Although there are a few discrepancies between stated and actual stats, I absolutely love this thing! Good things first... -4K!!! Absolutely stunning video that amazes me every time I shoot! -Interface and controls, very user friendly and easy to get used to. -Forward collision avoidance, with this activated I have an extra sense of security that I'm not going to run into a wall or tree by mistake. -Online tutorials, Thousands of helpful tips and tricks online and YouTube. There are a whole lot more positive points but I could go on forever... Now the bad... -In my neighborhood (rural suburb) I get a max range of a little over a mile- nowhere near the 3 mile range advertised. -Gimbal tilt, the gimbal never seems completely level, no matter how much I calibrate it it's always a tiny bit uneven... But I fix it in post editing. -I get an average of 20-23 minutes of flight time depending on wind, not the 25-30 advertised. -It is going to bankrupt me lol! This has become a very expensive hobby... aside from the $1300 for the UAV itself you'll have to consider batteries, accessories like cases or backpacks, a monitor for the remote (higher-end phone or tablet, older ones will not work), and a computer capable of editing 4K footage if you record in 4K. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase. Since buying I find myself constantly looking everywhere trying to find the next spot to fly and film and thinking how amazing it will look from the sky in 4K. This drone is amazing and packed with so many features. I am a first time drone pilot and I was hesitant to buy the phantom 4 at first but after doing some research, reading reviews, and watching videos I was sold. I've owned the drone for 2 weeks now and I'm learning more about it every time I fly. Eventually I'll be comfortable enough to fly in the advanced mode and fly further away (currently I'm keeping the drone within a half mile and in line of sight). The camera takes great photos and excellent videos. I haven't flown any other drones so I can't really compare it to others but for being my very first one I'm definitely impressed.

Beautiful video, stunning pictures, smooth flight, easy to fly, return to home button is a life saver! I would highly recommend this fantastic drone! Get a tempered glass lens cover - you want to preserve that lens as it is the most vulnerable part of the drone. Watch all the DJI tutorials - very helpful. And print the owner's manual from the DJI website. There are some functions in the manual that I didn't see in the videos. Also - it is a good idea to use a mini ipad 2 instead of an iphone - makes the shooting part much easier. Very impressed with the drone.

I am a beginner drone pilot and this was my first drone that I have ever flown and I have to say that this drone handles very well. This drone is equipped with auto stabilize which will hold the aircraft in place so you dont have to constant move the controls to keep your drone in place to capture the photo or video you want. This makes a huge difference for beginners because it allows you the time to change settings and use all the other features that the drone has to offer like the follow me feature, waypoint, active track, orbit mode, etc. I have no complaints about the drone besides the fact that it didn't allow me to buy insurance from DJI. Also Bestbuy did not offer any insurance on the phantom 4 and gave me a hard time about comparing prices. over all the drone is hands down the best in the market.

I bought this as my first drone and it was an amazing experience. Easy to fly and maintain. Images and video were great. Sadly, I wound up returning it for a couple of reasons. 1, I have read more and more about the Mavic Pro and size an portability will make that my likely choice when I purchase a drone again. 2, at the moment I don't think I will get as much use out of either drone to warrant $1200 that I can use elsewhere. The P4 is not too big that I couldn't deal with it, just a bit too big still. When I buy one again (and I will) Either would satisfy my need for camera, video and ease of use, but the Mavic's size will make it the choice for me. As to this drone. I highly recommend it if size is not a concern because it sure is a hoot!

Great drone, easy to fly. Unfortunately had issues with the the first few, a battery wouldn't power up, a controller wouldn't power on, and then an issue with the gimbal but Best Buy was happy to exchange and make it right. Despite the bad luck (assuming bad luck cause I know a lot of people that have bought this drone with no issues) the drone is fun and user friendly, dji continues to do software and firmware updates to improve your flying experience. I would repurchase this drone if something ever happened to it. Lastly, if you think you are having issues, there's a lot of helpful forums out there and it is often something simple in the settings. Pros; very popular so it's easy to find accessories, everything the drone features is relatively accurate, Dji seems committed to continually improve firmware and software. Cons; would have been 5 star rating if not for the freak issues that I experienced with the firsts ones, while the one I did end up getting is flawless, something still needed said. Thanks again to best buy for making the exchanges easy and also a great reason why to make purchases in a store rather than online.

