If you love crafting and collecting things, but wish there was more of a plot, then this game is a great choice. The nostalgia is an added bonus.

Determined to start a new life in the country, the Turner Family - Dad, stepmom, little Jennifer and teenager Matt - leaves the city for the wilds of Virginia. The move creates problems for everyone, especially Matt, who feels lost and alone in his new surroundings. Fortunately, the Turners are helped by a homeless collie who becomes part of their lives - and Matt does a lot of growing up as a result of the dog's unflinching loyalty.

I bounced off Minecraft because I never felt like I had anything to do. Dragon Quest builders keeps you busy with a unique story.

This takes minecraft's playstyle and adds RPG elements to it in a way that makes this game the most played on my console so far!

So far I love everything about the watch with one exception. The coating over the steel does not stand up to any bumps at all. I haven't worn a watch for some time before purchasing this one, so it's taking a little adjustments not to bump it into random things and there are several scuffs and scratches. If I had known it was that delicate I would have gone with the silver instead faced instead of the frontier. (I just figured black would go with everything) I receive notifications so I do not miss important messages or calls if my phone is out of reach, which is fantastic with a teenager that might need to get ahold of me. The option for different faces is enjoyable if I want to change things up. The apps are functional. Overall it does all I need.

I enjoy playing Dragon Quest Builders. The graphics are cute, and the game alllows you to exercise some creativity. My only real complaint about the game is that the gameplay can seem slightly repetitive at times.

Was hesitant on adding this to my Switch collection. It's a great game though. Minecraft meets Zelda!! Definite must have.

Fun Hybrid of Building Sim/JRPG Genres

Dragon Quest Builders does not aim to upend your expectations of what an RPG or building sim might be. That said, it does a great job at both of those genres: it's more goal-oriented than Minecraft and your character levels up not through battle but rather through improving your city for residents. The world itself if pleasantly designed, if a touch drab, but the classic Dragon Quest aesthetic will have you smiling at each new monster you meet. The dialogue is also quite charming. I've only made it through Chapter One so far, but the performance in docked mode and handheld mode are both excellent - it gets a steady 60fps docked and at least 30fps in handheld, so you'll enjoy yourself in either arrangement.

There are definitely some annoying aspects to this game, but it’s exactly what I was looking for otherwise.
