The animated Dr Strange movie is passable fun in and of itself, but is not as good as the live action version.

Loved the movie, but the Digital Copy insert was not in the case when I opened it for the first time.

Purchased the toons version of: Dr Strange to go with the resent release of the same.

Picked this up to prepare for the film coming out this year. I dint know much about him.

Good fun movie starring latest Marvel golden boy. Looks good on Blu-ray.

Pretty good film although not marvels best in the animated department

This movie tells the origin of Dr. Strange, one of Marvel's lesser known and more interesting characters. Dr. Strange does not have the recognition of say Spider-Man or Wolverine but I have always found him to be a fascinating character. The story begins with Dr. Strange as a brilliant but arrogant physician. The movie shows us why he is so cold-hearted and chronicles his change from heartless doctor to someone who learns to care for his fellow man and who becomes a champion defending people against mystical threats. The plot is very well thought out and tells the story of a Sorcerer Supreme in a way that feels realistic (in the context of the movie). The visuals are fantastic. There are many exciting action scenes with sorcerers casting a lot of very cool looking spells. The magic sequences are all very well drawn and superbly animated. The animation throughout is very good, a nice blend of cel and CG animation. I would have liked to have seen a longer featurette on the history of Dr. Strange in comics with more input from Stan Lee, but that's the on;y complaint I have. After seeing this movie, I want to see more Doctor Strange movies! This would be the perfect beginning for a series. I'd love to see an animated series with Doctor Strange or with the Defenders (A team Dr. Strange led in the Marvel comics. The other memebers included the Hulk, the Sub-Mariner and the Silver Surfer). Disney now owns Marvel comics, so there could be more Doctor Strange in the future.

Doctor Strange is by far the best Marvel Animated Feature to date. If you enjoyed the previous animated films by Marvel and you are a Marvel fanboy like me, you should pick this up. The animation has seemed to improve as well as the story. Fantastic character arc for Doctor Strange within 83 minutes. Loved the look of the production. The only weak point was the integration of tornado/creatre CGI with 2D animation, whereas the CG cars worked great. Bonus Features are short, but sweet. Always love the Marvel creator segments. If you've played the Video Games you have already seen the cinematics, but still cool to watch whenever you want. Plus a preview of the new Animated Feature "Avengers Reborn" or "Teen Avengers" which will create entirely new Marvel characters.

Another star in Marvel's crown, Doctor Strange is not their best known character but he's been around for a while. The quality of the animation is very good, the story line is entertaining and it gives you a version of the origins of Doctor Strange. Enhanced for wide screen and in Dolby Digital 5.1, it plays like it's on the big screen. If you like magic and/or superheros I recommend viewing this one.

I loved this movie. The artwork was fantastic and the story line was excellent. It told the story of Doctor Strange from the beginning till he became Sorcerer Supreme of Earth and his conflict with Mordo and the Demon. The graphics on Blu-Ray are fantastic and the price for the movie was real reasonable.

The movie has a solid story for a character who is not known or is popular in the marvel comics....
