My parents broke their original remote, so I bought this one for them. Easy setup, works perfectly. Also has a backlight, which I thought was great!

I don't like that there is not a stop button for when you are watching DVR. If there is one I must not be smart enough to figure out where it is. Overall, I like it though

I like it better than the standard direct tv remote. It has a light button on the side and just feels better to hold. My dog ate my old one. Setting it us got a little confusing on one part only. the directions say press 1 next step says key in 5 5 digit code well all the codes were only 4 digits it doesn't tell you the 1 you pressed in the last step is one of the digits... Once i figured that out everything else was easy

Great remote. Works from a good distance. The light up remote comes in handy,especially if you don't want to turn the bright light's on.

Great remote. Small and east to use. Only thing wrong with it is it has no stop button.

I purchased this as a replacement remote for my Directv genie system. I love that the remote is back lit so that I can quickly find the correct button when watching in a dark room. I docked it one star because I have to hold the light button for what seems like an extra long amount of time to get the remote to light. It does not auto light like some harmony remotes.

Directv doesn’t even sell these. Get this from Best Buy cause it’s the only place available.

My wife says I'm crazy, but I hate this little thing. You push the button for the light and nothing happens. You push it again really hard and the light turns on. Unfortunately one of two other things usually happens. 1. The battery door pops off or 2. the thing flies out of your hand like a wet bar of soap. To add insult to injury, DTV had it for less than half the price ;{ The layout of the buttons takes getting used to. If the light came on easily I would probably like the unit. I gave it to my wife and I went back to using the DTV original.

Rather than go through the whole process of ordering online and waiting to get a replacement remote from DirecTV, I opted for this model from my local Best Buy. It works great and has light up buttons. Love it!
