What a great way to enjoy a video game like Minecraft. I love this Dragon Quest game has it is very time consuming. This video game is like Minecraft with a mix of the Legend of Zelda game structure. Highly recommended for all those Nintendo Switch fans.

If you're one of those people who get bored easily with Minecraft because there's no real objective. Then this game is for you. It's basically if Minecraft and Dragon Quest had a baby. There's RPG elements, NPCs, world building, quest, a shallow but fun combat system, and great writing, the banter is comedic.

I love this game! Finished it 3 times from beginning to end. I hate minecraft since there is no goal in the game in my opinion, but this game has a almost everything I want in a game except for Multiplayer, other than that, this is amazing!

I love this game, so much so that even though I already had it for PS4, When I bought the Switch, I HAD to have this game for that system too, And I WAS NOT disappointed. I love being able to play this cute, sometimes tough game on the go.

I really love this game. It’s broken up into 4 sections, and each section you start over having to rebuild a town in a different area. It’s really fun to complete the missions to gain new building abilities. I can’t wait for the sequel.

Pleasantly surprised. This was my first experience with anything Dragon Quest related, it got me to purchase Dragon Quest XI.
The game itself is a cube-based building game, similar to Minecraft. However, there is a story line split into 4 different zones with their own crafting/town building objectives.
There is also a free build/play mode.

My daughter is very much into fantasy/RPG games, and this one does not disappoint, in regards to game play. As with most Switch games, the small screen when playing strictly on the console is somewhat limiting, but that's to be expected.

The gameplay is a fun way to kill time. The objectives and story make it more compelling and give you specific goals to work towards. If you enjoy Minecraft but want something with more predefined objectives this is a good choice.

I’ve had my eye on dragon quest builders ever since it was released on the PS4, but I’m so glad I waited for it on the switch because now I can take it everywhere. I spend hours exploring and building up my town. Super addictive!

This title is a good mix of RPG and building your own town. Highly recommend to people looking for something to keep you busy for a while as you build up your city and beat monsters. Reminds me of a good tower defense game.

My 7 year old absolutely loves it. I combines the crafting and searching of materials in Minecraft and the elements of getting stuff done with a purpose of an rpg.
It’s easy to learn how to play and at the same time fun.

I played this on the PS4 and loved it so I got this for my son. This is the only game he wants to play. He loves to build things in the game and then after he’s done, he wants to build a bunch around the house. Great game!

I was obsessing over this game for awhile, and finally decided to buy it. At the beginning it's a little slow but once you've done a handful of quests it starts to pick up. The mechanics to the game are wonderful. I love the simplicity of the game but having so much you can do, as with many sandbox games currently out. I play this game around 3-4x per week and the only thing I don't like is the creepy sounding music in the background, and the inability to turn it off or on. I know it's the original music from the dragon quest games way back when, but creepy to me. You can only lower the music down to a low volume but not off completely. That's a bit unsettling for me, but then again I can just press mute on my tv.
I love the fact that you don't have to worry about running out of space in the characters bag, that truly makes for a more fun game. My husband has also played the older DQ games and he enjoys watching me play, gives him a feeling of nostalgia.
I would recommend this to all my friends but sadly they don't like games like dragon quest (lol - they are missing out!)
But I would recommend to you, the person reading my review! Buy it now - it's worth the price!

I bought this game because I enjoyed the demo. I am a LONGTIME fan of minecraft. It doesn’t offer as much in depth recipes and building capabilities. But as a basic building game with a story, this is the game for me.

Builders is a more structured version of mine craft. I've never been a fan of they style of gene but covering it in dragon quest art and humor makes it a good play. The switch version plays week in both docked and handheld. Give it a shot of you like rpgs and mine craft

Dragonquest theme is pasted on but the story and mechanics of this game are great. It can get a bit repetitive but I find myself coming back to this game often. The free build mode is great too.
