Great for added content

Different discs give different abilities or vehicles in the game. Each pack is a blind package which means you do not know what discs are included. If you want that absolute most enjoyment from the game you will need these, but they are not necessary to play the game.

Cool but not liking the blind aspect

We've only bought a few and had a couple duplicates which isn't fun. A couple of the others were really excellent though so overall we were happy with it. I've heard that Disney Infinity 3.0 will not have blind packs which will be a welcome change!
