This quadcopter is so easy to fly you can really focus on the aerial videoography. I have been able to capture some wonderful video and photos so far! I look forward to many more flights withi my phantom. There are lots of additional and aftermarket parts available which is great.

Great product if your looking for a good camera and a stable drone. Very easy to fly.

I shopped these drones for awhile and ended up choosing the DJI Phantom Advanced. Among the competition, DJI appears the most prolific, and arguably has the most mature app integration. There's even an SDK available for you to toy with making your own applications for it, if you're into that sort of thing. My father and I fly this drone quite a bit. Be careful! Its a time consuming and expensive hobby, but you'll likely love every minute of it; we do! My father in particular is blown away by the quality of the camera you get on these, and he works for a Camera manufacturer. So far I've flown a bit over a quarter-mile away at around 400ft. Its easy to do as you can exceed 40mph when you have a tail wind and you can expect 20 minutes of flight on each battery. All in all its so simple to use and the video and photo quality is better than expected. I didnt opt for the Professional version at the time, as actually being able to view the 4K videos in native resolution, wasn't very likely, especially if you share them on something like Facebook. However, I am jealous that the Pro version charges more quickly. Ah well, I have 2 batteries now and plan to get the quick charging 4 battery dock in the future.

I started out owning the phantom 1.1.1, and recently upgraded to the Phantom 3 Advanced. This drone has unbelievable battery life, ease of use, and camera. I would recommend this edition to anyone who has used a DJI drone before. If you are new to this "hobby" I would recommend to start with the DJI Phantom 3 Standard. It is less complicated and most importantly costs less. I didn't see a reason to purchase the professional model for a 4k camera. Unless 4k is a necessity, I would look for the DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. You wont regret the decision.

I did my research before purchasing. Both the Advanced & Professional use Glonass GPS (meaning it utilizes American & Russian satellites) instead of the standard GPS which makes many more satellites available. More satellites provides better GPS location and your craft can hover in place without moving at all. The Advanced & Professional also use a "Lightbridge" connection instead of WIFI...thus giving up to 1.2 miles distance...even further with no obstructions. Altitude distance is set to 120 meters (396 feet). In the settings you can increase this to 500 meters (1640 feet) but when doing so you will get a prompt telling you that you may be in violation of FAA rules. The only difference between the Advanced & Professional is the camera. Advanced has a 2.7K camera where the Professional hs a 4K. The video on the Advanced is amazing. While flying you can connect your smartphone or tablet to the controller which provides a First Person View display for flying. I'm currently using an iPhone 5S with my controller. I highly recommend a larger screen such as that of an ipad Mini to be able to see better during flights...especially at night time. While flying if you release the controls the craft will just hover in place while you decide your next action. It is very easy to fly and you can also control the up & down movement of the camera thru the controller. If you were to loose the connection the craft will automatically return to the takeoff point...when you change flight locations just be sure to set the height you want it to be when it returns to avoid power lines, trees, and buildings. You can always cancel the return process once the craft comes back within your controller range. I can't say enough about this craft...IT'S AMAZING!!!

If you want a new toy the Phantom 3 is really easy to learn with. It takes unbelievable photos and film and is relatively easy to learn to fly even if you've never flown RC before. Check out the YouTube videos and you'll be flying in no time. The DJI quality is worth the price tag. I added removable prop guards but only used them the first few training flights and when flying inside. I will also add an extra battery to my accessories, flight times are around 15 min, the reported 23 min is only possibe down to 0% which is not recommended. My only complaint is that I use an iPad Air 2 for the display and this is really hard to see during the day in bright sunshine, A good shield helps but still not ideal. Please follow the rules in your neighborhood, it is a great tool but can be dangerous. Be respectful of others and learn how to control it properly.

DJI's Phantom 3 Advanced might be pricey, but for what you get right out the box is well worth it. It has a good camera, a well-designed app and a controller that make it simple-to-fly. The flight performance and safety features allow even advance users to have fun while flying. The DJI-Go app can enable you to fly and gives you better situational awareness. I would recommend the DJI.

Never flew a drone before. Bought a DJI Phantom 3 and its super easy to use. Great distance, but look online for free hacks to extend the range even more. Highly recommend to anyone. Don't waste your money on a "starter drone". Battery life is about 20-25 minutes, depending on how fast you fly the drone. Max speed is about 33 mph. Just make sure to download the app before flying. Recommended piece to buy = 1 foot lightning cable (I use Apple products). The default cable that comes with an iPad/iPhone is long and will hang down by your knees. 1 foot cable is the perfect amount. If you're reading this, just buy it :) HAPPY FLYING!!!

My husband had no idea I bought this for him for Christmas and was so excited! The quality is amazing. It is easy to operate.

This drone is awesome. The camera is great. It was easy to learn to fly and I am having a ball taking all the photo and videos of the beautiful landscapes.

While at first it may seem complex once you are familiar with everything it is quite basic. It does take some practice to feel comfortable with the drone but you get used to it pretty quickly. I had no trouble following the instructions and getting my first flight in. The camera takes excellent pictures and is easy to use. Couple of observations while you can certainly use your phone for viewing I recommend an IPad or iPad mini. These will let you see much more clearly. If you're outside in sunshine you definitely need a shield for your screen or it will be very difficult to see making flying harder. Lastly one minor complaint the cord supplied to connect your device to the controller was an Android cord. I am an iPhone user so the cord was not compatible. Fortunately I had s spare cord so I was able to actually fly my drone. It would have been disappointing to say the least to get it all set up and then not be able to fly your drone. At the very least they should mark the box with a note that I phone users will need a cord or better yet supply one of each. All in all worth every penny and I enjoy flying my drone as often as I can.

This is by far the best UAS available in this price range. The controls are incredibly easy. Over 48 flights and not a single crash. Highly Recommend

This drone is easy to fly, takes great video and pictures, and seems to be sturdy.

This is incredibly easy to fly. Right out of the box, take off and fly like a pro. Only downside is I wish Best Buy sold accessories for this drone.

Was a Christmas present for my husband and he loves it. Uploads to phone or tablet that's plugged into remote and video is amazingly crisp!

So far so good. The drine handling its excellent, very friendly interface and incredibly awesome shots from the sky. Only complain about battery life. Only you can fly for about 20-23min. Besides that it is a great drone all the way!

Super easy to fly I've never flown one before and figured it out so fast! Definetly was worth my month.

Got this in and haven't put it down. Fly just about every day, and go fly at different places.
