based on the problems I was having and thought perhaps this would clean the lens and I'd be good to go. Tried, but it didn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if it didn't work if perhaps this device was not what I really need.
