This is basically the same as the movie plus more.

This will start off slow and it will even come off as annoying but this portion does introduce your major characters who will be active throughout the whole series from the looks of it. I honestly feel you can possibly ignore this portion and be alright but that's not the true spirit of Dragon Ball. You just watch and have fun. Sometimes it's fighting and sometimes it's slice of life. This is slice of life so don't cringe too hard and remember that prior to this we had a hiatus of Dragon Ball for nearly 2 decades. Take a deep breathe and let this just happen and be for what it is. Welcome Back Goku and the new Super Squad.

I really didn't want to give this series a shot with the bad art and the color tones they went for, the music is not as epic as dragon ball z was. I also feel as though the action sequences are very quick, I wish they would drag out more to make it more dramatic. I also wish there were little added details like battle damaged clothes, more blood and better fighting scenes. All in all though with some of these small things that are cons. Its new dragon ball and its nice to have new episodes of my favorite anime of all time. Glad to have the characters back and it can only keep getting better and better.

the action and graphics are outstanding in Blue Ray. The first two episodes are great (fillers are awesome)

I have yet to watch, but if it's anything like Dragon Ball Z, I'll love it.

If you liked Dragon Ball Z, I don't see how you could not like this. I do understand some of the complaints about the animation, but you have to curtail that a bit. The story is good and it is captivating, in my opinion. I am watching it live on Adult Swim, but I like it so much, I felt I needed to own it!

Now that Dragon Ball Super has been released in the US, the blu-rays have started releasing from Funimation and the quality is great. I love the box art, and the soundtrack is absolutely awesome! Funny characters in this series, and will get better as the episodes grow.

This has great animation. It follows the same story arc as battle of the gods but expands and adds enough to make it well worth the watch. Be warned episode 13 ends in a cliff hanger and you will have to wait until October for the next 13 episodes on blue ray.

I am a huge Dragonball Z fan and I was pretty excited that the series was going to get a continuation. This season starts of slow but it builds up as it progresses. There are more season to come and cant wait to own those and add them to my collection.

Any fans of DBZ or DB should love this as it is made by the original creator unlike the GT arc. This picks up right after the DBZ storyline ends with the defeat of Majin Bu it doesn’t get to the reincarnation of Bu at the tournament “yet”.

This starts off really slow but needed to add it to he collection. Great series and you should grab the Broly movie if posible

I've been a Dragon Ball fan for decades and hearing that Akira Toriyama was coming back to do another series I was ecstatic. Dragon Ball Super does not disappoint. I would recommend to any Dragon Ball fan to pick this up.

If you're a fan of dragon ball z, then you're gonna love this! The story is great! The action is great! The drawing style is different, but I appreciate it because it's something fresh. I highly recommend this to all Dragon Ball fans!
