A worthy sequel, but lacks one thing.

This is a good follow up to the first version. The Avenger missions get a little repetitive, but they do the job keeping everyone entertained. This is certainly a game I like playing with my kids. The expanded skill tree sets for the characters and revamped Toy Box creation tools make this a good upgrade over the original. The only draw back is no support for the version 1 worlds, so if you plan on ever wanting to play the initial worlds or the Cars/Lone Ranger/Toy Story packs, you have to hold on to your version 1 equipment and possibly your PS3, if you went with the PS4 version of version 2, like I did. On the plus side, you can import your version 1 Toy Boxes and all the Figures do transfer over, so not all is lost.

Now that 3.0 is out, 1.0 and 2.0 are much cheaper. If you just want to go through the adventures, it is well worth picking this up on sale.

Being able to swap the characters out on the included stand is my 7 year old son's favorite part of this game... When he starts to get upset about losing a battle, he'll just pop on a new hero and continue on without having to restart the level over... 12 year old sisters play along well too, good age range.

I really enjoyed Disney Infinity, it was everything I wanted from a cross between Little Big Planet and Minecraft. 2.0 is that and even more. Disney is showing just how invested they are by bringing in both a stellar collection of marvel characters for the figures AND reaching into the depths of the fan-favorite material to flesh the game out. Beta Ray Bill Costume? Check. Adam Warlock Costume? Check. Ghost Rider? Doctor Strange? Slepnir? Check, check, check. And that doesn't even cover all the additions they will be coming out later for Disney's original creations, or the digital content that's been hinted at.

Great collector's edition despite being damaged

This collector's edition didn't waste your money with stuff like DLC or artbooks. Instead, it included a handful of extra characters and a giant platform to put them on. The ice monster is huge and has multiple light settings. You can put a bunch of characters on it for display. Unfortunately mine was scratched up a bit in the box and it's hard to find replacements for this now so I'll live with it. Infinity 2.0 is much better than 1.0 in many ways. Levels and worlds are bigger and more varied, load times are greatly reduced and the graphics are much better than its predecessor. It's still the same beat-em up gameplay and open world sandbox as before but everything is done better. Character toys are decently well detailed and the paint jobs are pretty good overall.

Great game, really detailed base with great light up features. Collector's edition includes core group of Avengers which leaves one with quite few options for gameplay. Great fun and value.

So, when Disney Infinity first came out I thought it was neat and definitely an improvement on the idea of toy-DLC that Skylanders introduced the previous year. I, being an adult, did not buy into it though because it seemed to mostly be Pixar and newer Disney properties and I didn't necessarily want figures of those. I was only going to cough up the cash if they gave me some classic Disney cartoons (DW or other Disney Afternoon fair) or some of their new Marvel properties. Lo and behold, they heard the latter part of that statement and here we are. The figures are fun and well made. The game is surprisingly fun. And the collector's edition stand is cool and has a spot for Loki when he eventually comes out.

This was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up. I had the 3.0 set, so this was a great way to branch back into 2.0 for all my favorite Marvel Superheros.

Disney is going into the right direction by adding more content, they just need to put it where it counts. The story modes are kind of ho-hum and not as enjoyable as the monsters u or lone ranger sets from last year. The control seem a little floatier too. Still a good time, but definitely has room for improvement. There was more variety from that standpoint, but if you are looking at making your own content, then the sky is the limit here. Hopefully you have the creativity and patience to see your project through til the end.

The game is good, the collectors edition was good, the deal of the day price made it incredible. I like the game, I like the characters, I like the premise but the system is too restrictive IMHO. I don't have time to create my own toy boxes (worlds), I want to play in levels and boards that are built for me, and with so many characters available, I want to take Tinker Bell and fight along side Iron Man and Sully but mixing characters like that isn't possible within the game itself. You can mix and match in the various toy boxes made and downloadable but I just can't get into all that.

I didn't want to get into the Disney Infinity Franchise because I knew it would be expensive so I didn't even look that way. However, once 2.0 with Marvel came out and I saw the collector's Edition I was like "I gotta get that!!" Now all my fears came to reality since I am looking to collect all of them and the game is fun for the whole family. I laugh because my nephew can't sit down to play. He stays up switching the figures every so often and he gets excited with the game. He keeps saying AWESOME!!!, every time he discovers something new like lying, using a car or motorcycle, create you world in toy box, etc.

I purchased infinity because I have been a lifelong marvel fan and I was intrigued by the concept of buying the collectible figurines that can be used as unlockable characters in the game. The figures themselves are very well represented, great color quality in the paint jobs, feel solid/durable and they're all around very well made. I expected the game to be very much for children but I've been pleasantly surprised by the amount of depth in the combat system. Each character having their own skill tree that you can choose to advance different character types in different ways. It's great fun coop play!

this CE is big very big!!! my GF said where will we put it and at the moment i do not know. It is very nice has spots for all the avengers and a character next to the frost giant (loki of course or switch it up by putting ronan the accuser there haha) the display is for looks only not meant as a portal of sorts and just to display your figures.. The game is included with some stickers, the avengers hulk, two toy box discs and is fantastic A++.

Good starter set with game, stand and 6 figures. For $179.99 I feel that it should have had a lot more then 6 figures though since they are around $35 for 2, at least 4 more should have been included to make up for the $100 difference between the starter set and this one

Expanding on the original game by adding Marvel Super Heroes. Very enjoyable with ability to make your own levels or download already created levels to add more hours of game play. It makes a great super hero game as well.
