I’ve been using the RS4 Mini for a few weeks now with my Sony FX30 and BMPCC 4K (with lighter lenses), and this thing punches way above its weight. It’s super compact — fits easily in a backpack — but still gives buttery-smooth footage. I was surprised by how powerful the motors are for such a small gimbal. It handled quick pans and walk-and-talk shots without any jitters.
The Bluetooth shutter feature is a huge win — I no longer have to mess with cables. Setup is fast thanks to the new auto-locking axis arms, and the memory positions make re-balancing much quicker when switching batteries or lenses.
I’d say this is the best gimbal in its class for lightweight mirrorless setups. Not ideal for heavy cinema builds, but that’s not what it’s made for.
Bottom line:
If you want a powerful, compact gimbal that travels well and doesn’t wear out your arm, the RS4 Mini is a beast. DJI nailed it.

The RS4 Mini was an amazing purchase, it has very simple and easy to learn controls. Great for beginners. The movement is very smooth. When working with fast moving or slow moving subjects this gimbal works great. For the price it is very reasonable.

Very nice, I love using it for Christmas and filming videos at the beach. It is very versatile and allows for good weight capacity’s. It has a great battery life and is a great starter gimble.

I lovd how compact and travel-friendly it is!! I can fold it up and carry it in my jacket pocket, no problem. The magnetic phone mount makes setup fast and frustration-free, which I appreciate when I’m trying to catch a moment quickly.
I’m still playing around with all the features, but ActiveTrack and gesture controls are definitely standout tools. It feels like DJI really thought through what solo creators or mobile shooters actually need.
If you’re looking to elevate your video quality without carrying a bunch of gear, this is it. Super impressed so far—and excited to see what else I can create with it!!

Holy crap this thing has carried me as a growing videographer. The stability is so so so good and just the appearance of it makes you look more professional and confident and it’s gotten me more than my money back with video. I use this daily it’s so freaking good and durable and just everything I wanted

’ve been using the DJI RS4 Mini for a little while now, and honestly, I’m really impressed. It’s compact, lightweight, and super easy to set up — perfect for creators who move fast or work solo. The build feels solid despite the smaller size, and it still gives that smooth, cinematic stabilization DJI is known for.
One thing I love most is how balanced it feels right out of the box. Switching between horizontal and vertical shooting takes seconds, and that’s a huge plus for me since I shoot a lot of social media and short-form content. The battery life has also been great — long enough to get through a full shoot day without stressing.
If I had to mention a downside, it would be that it’s not ideal for larger camera setups or heavy lenses — it’s built more for mirrorless setups. But that’s expected with a “Mini” version.
Overall, the RS4 Mini is a beast in a small package. For travel, weddings, content creation, or run-and-gun filmmaking, this gimbal really delivers smooth results without weighing you down. Definitely worth it if you want professional stabilization in a portable setup.

The best lightweight gimbal I have found for real estate walkthroughs. The auto‑locking arms make setup faster. You can pull it out of the car, power it on, and start shooting without the usual balancing dance. Stabilization is excellent.

The DJI RS 4 Mini is incredibly lightweight and provides rock-solid stability. It has been a total game-changer for my video projects. Highly recommended for creators on the go, but they miss some parts in the open box

The rs4 mini is a great option for lightweight videography, I've traveled with it and I wasnt disappointed with it's lightweight body and long battery life, I almost never have to charge it

First time ever using a gimbal and that experience has been great. Once set up, it has been very user friendly. I have even purchased some of the accessories to go with it and it has helped my experience. If you are worried about your arms getting fatigued, I recommend getting the strap to go with it. The technology put into this model is top notch.

If you're serious about creating videos with your DSLR, mirrorless camera, or even your smartphone, a DJI gimbal is an indispensable tool. DJI is the undisputed leader in camera stabilization, and their gimbals are known for their cutting-edge technolo

Works beautifully with DLSR & 17-70 lens package. Recommend NOT using a coiled cord to the camera if you are using it with a monitor etc. as it puts enough strain on the gimbal to make it sometimes become jittery. A straight cable works great.
