I am a professional stock photographer and videographer. I am using top cameras in the market but this camera was not a toy to me also. With this price, that performance is unbelievable. I am selling a lot of footage than ever.

When I saw this, I knew I had to have it. It has been a lot of fun to use. The wireless module is a must. The accessory mount is nice too. Works great for timelapse and motionlapse. Real nice 4k video.

This device looks like a great gadget but be aware, you MUST have a device with USB-C and DJI app to activate the device. The camera doesn't work unless it is activated through the Mimo app. Most phones like Samsung S7 / S8 will not work with this device. As of today, you can't activate the device using the lightning USB cable. It only works with iphones and other very limited android phones. I just picked up my Osmo Pocket and downloaded the app but CAN'T use the device since I can't activate it with my Samsung S7 edge phone. I will be returning this product. Buyer beware!

      Hi,

We are sorry that you are unhappy with this product. The limitations of microUSB's transfer speeds required us to use USB-C and Lightning connections only. We will hopefully have a way to activate the device via PC or Mac soon. DJISupport

This camera is pretty pricey but I honestly love it. It does exactly what it says, which is records stunning stabilized pictures/video and fits snuggly into your pocket. I honestly prefer to film things with this over my phone now as well. Once you get the hang of it, you can easily pull it out as fast as you could your phone. The picture quality if probably better as well, depending on the phone. The software on the Osmo Pocket is great too. ActiveTrack, Hyperlapses, FPV, etc. You'll get a feel for them all once you start using it. The camera itself feels really nice in ones hands. It doesn't feel cheap. It comes with a hard plastic case with a rubber strap over it to keep it from falling out. You just sorta plop it in the case and it sits nicely. Everything about it is really well made. My only gripe would be the amount of money you'll probably end up spending on accessories. The little wheel-thing feels like a must have and honestly should've been included with the camera. But alas, its not. The wheel/bluetooth stand is a quality of life thing. The camera works perfectly without them. There are a ton of third-party accessories out there as well, like bike mounts, care mounts (making the Osmo function as an expensive, yet stabilized dashcam), tripods, and a lot more. Mostly on Amazon and Ebay. All in all, this thing is versatile, and extremely intuitive to use. With the accessories, you can do a lot with the thing, and by itself its a great camera. If you do get it, buy a big microsd card for it, the last thing you want to do is worry about space on it.

I needed a camera that has active tracking it and this was a great purchase! Here are some features I love. 1. amazing video quality. 2. Great for POV videos. It actually drowns any background noise when recording in a crowded place. 3. Great for travel vloggers. 4. The app is amazing. 5. Battery life is great. 6. Connectivity with devices is also very good. 7. Easy to use. Any one with no video recording can use this to create beautiful videos. 8. Light and yes it will fit it your pocket. So compact. 9. Feels sturdy and great quality when you hold it. The only thing i would suggest is to bring the price down. I think this is more appropriately priced at 275 - 300 instead of 350.

I’m blown away at the quality of this small tiny camera. When I can’t take my Sony a7iii this is my go to travel camera. Surprisingly you can pair the footage from this camera with a high end DSLR. It does suffer in low light as expected however it still wins against any cell phone camera. Disclaimer- this isn’t anything like a GoPro nor should they ever be compared to one. It’s like trying to comparing an apple with a carrot, both amazing - but neither alike. I never understood why it’s advertised as an action camera, it’s not. If you want an action camera buy a GoPro, if you want a compact cinema like stabilized camera buy the osmo pocket.

Pros: 3-axis mechanical stability in a small slim format. If you own any of the DJi drones with integrated mechanically stabilized cameras you will feel right at home and notice the videos are extremely stable and look/feel like you are flying a drone (wide movements are smoothed out significantly). Small format: it fits in your pocket easily. I have a Sony 4k camcorder that is now large and bulky compared to this action cam and it only records 4k30p. This little Osmo shoots at 4k60p! Awesome. Linking it to my Note 8 for a large viewing screen is awesome also. Now the downside.... Cons: At 4k60p I got only about 40 minutes of record time before it shut off out of power. The sound record quality is about as good as you would expect from an action camera (low and muffled a little at any distance). Face tracking does not work at 4k60p (only 4k30p and lesser resolutions, should be stated clearly but let it be known that is the case). Hooking up to my phone I have to remove the protective case (USB-C connector is too short for a case over your phone). Small touch screen is too small for my vision so if you have a hard time reading close up you'll have a hard time effectively using the small screen to shoot great videos if you rely on clearly seeing details as you shoot. Photos in low light do not come out clear if any of the subjects move at all. I have only shot at 4k60p so I don't know how any of the other resolutions perform but know that 4k60p looks great. Besides all my cons I still recommend this camera for its stability, great 4k60p video shooting, and compactness.

I have always loved making videos but was always so annoyed by the bounce in my walk, the shakiness and the quality of my videos. I was also always very turned off by how much equipment I needed to even make one video I was not even happy about. BUT THIS! It is so compact and smooth and easy to use. My video are nearly flawless. It is super user friendly! The only reason why I chose to not give it 5 stars is because I have experienced it to heat up since the day I took it out of the box. The gimble also goes into safety mode in the middle of my recording here and there which can be annoying. Other than that, I am in love with this purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the 2-Year insurance with this.

