Fun for fans of Doom. Challenging to figure the maps. Bloody

DOOM this one i won't ever forget played they game a hard and beat it and wow all i can say is i wanna play thru the campaign again!! fantastic doom game!!!

Game was not what expected. It was a gift for a family member. They like the graphics but too hard to play and hard to move up in the level.

If you're a fan of the Doom series, this is a great Doom game. It does not try to reinvent the game, it plays like how you expect the game to play. It's a fun time with tons of actions, lots of things to shoot at.

This game definitely gets your blood pumping, very fun.

Grabbed it on sale plus GCU. I wanted to wait till it was discounted before buying as my attention has been solely dedicated to overwatch. I have no intention on playing multiplayer in this game but the single player is fast paced, brutal and bloody. Never played a Doom before but saw that cheesy movie with the Rock in it so I was familiar with what was going on. Almost through the campaign and I've really enjoyed it so far. Frame rate seems to never dip when playing with boost mode active on the PS Pro. Badass game especially at the price I paid.

There's a lot more jumping involved than there was in the original Doom games. Sometimes it's a little annoying when I'm just in the mood to kill demons. Overall it's just as fun and challenging as the Doom I remember. Really cool feature to allow you to find the original Doom levels and play them. The glory kills are a nice touch, in my opinion. Definitely hours and hours of entertainment and challenging gameplay in this one. I usually wait until a game comes down in price before I purchase it, but this one was worth paying full price for. Great game.

Loved this game. Single player is purely awesome with that same tension and feeling that the original Doom games had back in the day. Music is great and the graphics are phenomenal. With zero health regen, and reloading required, its classic Doom through and through. Multiplayer is unfortunately a simple after thought without much in the way of balance, but this is a give in as this is Doom, not Battlefield. Consider it an extra mode that's not bad, but nothing special. In the end its about the Single Player experience. And this is great.

I haven't completed the game as of writing this review but I can tell you that this is a great game and a welcome change for FPS fans. There is some searching for key items in order to progress but nothing that is too difficult to locate. There are also hidden bonus items which are mentioned in the objectives screen. The action when fighting the mutants has you constantly moving with no place to hide. The gameplay and controls are smooth as can be with great graphics. The game is definitely worth having in your library.

Good game. I give it four stars because even though it's starts great , it get's a little repetitive towards the end. Overall the game is alot of fun , runs smooth, great action , and extremely visceral.

Graphics and animation are amazing. They did a lot to update the gameplay,but less is more would apply here. Even on its hardest setting it was lacking in challenge thanks to all the perks you accumulate along the way. Bullets and health drop out of defeated enemies like they are pinatas,which takes all the creepiness out of the creatures. Could have used another 2 boss fights to boot,but the ones they have are pretty well executed. The Snapmap creator tool is very well done and will have you playing other peoples muti and campaign levels,as well as designing your own.

This is a great game if you like FPS and or a fan of the Doom series. Great graphics and fast pace action. Really fun to play.

Dense, atmospheric, and takes advantage of the PS4 hardware to produce detailed, smooth action and environments. An awesome surprise!

If your a fan of Quake, Unreal Tournament, or any other fast paced shooter, then you will love this. The gore, the weapons, the AI. All is great and challenging if you play on Ultra-Violent.

(only Doom in years) but still the best one yet! Intense, fast, great sound too. Great campaign, great graphics, even the MP is fun.

Game is as good as they come. Weapons mods and a chainsaw that's super brutal and great to use. So much blood and gore it's awesome

Reviews that complain about lack of depth or no story crack me up. Demons. On. Mars. It shouldn't be made into something else -buy another game if you want "depth". I played original Doom once it was ported to Mac back in '94 and I have Doom3 for windows. This copy is the first time I have played Doom on a console. I die a lot, but I still have fun. My 13 year old son is much better at FPS games and plays quite a few different titles on our PS4. He was surprised by how much fun he has playing Doom. He wasn't expecting the graphics to be as good as they are and he likes the pace of the action. I'm glad I waited and bought the title on sale.

With Doom you know what you're getting and there's nothing wrong with that. Lots of guns and gore but it's done well and at 60 frames per second. There's a good enough story, lots of cool guns (also grenades and a chainsaw), great variety of enemies, and the game is pretty long for a first person shooter. You can upgrade your guns and the Doom Marine in a variety of ways. If you're like me, work full time and game to relieve stress this is a great game for exactly that. Press play and start shooting.

In this day and age when First Person Shooters feel to similar to one another, Doom (2016) completely revamps the genre with a fresh coat of paint (mostly bloody red). It’s only fitting as both Doom and Wolfenstein are the starting point of the First Person Shooter genre. Fast paced gameplay, ridiculously over-the-top glory kill system, and a blood pumping soundtrack make this a must buy.

An extremely fun game with amazing graphics and decent story. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's a fan of the series!
