Pretty disappointing overall. It has good music and scenery, but the level design, controls, and world navigation are all poor. It doesn't seem like there was much thought put into making this game.

The game is fun and a decent port. My only complaint is the price to gameplay ratio. This game goes by super fast and is crazy easy.

For all the good reviews this one gets I was pretty let down with the actual gameplay. Controls just don't feel that good. The platforming is ok but felt a bit boring. I ended up trading this one away.

Very hard to play. Not like the original donkey kong. I was so disappointed.

Bought this game to fufill my childhood fandom of Donkey Kong. My 7 year old lost interest in it very quickly as too difficult of a game. Probably better for older kids.

I had the older version on n 64. That was a good game. Its to complicated for. Kids. Grafics on this game are good. But my kids didnt like the game Sorry

It really is a great game. I like the Crash Bandicoot vibe it has. But it's a little too difficult for a family game, and there aren't really any settings to make it easier for kids. My 10 year old has been stuck on level two for over a month. My husband and I have both tried to beat it, as well, because we didn't (necessarily) believe that it was that difficult and wanted to see for ourselves. And even we got stuck riding some rhino, and can't seem to get past it. My husband and I play Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Fallout, etc. So, we are definitely gamers, but still found this to be too challenging for a children's/family game. Hopefully they'll update the game and allow more difficulty options for play inclusivity of all ages.

Didn’t like playing it. Was very hard and the controls weren’t user friendly in my opinion.

I don’t actually play it as much because is a repetitive game so I got bored of it fast.

I was expecting Nintendo Donkey king with the different islands. This donkey Kong game is pretty lame. It basically like Mario game but with donkey Kong. It’s simple too simple. I bought the switch my boyfriend and I thinking it would have old school Nintendo.

This is a run left and right game you can’t navigate or explore it sucks so bad because even older dk games I played I could Explore and run around this is totally not expected for a Nintendo switch game unacceptable

I found this game to be pretty boring. While the levels have a lot of variety in the background the actual mechanics are very similar from level to level.

It was funa at first but after it got repeatedly so fast, expected more

I bought this for my 11-year-old son for Christmas. It was a very difficult game to play. It created much frustration, and I would say anger. We had to return it, at a significant loss.

I am sure there will be people out there that loved this game, but I am not one of them. I got this one to play with my wife and son. The second person that plays (The sister, brother, or Grandpa) doesn't feel like they are on equal footing as the main donkey kong. It makes the second player feel weak and more of a tag along that someone that is needed. We didn't love it. But overall it wasn't terrible.

Pretty upset at the fact that Nintendo will resell games like this but oh well its a good game.

No one likes this game; it’s boring and dull - uninteresting.

The game is great. My daughter loves it. Keeps her intrigued and interested throughout the whole time playing with it. Its a good game for the low cost. I would definitely recommend.