I decided to supplement my photography with video. Initially, I looked at the DJI Gimbal for my smartphone. However, the Osmo Pocket got my attention and after some consideration and reading reviews, I decided to spend the extra money and buy the Pocket. It turned out to be the right choice. The Pocket offers many of the benefits of a gimbal, but without the size and weight. There's a lot to learn about this device. You must register and activate it with DJI through the smartphone app before you can use it. That turned out to be a bit of a challenge. (It would be nice to have a Windows app for firmware upgrades and registration. You can download video from the Pocket to your PC with a USB-C cable.) The Lightning or USB-C connection is such that only the thinnest phone cases will allow it to make a connection. Once registered, you don't have to connect it to your phone, but it's the only way to do firmware upgrades. You can access the Pocket's controls via the tiny screen, but if you have fat fingers it will be a challenge. Better to use your phone. To do that you really need to purchase a device that can hold your phone and the Pocket at the same time to maintain the connection for maximum control. While you're at it, you should buy a handle or mini-tripod to hold the entire package. Yes, it's more money (less than $50, total), but it's the only way you can realistically and safely use the Pocket with your phone. You can use the Pocket alone if you prefer, of course. It's so small you can easily use it with one hand. The Pocket's video is quite good. Sound quality is just OK. DJI has been slow to release a microphone adapter for the USB-C port (which is also used to charge it.) I have an external mike, but the adapter won't be widely available until May 2019, which is annoying. It should have come out at the same time as the device. There are other accessories; I haven't felt the need to purchase any so far. It takes some practice to get the most out of the Pocket, so I recommend spending some time on YouTube. There are some very helpful videos there. As you can imagine, video takes a lot of memory space so I recommend a fast 128GB micro-SD card (and a fast one--it's video).

This was a bit of a journey with trial and error with other products before I got here. I own a GoPro Hero 5 and borrowed the GoPro gimbal stabilizer for a vacation. It was awesome. Fast forward a year later I decided to buy one for myself (felt bad borrowing a $300 gadget). I actually tried the cheaper off brand $100 stabilizers for action cameras and those were good but not great. I won't bore you with all those details. The GoPro gimbal didn't work right out of the box! After updating all the firmware with no positive results, my online research uncovered an even longer list of issues the stabilizer is having or may have. No thanks!! I understand technology is crap these days but c'mon! This brings me to the Osmo Pocket. This is even more money and I already own a GoPro, but I figured there shouldn't be any compatibility issues since it's all one piece. I'm not trying to make 2 gadgets work together. It's AWESOME! You have to mentally adjust your perception of this thing while you handle it bc it's so small and doesn't look/feel like a high end piece of equipment. The video is amazing and SO easy to quickly get a spontaneous shot. The PANO still pics are super cool especially when you're in areas like Zion or Sedona and you want the whole mountain range in the pic. I ordered a cheap $5 accessory to make this camera compatible with all my GoPro attachments which helped justify this purchase as well. You will need to figure out how to use this on YouTube which is the way things are these days I guess. Not even the DJI app had detailed instructions just very generic. Kinda annoying but solvable. After one trip with this, I definitely want to have wireless control of the camera with my phone. Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for that accessory as with most tech products. I would say the only concern is that the battery is not removable. Once the battery is trash then so goes the camera. I hope that isn't the case for a long long time.

this camera is a great option if you wanna step up from go pro. ATTENTION this is not water proof. But if what you want is a camera with great stabilization and excellente quality rather than a action camera with fish eye lens then this is the one! Is a bit expensive but you get what you pay for! It's easy to use and very light.

If you're making videos and you don't want to lug a huge camera or a huge gimbal around, this is the perfect item for you. You have the ability to have high quality video and premium stability in such a small size. There are differences from using this and using a larger classic gimbal. If you're not targeting any thing in particular and you're up close to an item, there will be some shaky looking video, but once you're figured the target lock and using that for most of the video, the stability is very good. The scrolling on the screen can also be troublesome also. If it is too small to use for, you're basically forced to buy the extension, which really is the perfect extension. That being said, after you buy this item, this isn't the only item you need. I do recommend the expansion set that include the scroll wheel, and wireless connection to your phone. Battery is about 2-3 total hours of record time, if not more. It's noticeably short but charging is really a none issue. Space is great, but you have to be sure you're getting the right SD card to be able to record 4k if you need it. I got the SANDISK EXTREME PLUS word for word. I've grabbed 30gb of video on one day at my max. I kept it safe just incase i don't reload it, with a 128 gb.

Another great DJI product. 4k is awesome. Easy to set up. Just need to download DJI Mimo app. A few cons: price is bit steet, screen is a bit small but it is a pocket, it does tend to get hot when its on. Other than that, cant complain cause Im still gonna use this amazing product from DJI!!!

This video camera is amazing. Small, easy to use, and very discreet. It is a little pricey but we feel well worth it. 4K works great and the gimbal really reduces the jumpy views you get when recording while moving. We are really happy with our purchase.

This is my 3rd DJI Gimbal to date, and this one is hands down the superior model in performance and price. The main attraction, the 3-Axis gimbal does a wonderful job for its compact size. The camera itself captures great quality videos and pictures. Specs aside, the built in display gets the job done with plenty of settings and features, even more so when you attach a smartphone. My only complaint is the lack of built in Bluetooth and the non-removaleable battery. Out side of those 2 negatives, this camera is a great option for someone looking to get semi-professional grade video.