I have owned several different drones or UMA devices, this one did cost a bit more but was totally worth the purchase price. The tap-to-fly feature works really well, the active track mode is decently good, and the hovering and steadying of the camera on the gimbal is second to none in my opinion. When shooting video the camera takes nice smooth video, sometimes it suffers from rolling shutter, but adding an ND filter greatly reduces the issue. Sport mode is insane, a bit tougher to control but it goes a whole lot faster, about 45-50 mph I believe. A few things I'd consider purchasing with this; batteries, sd cards, remote controller visor for your tablet or smart-phone, carrying bag, and some extra propellers. Also, ND filters. I´m pretty amazed with this Drone, its so easy to fly and has great picture quality, the best feature for me is, the long range feed image from the drone's camera to your monitor device in control remote..also the obstacule avoiding system.. I was aiming for the MAVIC PRO but this one has better image quality.. I recommend getting an extra battery and a micro sd card with bigger space, at least 32Gb. choose the ones thar read/write faster they perform better with 4K video.

I have been flying & building quadcopters for 4 years. I am now a FAA licensed remote UAV pilot. With the Phantom 4 technology has finally reached the point where the average person can take some incredible aerial images. Having owned a Phantom 2, current owner of Phantom 3 Advanced and now the Phantom 4 I Can say DJI has worked out all the bugs of earlier versions. Right out of the box I was impressed with all the improvements. If you are a newbie don't think you will be a pro on your first few flights as drones have an incredible array of features that need to be understood to fly safely and obtain great aerial images. All things considerd I think the Phantom 4 is the best Aerial Platform on the market.

I bought the P4 on March 15 and been flying in Charleston,SC. I also own a P2 Vision + and a P3P. The P4 is very safe to fly and I'm very happy with the quality of the material they used to built this drone.

I honest do not care what DJI drone you by. You will not be disappointed. They are some that complains about the price being so high. Well to those that do. Please think about what all you are getting for your money. Your getting a very hard core quality built product from top to bottom. Your getting a drone equiped with very sophisticated photocells built in. 4 excellent durable motors that I have never had to change out yet. a 4k built in video camera that you control from the remote at a distance of around 2 or so miles. I mean seriously. Think about all your getting for your money. I have 3 DJI drones. The Black Phantom 4. The phantom 3 professional. The best one of all, my phantom 4 pro. I haven't had any trouble out of any of them and they are beyond easy to operate. I would actually say someone that has never flown before could literally pick up the remote and fly with ease. I proved this with my cousin who had never flown one before. I put the remote in his hands and told him to fly it. He was very nervous but once he started to control it he flew it like a champ. I typed all of this I guess to say. DJI are the best drones for the money and I'm proud that I bought mine. After I bought mine two of my cousin bought theres after flying mine. They are still very happy with their purchases.

I already owned a Phantom 3 Advanced. I decided to go 4K and went for the Phantom 4. I cant explain just how happy I am. One slight problem . It was delivered with a BAD battery. I called DJI direct and they are mailing out a new one. That Was Easy. I borrowed a battery and it is GREAT. So easy to fly anyone can do it and the video quality is wonderful A++++++

Beginner mode and tutorials to help you learn. Optical avoidance only sees large objects, not tree branches, so fly accordingly and those systems are shut down during S and A modes. RTH return to home feature works when you calibrate your compass (which you should do before every flight) stay away from metal, even metal in concrete when calibrating. Good quality and the one to buy over the Pro & Pro+ as previously stated, avoidance systems shut down in many modes so learn to fly and you'll be fine. Shooting in 2.7 UHD 4K over other 4K types because no TV produces a picture higher than UHD. APP GO 4 comes with some simple editing software but if you use it to post to social media you're basically advertising for DJI for free. Download your files from the included 16gb class 10 uhs mini SD card included. Buy landing gear and Gimbal guard to protect your camera from the start. Must be registered with FAA and licensed part 107 to fly and take pictures. Fly responsibly so they don't have to add more laws. Added screw on lens kits will help fight the sun, comes with a UV filter on it. Recommend ND 8 / 16 for sunny days. Battery lasts ~20 minutes as recording and flight systems Usage require some of your battery power. Range will not be as far as you think. Clear LOS line of sight is required by law and will give you better range. Houses (WiFi & satellite), trees, buildings all interfere with range so be advised before hand (there are $$ kits to help this). Not a racer, there are other models for that. Crashing and losing your UAS is not covered under Warranty and support is not fast. Practice and location are your most important factors. Know before you fly and additional apps and websites are available. All flights are automatically recorded and uploaded to DJI servers. Check your Tablet or phone model to see if it will work for your Drone or you'll be purchasing one that does. Shut down background apps before flying. You don't want to be interfered with when flying your investment. Advise buying spare batteries as 20 minutes "flies" by and each battery takes about 45 to An hour to charge. Have fun.

