This is one of those games that does a remake wonderfully. The action is fast, the violence is brutal, and the graphics are sick. This game fixed everything that was wrong with the previous doom and brings back what people loved about the old games. Multiple weapons, tons of enemies, blazing fast gameplay and a very good campaign. I recommend this game.

First off kuddos to bestbuy for matching the price! I was able to have them match gamestop's price and utilize my rewards to pick up this game for $15! No questions asked, they looked it up and confirmed. On with the game, intense graphics, great campaign! Can't comment on the multi as I don't have ps plus, shame on me. One thing I do miss is the scary jump parts like doom 3, that's the only reason I deducted one star, but for the price I paid totally worth it!

Let me tell you this game is bad a.........a little hard and scary .just kidding but it is very good they did a great job

DOOM could not have come back with a better re-imagining. Just ignore the lackluster multiplayer and you'll have a blast.

This game is such a great first person shooter if you like fast paced action. Highly recommended. Was a bargain for $15.

It's been awhile since I've play a Doom game but this one does not disappoint. Very fun run and gun type. Def recommend!

Doom is one of the craziest shooters I've ever played. Every level has you fighting huge amounts of demons with many different ways to kill them. There's a lot to explore from obtaining Doomslayer figures to doing rune challenges. If you wanted to take a break from the campaign, theres also multiplayer as well.

The campaign is a blast and while story driven, the emphasis is most on gameplay and the enjoyment of having a wide arsenal of weapons to take out demons. Thankfully, this isn't just another run of the mill Cutscene Interactive experience but rather a REAL GAME. SnapMap and Multiplayer are both excellent through and through. Definitely buy!

If you played the original game of Doom then this one is a great fit, graphics are awesome and play is really great.

I was more than pleasantly surprised to enjoy DOOM much more than I expected. I didn't like the last one as much. This DOOM is a perfect blend of the best of old school and new. I love trying to find all the collectibles too. I would recommend raising the difficulty as its really easy to breeze through once you've gotten some upgrades.

Doom is a great game with great level design and unapologetic in its raw and amazing gameplay. Doom Guy is back and ready to kick lots of Demons back where they belong.

The developers of DOOM knew exactly what they wanted to make: a game where you shoot demons, lots of them, with minimal hassle from cutscenes or forced walking sections. And, wow, have they succeeded. This is an old-school arena shooter at heart, and is missing many of the modern hallmarks of your typical military FPS. There is no regenerating health. Levels are open and built around exploration, platforming, and light puzzle solving. You can carry as many weapons as you like. But it supplements the classic DOOM formula with innovative new mechanics, including the great "glory kill" melee attacks which allow you to stylishly finish off your foes while gaining back health and ammo. This is a game where you do one thing, but are provided with the tools and abilities to make that one thing endlessly entertaining. You get lots of weapons and each of them is distinct, every upgrade useful. And you will need to use all of them. The variety of demon types is impressive, each one requiring a strategy to bring down, and they are always coming. Rip and tear until it's done.

Great plot and an overall good combat game. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but after practicing, it got better.

I got this for my husband for Christmas and got a fabulous price on black friday. I sure hope he likes it!

Any fan of the original doom will love this one. Action packed from the very beginning till the end.

First off for those of you that were able to experience the beta the final release version is very much improved. Overall the gameplay is very smooth. 4 hours in and the game has already exceeded my post beta expectations. The shooting and QTE finishers are very satisfying. I will not ruin the gameplay but I will say that the story is a direct omage to the original doom. Im not going to bore you with a long and drawn out review of the game but I will say that this is well worth a buy. If you are a fan of the previous doom series then this will likely be your new favorite. The graphics are a little disappointing but ID graphics engine hasn't quite been up to par for quite some time so this is top be expected. I will say though the graphics by no means are poor just a tad washed out IMO. The game play is very fast paced so if you are one that likes to take things slow then you may not enjoy the game. Much like the multiplayer beta the entire game is fast with tons of in your face action. You will have no problem spending hours on end enjoying the content of the game.

Excellent gift that i would recommend to a friend that has an interest for enjoying with the family.

This 2016 revival of DOOM is an excellent return for the series. In an era where most first-person shooters strive for realism, it's refreshing to play one that goes back to the roots of the genre. The gameplay is fast and furious, and it's all out action from beginning to end. They nailed it with this one!

True old school shooter...no strafing, no cover mechanics. Just your skill getting put to the test.
