DQB2 is a fantastic sequel to the first game, it improves on nearly all elements to make a better experience. Decent visuals, fun gameplay, and it doesn't disrespect your time.

A great blend of building a bunch of stuff and destroying a bunch of stuff. Grab a buddy (after 5 hours, give or take) and explore your island and battle a bunch of monsters.

Much better than the first game. This game is fun though the whole 85 hour game. That 85 hours is just the story. I have a friend who logged 350 hours just building.

Hard to put down, I've put about 50 hours in this game and I think I'm close to finishing the story. It's a lot of fun and a lot of improvements from the first.

This is better than the first game in all possible ways. The main improvement is the food and health restoration. Food is abundant and heals you as well.

DQB2 has many quality of life improvements compared to the first game. It'll be incredibly hard to put this game down if you're a fan of Dragon Quest.

Got this game to see if my nephew would like it. I ended up enjoying it so after I put in a couple more good hours on it I might let him play it. I like the building aspect and the nerd in me likes to build buildings in designs of things I like.

I am a big fan of the first game and the sequel does not disappoint. Really colorful, great music and so much building. Fun for any age group.

New to the series, but fun addicting gameplay, starts off slow for about the first hour then it really takes off, must have for the switch

much better than the first game, but many of the characters can be annoying, combat is almost optional but at some points in the game it's like the game is forcing you to halt your progress or is artificially lengthening the play time with tedious tasks and quests, it also makes you reset what materials and recipes you have and can make whenever you go to a new island for no particular reason, basically making you start over for that island, there is even a point where your hammer and all of the tools you've acquired are taken away for a period of time, dragging out the play time even more, it really is a fun game when you're set free to make whatever you want, but story mode is still very tedious, tiring, and frustrating

Has a pretty in-depth builder experience similar to Minecraft but with an interesting story for those that want that.

Loved the first game, this game brings alot to the table as in content, you can easily spends over 300hours into this and still love it☺️

I was very excited when i first saw the previews for this game. Square Enix did a great job of fixing all of the issues with DQB1 and adding more to the game. While the game is stellar, there are still a few cons: 1) load time is pretty long 2) it can be a little glitchy at times, but not distractingly so 3) so much unnecessary talking I never expect a game to be perfect, but this one is about as close as one could reasonably expect. It may not be a grand slam, but Square swung for the fences and hit a home run.

Fun game but it gets repetitive after sometime. For the first 20 hours or so I had a great time, but after that I found it tiresome starting in new areas and doing the quests.
