I first played DOOM back in 1994, after thinking Wolf3D was huge fun prior to that. Played all the DOOM variants since. It was all PC until the 2016 and Eternal versions, which I switched to Xbox. Those were ok - of those two, preferred 2016. For this new one, I switched to PS5. I am nearly half way through now (I take my time and do 100% levels on Hurt Me Plenty, then may go back and bump it up). But, for DOOM Dark Ages, the physics are great. The Slayer has considerable heft, and can wipe out a bunch of demons just by jumping from high up (the higher the better!). The new shield is a lot of fun. I’d say the battles are a little easier than Eternal… but, unlike Eternal, at least so far, I haven’t had to jump blindly through the air (I don’t like that aspect of Eternal). DDA has been very enjoyable thus far. I do like that there are useful difficulty configuration settings. Some people whined about the menu appearance - it’s fine. You get the info you need. Great weapons, enemies, balance of ammo/armor. Dragon and Titan are fun as a change of pace. So far, no bugs. PS5 runs it smooth… and, Audeze Maxwell headphones are a nice way to hear it in 3D. I have been playing Doom since it first came out in the 90s. Loved all those titles. Fast forward - I throughly enjoyed the 2016 version. Eternal was good and this new one does not disappoint. Play style is more 2016 and it’s a blast. I appreciate the new elements the developers went with instead of just playing it safe with the same formula. Don’t get me wrong - the premise is the same- wipe out the demons- but the new features are a lot of fun. Can’t decide yet if I like this or the 2016 more but it’s better than Eternal.

Yeah! I wish I had 3 hands... oh wrong game. But this one has some nice back story and play control. I have not gotten to far in to it yet but the different types of weapons are nice with some old and some new. The music has been fitting and an interesting concept on the world the game is set in.

I bought this game for my wonderful boyfriend (he wanted to get it himself but he's done a lot for me so I wanted to treat him!) He really loves the game and franchise, I don't know much about it besides the ACH Isbelle memes (my apologies!), but from the couple of times I've watched him play, the storyline is interesting and the graphics are great:)

Another great Doom title. Simple, fun and everything you expect in this style of game.

Dark Ages was a very good game, but not better than Eternal. The medieval theme is amazing, the Slayer with more equipment, the new shield with the Chainsaw and the new melee weapons. You feel unstoppable with any enemy in the game. In my opinion it was an enjoyable and fun game.

So much fun, with really cool graphics. A worthy successor to Doom Eternal

If you like Doom or an FPS game this is the game for you. A little slower than the previous in terms of gameplay speed but the rest of the game has to offer makes up for it. Amazing game highly recommend

Game does not come on disc. Kind of lame considering a blu ray definitely has the space. I’m often in places with slow or no wifi so planning is required.

So far its been a blast playing. Pretty engaging and exciting

Brilliant game! Bought it for my Hubby at Christmas, he was so excited. We have been playing it since the New Year and there are no complaints from us, I 100% recommend it!

Overall fun game! I got about 6 hrs so far into it. Its action packed and tons going on all around you. Fast pace like the last Doom game.

I haven't played the game,,YET! But, I have all the updates and all the updates on my PS5 ready to go! I will be bringing the mess out of this game till my PS5 starts smoking. BUY THIS GAME, AND GET YOUR GAME ON!!

I love the Doom games. Having a blast with this one so far. Good story, great gameplay. Definitely purchase if you are a fan of Doom games.

Overall Doom The Dark Ages was a fun action packed experience. It leans hard on Story and Cinematics this time around which is in no way a bad thing. I would recommend this game to most players.

I bought this for my teenage son. Graphics are fantastic and he is obsessed!

Fun game just like the previous doom games, definitely like the robot that you get to ride in.