This is my very first drone which I found easy to operate with its advanced features. It's obstacle avoidance and ability to return home when signal is lost or batteries are low allows me to concentrate on my Photos and my flying without worrying about losing my drone. Also the exceptional quality of the videos and photos is absolutely amazing.

The DJI Phantom 4 is clearly the best drone out on the market!! If you are a serious photographer or drone enthusiast and want beautiful aerial footage nothing compares to what the Phantom 4 has to offer!! It is well built, has a solid feel to it as well and is literally ready to fly right out of the box! The props are extremely easy to place on & off through their new simple Push Down & Click Right or Left System. The Drone also features obstacle avoidance sensors in the front as well as the bottom which will prevent you from smashing your drone into trees and buildings! The battery life is much better as well and gives you anywhere from 25 - 29 minutes of flight time. So make sure you buy at least a couple extra batteries if you plan on being outside for an hour! I bought my Phantom 4 specifically at Best Buy because they also had a bundle offer so when you bought the drone the batteries were offered at a significant discount...which is why I shop exclusively at Best Buy because they look out for their customers! Anyhow, back to the DJI Phantom 4....BUY IT and I promise you will not be disappointed!!

The Phantom 4 was my first drone purchase. It's easy to fly and takes awesome pictures and videos. I was a little nervous my first few flights but with the adVance features of this drone, flying is a breeze! If you want to take great pics and videos from the air, go for it, you'll be glad you did!

I havent flown it as much since the closest area thats clear to fly is a bit far from me. I do use it as a handheld camera. Keep the props off and its a useable gimbaled camera. You would have to some how mount your phone on the drone. I used double sided tape and it hold up just fine. Theres mounts that can be purchased but they are way over my budget. The quality of the videos are superb! Ive never had any problems during flight even with wind. Its very stable compared to 3dr solo and phantom 3 standard which I previously owned. Its definitely for professionals but easy enough to use for beginners since it has really good and accurate avoidance sensors. I recommend this if your into aerial filming but just for flying its great for awhile but you do the same things over and over which can get really boring if your not using it for filming. Just to add the laws are strict so be sure to learn them before buying and registration is required by law for this weight class.

The Phantom 4 is probably the easiest drone to fly. Very stable yet responsive. I haven't tried the "fast" mode yet, but that's coming soon. The stills and videos it produces are excellent, especially for a built-in camera. Plus the fact that I can shoot RAW adds a lot of value!

Had bought the GoPro Karma and of course with my luck 3 days after the purchase GoPro put out a recall on it. Kept it for a couple days until taking it back and taking it in for the DJI Phantom 4. And MAN am I glad I did. (And not only because of the recall) I love GoPro. They are class all the way around the board. BUT DJI is the Rolls Royce in the drone world. The Phantom 4 IMMEDIATELY outshines what the Karma could do. It comes in an incredibly handy foamposite case right out the box. It has a sturdy strong feel to it. The camera quality is AMAZING. The control of the drone is top shelf. The SPEED of it is awesome fast!! Everything about this drone is top shelf. Easy to use. Easy to fly. Easy to everything. I know it's not the cheapest on the market but you are buying QUALITY. Take it from me. I started with the Karma and loved it. Went from the Karma to the Phantom 4 and wouldn't go back for ANYTHING.

Still the best drone on the market, forget about others and try this DJ4, you won't regret it, for beginners P4 is the best, very very stable flying, obstacles avoices, return home, fallow me, very good for long distances and height altitud.
