This is a great Switch game in both portable and console form. As a console game it looks as good if not better than the PS4 version.

It's a great turn based strategy game. This has some anime tropes, and the humor might be off in some places, but it's pretty good.

This is a great game for turn-based strategy fans. However, it does take a while to adjust to if you've never played Disgaea before as the amount of detail in this game is astounding. Definitely not for the light of heart. Only complaint is that at times I feel like there's no goal that I'm aiming towards while leveling up my characters/items. The max is 9999 and I'm no where near that. In games like FE you have obvious exciting points to look forward to such as class changes. Still, overall a great game and well worth the price for amount of content.

I had never played a disagea game before, but was looking for something along the lines of Final Fantasy tactics. This game fits the bill. It is a solid tactical battle RPG with lots to do as far as customizing your character, and getting skills. It is a bit wacky in story line and characters, but overall still enjoyable and fun.

Countless hours of strategy and ways to play the game. Will easily take up lots of time if you are into RPGs.

I had played past games from this series but this one has given the best experience and value, the complete comes with all dlc that was released, and it feels at home playing on the handheld mode of the switch

A great turn based rpg game that was on the ps4 but now it's re-released on the switch with all DLCs.

I'm a fan of gameplay similar to Tactics Ogre so I was interested in this game. I'm not disappointed as there's a ton of content and the gameplay is exactly what I was looking for.

I love Disgaea, it is such a good game with hundreds of hours to have on it.

I can't BELIEVE an RPG as big as this was only $20 on Black Friday!! INCREDIBLE DEAL for this game!! I haven't played into it long enough to tell you if it's worth the full $60 it sells for now, but if you find it in the $30 to $40 range, it's worth checking out!!

Disgaea 5 is a game about the grind, breaking the rules of the game to grind more efficiently, then turn your efficient grinding into more grinding. But is that an issue? No the grind is absurd, but the reward for doing so feels better than most JRPG offerings. You unlock new skills which have animations that feel as powerful as they hit. Power, the feeling of being powerful is what Disgaea 5 is truly great at, and as a tactical, turn based, grid based JRPG. There are gameplay systems that simply make it easier to wipe the enemy in one turn. And for some reason for me it always feels good, tossing party members around to position them perfectly for the one turn kill. Also there are many waifus to be had, and Prinnies won't judge you, so you'll find solace here.

What happens when you take an already great game that was released on the PS4, add in all the DLC, and make it portable.. a fun new addiction! Game plays great on the switch and the developers even found a fun way to go around Nintendo and their lack of trophies/achievement system by putting it in the game themselves.
